purdey cp not cm. :)
Yes, I wasn't sure about if i had ovulated then or later so I just sort of took that as a date. Bleeding has increased so that I need to wear a liner, but still not heavy or dark. As I've heard people say, meh. Hmm

mrsb0710 · 04/02/2015 15:07

Tentatively hopping back on the bus.
#29 #TTC 1 #2nd cycle - kind of

I fell first cycle after coming off bc in October, but discovered a MMC and had to have surgery in Dec, was about 5 weeks when everything stopped progressing.

Today heralded arrival of AF - about 5 weeks since my ERPC. I think I may have ovulated about 2 weeks ago, but we weren't really TTC.

I'm relieved that AF has finally arrived, as we can now get back on track, and start again. It was a horrible thing to go through, but we have to stay positive.

Am using Ovia app, but would love OPK recommendations. Are the pink clear blue ones good, and how many days after CD1 should I start?
Crossing fingers I'll catch again quickly, going to try our darn best anyway!

spinningirl10 · 04/02/2015 15:34

Mrsb good to see you back here but sorry for your mmc. Hoping you get your sticky bfp soon.

Hairstylisttoboris · 04/02/2015 15:35

mrsb welcome! Make yourself at home.

opks - I couldn't get on with the clear blue ones. A few tests didn't work for me. I found the really cheap ones from Amazon are good, you can buy packs of like 50 for £7 - I use the brand called one step. You have to pee into a pot then dip the stick.... At that price I happily test any time of the day or month, where as with the clear blue ones they are so damn expensive its like peeing into your purse.....

Hairstylisttoboris · 04/02/2015 15:37

mrsb sorry for your recent experience Flowers

Giddymamma · 04/02/2015 15:37

No, no Lilly! I'll be on the other side of the door. With purdey, boris, and if I'm lucky, the twirls. Grin

Giddymamma · 04/02/2015 15:39

Fingers crossed you do mrsb.

mrsb0710 · 04/02/2015 15:41

Thanks ladies. I'm in no way 'over' my experience, but feeling ready to go again.
Poor DH, he's got some back pain at the moment, but I've told him he's got about 8 days to man up!
I ended up resigning from my job due to their attitude after my MC, and don't start my new one until end of month. I'll have all day to pee in OPKs and jumping DH when he gets home :)

Hairstylisttoboris · 04/02/2015 15:47

mrsb shocked that you had to leave your job over how you were treated. It's amazing how bad some employers are. I got made redundant when I got married and I am 99% sure it was because they knew I'd want children. I took the bastards to the cleaners and played hard ball and won.

Lillygolightly · 04/02/2015 15:49

*mrsb - sorry to hear about your mmc and sorry to hear about your work behaving so terribly about it that awful and I'm sure it was the last thing you needed to deal with. Hope things go well in your new job and good luck for a BFP soon!

PurdeyBirdie · 04/02/2015 16:31

Sparkly, my lovely girl, it is maddening as f**k that you and hubby are making all this damned effort - and you had that gorgeously positive opk - and you may not ovulate. Miscarriages rarely leave no footprint in the following cycle, so I just wanted you to steel yourself..but I can see I've probably made you feel worse with my warning. There is still a chance your body will lob the egg out - it is clearly trying to Thanks

Giddy, perhaps you could be the cup-bearer? I'm not sure his aim's that good though, so I'd watch my hair if I were you Grin

Giddymamma · 04/02/2015 16:34

This has all spiralled out of control purdey. I just wanted a twirl really... Grin

PurdeyBirdie · 04/02/2015 16:42

MrsB, welcome to the bus but I am really sorry you suffered that mmc. They are more evil than Stephen Fry. I love that you told your job to do one; who wants to work for such inhumane bastards? Good for you..I hope your baby takes no time at all to find you Thanks

I'm with Boris; the One Step internet cheapies have never let me down in three years - but I think that's down to the fact that I am willing to test several times a day in the run-up.

Giddy, there's a word for women like you: prick-tease Grin

Sparkly123 · 04/02/2015 16:45

Mrsb welcome and I'm so sorry for what you are going through. Amazing that you did pregnant so quickly first time so try and focus on that. We are all here to support you and I hope you get your BFP very very soon! Flowers I use the CB ovulation kit and it always works for me.. I run it alongside the one step OPKs to confirm and everything corresponds! So fingers crossed they work well for you too. I would def recommend them although totally with Boris in that you are literally peeing into your purse! Ha ha. Can't believe that about your work! But yes look on the positive you will be free as a bird for dtd before you start the new one.

Purdey not at all!!! You didn't make me feel worse honest! I'm just having a bad day not feeling so invincible as usual and hate the constant stress of not knowing .. This cycle is just all over the place. I must must must focus myself! I know it would only be a few more weeks until we can try again I think I just got excited thinking it could possibly happen this month for us.. Was really getting me through it all! Sorry for rambling, I appreciate your advice so much. I have a sign above my door which says "expect a miracle" ... I'm going with that!! Hmm

Really sorry dojo and mrsb hope you are both ok and get a lovely bfp soon!

I am feeling relaxed after my second day of no temping (and no early alarm!) not sure I'll feel so laid back by Cd14! But we will see.

purdey juney and sparkly can I ask why you're doing AI instead of (or as well as?) DTD?

mrsb0710 · 04/02/2015 17:00

Honestly, work had been arses for a while, but after the mc, it was the final.straw. Relieved to be out of there, it's been a struggle financially, but the stress of putting up with them wasn't worth it anymore.

AF is really really heavy, and painful. I've heard the first one after mc can be, and obviously I'm in that boat. Yuk. Not nice at all.

Will check out the CB OPKs,and cheapie ones too. Definitely cant hurt.

MN has been so supportive through it all, and I'm glad to be back on the boards with support to help through TTC.

mrsb0710 · 04/02/2015 17:03

sparkly how do you use the two OPKs in conjunction? When should I start, how often etc.
I used a cheap brand last time, tested the once and it was pos, and then dtd every second day. It worked, and I'm trying not to stress about it not working,or mc happening again. Relax is my mantra. Haha, we'll see how long that lasts!!

Sparkly123 · 04/02/2015 17:04

Purdey Shock seriously. You could write a book.

Missmrs I mentioned earlier in thread, may even have been jan bus so you prob missed it- we have some issues with dtd that we are trying to sort out- pain etc.. I also have a number of health problems and Am often bed bound/housebound and quite unwell so doctors think separating the two issues- dtd and TTC is best. Especially as sometimes during the fertile period I would be unable to dtd so this way is straightforward for actually getting the deed done! I think chances of conception are much the same as dtd so fingers crossed!! Good work on taking a relaxed approach!! Wink hope it works and this is your month !

tessiegirl · 04/02/2015 17:04
Hmm
loopylou1984 · 04/02/2015 17:05

Just a quick post to say hi to everyone. Sorry to hear more sad news today... Surely things have to pick up soon?

I've used up nearly all my data allowance on my phone so can no longer check mn at work ?? - I've missed loads today! X

Sparkly123 · 04/02/2015 17:11

mrsb so I use the CB smiles OPK and also the ICs... I dip both sticks in my urine sample and the result is always the same on each so I think that's a result to trust!(so I always get my smiley face on CB and dark positive line on cheapie at same time) I start from CD 7/8 because I try to follow smep (ish...) and we do eod until we get smiley face/positive OPK then do three days in a row and usually my temp rises just after that. After my early mc just a couple weeks ago I thought I would be so much more relaxed now about TTC because I figured you really can't tell what will happen so what's the point wasting energy stressing about it all.. However just over two weeks in and although I had two positive OPKs and an abundance of ewcm I have no temp rise yet so I'm feeling confused again! It's a roller coaster! I totally connect with what you said about not being "over it" but felt I needed to get back on it quickly otherwise id dwell too much.. I need the focus! Our BFPs are waiting I'm sure of it!!!

MissMrsMummy · 04/02/2015 17:24

Ahh I see sparkly that makes perfect sense. I really hope it works for you and means you have a better chance - you can AI to your heart's content without health issues getting in the way.

tessie are you ok?

Sweets27 · 04/02/2015 17:56

Purdey, QQ - what makes Stephen Fry evil?

PurdeyBirdie · 04/02/2015 18:00

'Evil' was a deliberately emotive term, just like the deliberate use of bone- cancer-in-children anecdotes he used to disparage God.
