Oh no cupcake Confused really hope they can do something for him, he's had this a few days now hasn't he?

Sooo many spelling mistakes in my last post!

Siarie · 23/02/2015 10:36

All these sick DS's, hope things improve as sick children must be really hard work.

I had my 31 week midwife appointment this morning. I mentioned a few things I'd be having. Heart palpitations and on the weekend I had braxton hicks which were different. Normally I just get tightenings but I had cramps, backache and regular braxton hicks Saturday night which continued Sunday morning. Started timing them and they were happening every five minutes for two minutes on average!

Apparently I should have gone to hospital to get checked out, at least I know for next time. I've got an obstetrician appointment tomorrow and have to mention my palpitations so he/she can check my heart, if I want to give birth in the low risk centre they need to be sure my hearts ok.

To top it all off I was lying down so the midwife and student midwife could check my bump and suddenly felt sick. I said I wanted to sit up and ended up having a fainting episode again. They are horrible! No control at all, everything goes dark and slows down.

Ducky23 · 23/02/2015 12:41

Have the bh's stopped now?

Bearsinmotion · 23/02/2015 13:05

Oh dear, hope the littlies are on the mend! I am three days away from induction date, just been to see the doctor and my blood pressure is still low, rah! But (sorry if TMI!) I think my mucus plug has gone this morning Confused. So not sure what is happening now!

Sorry to hear you're not right either Siarie, I think when you're pregnant it's really hard to tell when it's serious or not!

Sorry your H is being a dick too Ducky :(

Siarie · 23/02/2015 13:17

Yeah, I've only had irregular ones since. Like in fact right now, ouch ouch! It was worrying as they were regular but I didn't want to make a fuss if it was just normal you know? I have a high pain threshold and I always sit wondering if this is painful enough to be worried about.

Ooo the mucus plug bears you might go into labour naturally before your induction.

Ducky23 · 23/02/2015 13:17

Oooooohhhh exciting bears!!! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin you feeling ok apart from the low bp?

Ducky23 · 23/02/2015 13:18

Siarie can you pop mac? It's probably nothing but better to be safe, afaik bh's shouldn't be painful? Contractions on the other hand are.

Siarie · 23/02/2015 13:31

Ducky I'm going back there for my antenatal class this evening so if they become rhythmic again I'll speak to someone. I asked the midwife how I know whether it's BH or real contractions and he said that basically BH can sometimes be painful the only way of telling is that they should be random and there shouldn't be any rhythm to them.

So if you get like five long ones with 5-10 minutes in between that's something to be looked at. All very confusing if you ask me, because the BH I had were uncomfortable (crampy) which was why I was worried on the weekend when normally mine are just tight.

Pregnancy is not easy is it! Bears I have low blood pressure too, thats why I fainted earlier :(

Bearsinmotion · 23/02/2015 17:37

Sorry, meant low as not use gh, rather than actually low! Was induced for high blood pressure with DD so have been keen to avoid that! Still no sign of labour though - current plan is to stay in bed until Wednesday and hope he stays there!

LuluJakey1 · 23/02/2015 18:58

Why do you want to do that Bear? Hope he does not come until Wednesday?

Siarie, we had someone at work who fanted regularly. She was very tall and her Dr thought thàt plus pregnancy was causing it.

DS is fine. Dr said his chest is clear- just a head cold. His temp was 36.8 which he said isn't to worry about. It seems to be drying up a bit- it's watery rather than any horrible colour snot (TMI sorry). Anyway, he has had his feeds and cried less today. Not himself though. Had a sleep this afternoon- so did I.

How is DS Cupcake?

lillamyy1 · 23/02/2015 20:43

Yes cupcake, how is DS? I'm sending you lots and lots of sticky vibes too Flowers It's so nice that your friend is pg too Smile I wish I had a pg friend nearby.
Glad your DS is ok Lulu.
Bears, how many weeks are you now? Why do you want to wait until weds?
Ducky, I think the texts sound harmless enough... if there were a lot to and fro I'd consider it a bit flirty though, despite innocent context. Personally I don't think the drug-taking is anything to worry about but it made me feel Angry that he was laughing about you not knowing! I think that's a bit pathetic of him actually. I'd definitely leave it for now and check regularly. Didn't you say he's secretive about his phone or was that Cupcake's H?
How have things been between you guys recently anyway?? I mean, is he affectionate etc?
Siarie, I'd have called the doc about those symptoms. I hope all's well. I haven't had any BH at all (that I've noticed) - is that normal? I'm 33 weeks now. You're lucky that your PGP isn't too bad. And great that you had such strong core muscles when you got pg! I kept meaning to strengthen mine but was too lazy and now massively regret it!
DP, DP's grandma and my DM have all said that it looks like my bump has 'dropped'. I wonder if he's head down already? I've had especially bad pelvic pain and maybe that's why? I wish I had a home ultrasound so I could see where he is and what he's up to! I can't often work out whereabouts he's lying. He wriggles about so much it feels like there's an octopus in there sometimes! Grin

Bearsinmotion · 23/02/2015 21:17

Wednesday is when I'm booked in for an induction. It all went so well with DD I'd like a similar experience this time around. I find the idea of spontaneous labour terrifying.

Ducky23 · 23/02/2015 21:32

How quick was your induction last time bears?

I think I would have preferred a spontaneous one, indication was just boring because it took 3 days for me, with dd it was spontaneous and I can imagine with a different outcome it would be exciting Smile

Ducky23 · 23/02/2015 21:34

Lil he is secretive, and if I so much as touch it to check the time he Goes 'what you doing with my phone'

We are not affectionate. We have not DTD since I got pg with ds (I wouldn't have DTD whilst pregnant as I was terrified of anything happening) and thinking about it I don't remember when we so much as kissed Hmm

LuluJakey1 · 23/02/2015 21:36

Bears FX for Wednesday then! I think I had been in labour a while before I realised. I had back pains for about 5 or 6 hours and I just thought he was lying awkwardly. Then my waters broke. It was still bearable though and I stayed at home another 3 or 4 hours and dozed a bit. By the time I got to the hospital I was 6 cm. And then I walked around quite a lot. By the time I asked for the epidural it was too late and I just had to manage on gas and air but it wasn't too terrible - although at the time I thought it was Grin

LuluJakey1 · 23/02/2015 21:43

I don't know how you can live with someone like that Ducky. Do you trust him at all with anything? Do you feel loved?

I had some rubbish relationships before I met DH and I think two of those men in particular just totally eroded my self- confidence. I felt hopeless at life. I'll never ever let someone do that to me again. I would rather be by myself and happy than put up with that again. I find it hard to believe now that I let them treat me the way I did. I would just put up with anything. My mum said she just watched my confidence disappear. DH would be out of the door if he did any of it (and he is very clear about that).

lillamyy1 · 24/02/2015 00:15

Yes, that's a real shame Ducky, you deserve so much more Flowers

Bearsinmotion · 24/02/2015 01:54

Induction took ~14 hours last time, but I slept through a lot of it.

Think I'm having contractions now but very irregular! DP going to call midwife!

Cupcake92 · 24/02/2015 05:04

Oh gosh good luck Bears!!!

And siarie hope I feel okay soon. And ur DS lulu hope he gets better soon :)

My DS has a head cold too but he has so much mucus he keep throwing up. He's only just gone to sleep!!! He's been up all night long :( I'm exhausted. He's so poorly bless him.
Booked my scan yesterday. Monday 16th March! I'll be nearly 8 weeks then. I'm already terrified. I am so so scared everyday about this pregnancy, if I was able to sit in bed till I know the baby is okay and growing well etc I would. Just so I didn't harm anything .

Hope everyone else is okay! I'm off to bed now to see if I can get some sleep Grin

LuluJakey1 · 24/02/2015 07:08

Good luck Bears Smile Sounds like he might be on his way.

Cupcake, hope you are getting some sleep now. I was up until after 2 with Ds and he finally fell asleep and woke at half 5. DH gave him his bottle and has gone to work and DS is sleeping in his chair in the sitting room.Seems easier for him in the chair. I am going to try and have another hour on the sofa infront of him. Cats are shut out of the room. FX

Hope you are feeling better Ducky. Flowers Lilla is right- you deserve someone nicer.

Bearsinmotion · 24/02/2015 07:10

Oh no Cupcake, poor you and poor DS, it's horrible when they are poorly.

Nothing happening here now - contractions went away and I went back to sleep! Not sure whether to send DP to work or not Confused

Cupcake92 · 24/02/2015 07:52

Lulu Hensley from 5:30 till 7:30 and has thrown up again at 7:40 :( it's so exhausting. He missed himself this time so no bath. But the constant cleaning up sick and bathing and changing clothes for both me and him as he catches me, it's just all so so tiring :( he's no better at all :(
Hope u mange that hours sleep and DS starts to feel better today.

Might start up again soon Bears! :) how exciting tho!

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 24/02/2015 07:52

He slept* not Hensley lol

Siarie · 24/02/2015 07:58

Urgh I've had a headache since I fainted yesterday. But must get up as I have an obstetrician appointment at the hospital this morning. Whenever I faint I feel bloody awful for a while after, like jetlag!

cupcake try to relax, stressing isn't good and there's nothing you can do. There's nothing you did last time, what will be will be. Are you staying home to look after your DS today? He sounds like he's got a tummy bug.

Bears darn false alarms, sounds like your body is gearing up though. Are you excited or worried?
