Wicked news cupcake GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin x

CP1299 · 19/02/2015 11:57

Congrats Cupcake
I was on here last year (then disappeared as it was becoming all too much for me) and I remember your disappointment. Good to see the April thread is still going strong! Sad that your partner is still playing up. You have been so wonderful to so many ladies on this thread.
I got my BFP yesterday- cycle 9 :-)

Siarie · 19/02/2015 12:02

There you go Cupcake and that's the same BFP I got on my FRER at 9DPO (although as we agreed your body has a long DPO cycle). But my point being that looks like a really good line for your body.

Let the week by week count down begin!

Congratulations to you too CP1! I remember you, I don't know if you remember me, I think we may have been on the same bus together a few times back last summer?

30+3

Ducky23 · 19/02/2015 12:10

Congrats cp!!! Grin

LuluJakey1 · 19/02/2015 12:17

Congratulations! Bet you are delighted. Smile

LuluJakey1 · 19/02/2015 12:18

Cupcake! Fantastic- you must be so happy Smile

LuluJakey1 · 19/02/2015 12:25

Ducky, we feed him and put him on the bed with me when DH goes to work. He always brings me some tea so I have that while DS has a kick and a gurgle. Then I get up and have a shower- he goes in his baby seat on the bathroom floor and quickly dry my hair and get dressed, wash him and dress him and we are ready for the day!

He is easy most of the time. I am just surprised by how little he sleeps between 6 am and midnight! I thought he would sleep loads.

CP1299 · 19/02/2015 13:26

Thanks ladies
yes Siarie I remember :-)

I remember that this was the nicest bus. I was just stressing myself out so I had to hide away. I may need to hide away again as I can work myself up. Also being a medic I have seen the more negative side of health so I am all skewed towards things going wrong. I forget that for the majority everything is ok.

LuluJakey1 · 19/02/2015 16:55

Anyone got any tips on managing baby boys who pee in the air while you are changing their nappy? DS soaked DH this morning and me this afternoon. Hmm

We have tried the warm a wipe thing but he manages to pull it off. We got through 3 nappies in one change this afternoon between peeing in the air and pooing.

MIL says it is cold air that makes him do it. He has got the timing down to a fine art. Smile

Cupcake92 · 19/02/2015 16:55

Thank u everyone! :) im so so happy! It's like ive got my rainbow at the end of the storm! :) hoping it'll all be okay and I'll give birth to a healthy baby.
Sorry I just quickly posted, I was at work and had brought them at the chemist just before I started then on my lunch break I decided to do one as I was working myself up over the cheapie ones. I was jumping for joy in the staff toilets haha Grin

And congrats CP!! :) what a lovely day for BFP's!! :)

Hope everyone else is okay and having a good day

Wow, massive congratulations cupcake and cp!! Grin Grin
Glad DS is doing well Ducky Smile
Lulu, I read that the thing to do is put a muslin over him while you're changing him to stop the wee going in the air!
I've had a miserable day today, felt fine when I got up and tidied the kitchen and made myself some porridge then all of a sudden just lost all my energy and couldn't even muster the strength to go to the shop for bread, milk etc. I felt so sorry for myself and frustrated - I hate not being able to do every day little chores! The hoovering hasn't been done for ages and there's no point asking DP to do it because he misses half the dust etc and doesn't do the corners! He's working today and this eve anyway so he couldn't help.
Anyway my mum came round with lots of food and is making a chicken casserole, bless her Smile

LuluJakey1 · 19/02/2015 17:43

He seems to be able to manage to just do it at the precise second we move the muslin or the wipe. I have read another one today about loosening the used nappy for a few seconds to let the cold air get to him and then put it back over him and he'll wee in the nappy. Going to try it.

It is quite funny- he hit DH and then himself this morning- they both had to be changed . Grin Sort of male bonding- pooed on DH the other night and peed today. DH is waiting for the trio with projectile vomit he says. LOL.

It doesn't happen every time thank goodness.

LuluJakey1 · 19/02/2015 17:45

I have days like that sometimes Lilla where I feel very low, energyless and am just unable to motivate myself to do anything. They pass. Hope you feel better.

Ducky23 · 19/02/2015 18:12

Ohhh lil I love cAsserole!

Lulu ds went through a phase of doing that, the only thing I did was get the new nappy ready and open and quickly put it on and wipe after, doesn't work for a poo though!

So happy for you cupcake Smile

Cupcake92 · 19/02/2015 18:41

That's lilla! :) aw bless it sucks not having energy to do anything :( I hope it passes and ur feeling better soon. And what a lovely mom u have! :) would love my mom to come over and cook casserole! That's if she was able to cook it haha Grin

Lol lulu I bet ur DH feels like a human target Grin at least this is a good story to tell DS when he grows up Grin

Haha Ducky my DS did it with poo once! Took his nappy off on the bed at like 2am and he shot poo everywhere!! Had to change all the sheets Grin

Hi April ladies! This is my first time on mumsnet but I've just read through this whole thread and you're a lovely lot Smile I hope you don't mind me tagging along. DH and I are planning to start TTC in April. We got married in July and have moved half way around the world, so now we've had a month of not much happening we figure it is time to start Grin

I have PCOS which was diagnosed when I was 16 (am now 28) and I've been on metformin ever since. I came off the pill in December but have had no sign of AF since Sad I am booked in to see a gynae in March (earliest appointment I could get - how very dare these people go on holiday?!) but hopefully I'll have seen some sort of action by then. I'm all clueless at the moment though. Currently on about cd75.

I have just ordered a basal thermometer and a load of ovulation sticks so I expect to be thoroughly obsessed with POAS in roughly 2 weeks Grin

Ducky23 · 19/02/2015 19:39

Hi abfab! Smile 75 days?!? I had v irregular cycles and it was anywhere from 14 - 65ish days so can relate with the long cycles Confused so stressful! Hope you get your BFP sharpish!!

So tierd, as soon as I typed the last message I had more red stringy blood, which has stopped again Hmm and ds hasn't slept all day he's so grumpy Confused

AbFab86 · 19/02/2015 20:00

Thanks Ducky Smile I live in the Middle East now and the online shopping here is either non-existent or crap so when I ordered the ov sticks and it said '14-25 days' I had a proper strop! My dad is popping back to the UK next week though so I've ordered some for him to bring back too. Will probably tell him not to open the envelope for his own sanity. Saying that, last time we went out for a meal DH and I told him we wanted to have our first baby by the end of next school year (we're both teachers) and my dad's response was 'bloody hell you'd better get home then' BlushShock

Sorry to hear you're knackered. Hope DS has a quiet night for you.

I'm currently binge-watching One Born Every Minute on 4od. I don't know whether it's healthy. So many unplanned babies, when people who plan them so well are left peeing on sticks...

Siarie · 19/02/2015 20:48

Hi AbFab it can take a while before your first AF but if you temp then you should be able to get an idea of what's going on.

Charting is great, you may even be able to see your body trying to ovulate but just not being able to yet. So I think it's great you're trying that out.

Lulu only thing I've been told is to just point the dangle down using your finger when there's no nappy. My mum had three boys, luckily I don't have to worry about that this time. But I should think controlling the wee target direction should help a bit.

lillamyy1 · 19/02/2015 21:02

Hi Abfab! Welcome to the thread Smile it'll be great to have a new TTC-er to keep the few who haven't had their bfp's / babies yet Grin
Wow, the Middle East?! Are you finding it a culture shock?
I can't believe that when my little one makes an appearance it'll be a whole year since most of us first 'met'!! The time seems to have gone by really fast (although when ttc and then suffering ms it was sooooo slow!!)
Just found out the dreaded MIL is coming over tomorrow Confused She's bringing yet more things we haven't asked for! Pictures for the walls I think (not that we really need any!) It's so awkward, I'll feel ungrateful/rude refusing to take any of it that I don't like, and it'll be so difficult if DP does like something and wants it as I don't, and we'll end up arguing about it in front of her!
She drives me mad, last time she was here she was telling us how we should rearrange our furniture and saying that we should put the enormous telly on my delicate, pretty coffee table - which would break it - instead of on the very plain, sturdy one that she gave us. She's such an interfering cow! Angry
I might invent a doctors appointment or something... But hen I wouldn't be there to refuse all the bloody crap she brings round for us and then I'll have to find somewhere to store it or take it to the charity shop

LuluJakey1 · 19/02/2015 21:03

We have tried Siarie but sometimes he wriggles and it pops up. MIL says DH was the same- 'His willy was all over the place and he peed like a fountain' to quote her. He had the grace to Blush and say 'Mum!'

Have tried the nappy trick I mentioned and it worked really well- on DS that is. It is really simple and seems to do the trick. No more wet clothes (or faces in DH's case).

He and DS are watching football in the other room and I am glued to the Eastenders saga.

Ducky, my cousin had two really light periods- hardly periods at all she said- after she gave birth, before AF returned normally.

CP1299 · 19/02/2015 21:36

Abfab congrats on your new marriage. Life must be very exciting, especially as you have moved so far away. Just a little note about the ovulation sticks. My clearblue information leaflet mentioned not being helpful for women who have PCOS. Check what your info leaflets say. You could probably still use it but it may not be reliable.

Hi Ab! :) welcome to te tread! Wow cd 75 is pretty long but don't worry this is a very lucky thread and ur bfp will be round the corner :)

Oh lilla I hope u manage to get through MIL's stay!! Poor u! :(
I mentioned I had a lovely MIL..... Not anymore. Since me n H split she's taken his side n won't speak to me or anything.

Lulu im glad the nappy trick worked! :) yay for the nappy trick! I'm also watching eastenders but I can't wait for this story to end, it's gone on too long.
