Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Genni, defo go out, iPlayer is the best plan!

I'm another one who's life feels on hold cos of ttc. Also 30 in August and I can't make any plans cos it all depends if I get my bfp before then. Dp is getting pressure too - he's supposed to be going on a stag weekend in November and doesn't want to book flights and stuff in case he can't go.

Pikz · 20/02/2015 17:40

Can I tell you a story. I tried for my DS for a year before I had to have a laproscopy, hysteroscopy and adhesion removal. The whole year I said I can't just in case I'm pregnant, I found out until I had the operations I would never be pregnant. I wasted that whole year not living properly.

So as we were on the waiting list and it could be ages til it happened I bought a TT, DH confirmed his place at the world championships and we booked a ski trip. My op got brought forward. I got pregnant 3 cycles after it. Had to sell the car and DH made the birth by 2 days because of the world championship.

Don't stop living ladies all things can be enjoyed either way

Southy84 · 20/02/2015 18:03

This is a slightly pointless message but I just got a flashy smiley :) cd17 and was starting to panic but now wondering if we've been Mis-timing DTD. Just thought I'd share. I know it's not a solid smiley but hopefully it will get there!

Hairstylisttoboris · 20/02/2015 18:41

I'm desperate to leave a hideous job but fearful of isshooooos with mat leave entitlement (plus I have 4 frigging months notice to give). My life is sort of on hold ttc. But definitely pikz message is a good reminder as to why you shouldn't...

spinningirl10 · 20/02/2015 18:47

I've been sent an appointment for a US pelvis trans abdominal and transvaginal scan. It's for March 9th so not long to wait!

spinningirl10 · 20/02/2015 18:52

Genni enjoy your meal, maybe go somewhere with a tvGrinGrin

chasingtherainbow · 20/02/2015 18:53

Ooohhhhhhh just got a twitchy left side for a few minutes then.

Still no decent amount of ewcm though and still seems quite watery. . Does anyone use pressed. Massive tmi coming up but we really don't need to be using lube when dtd, but worried without that all important ewcm the spermys won't get to destination egg.

Any advice? I noticed hardly any last cycle too. I used to get losds?!

Amyyy27 · 20/02/2015 19:56

chasing exactly the same here. Very watery cm but not stretchy... hope that doesnt affect this month Confused x

chasingtherainbow · 20/02/2015 20:04

Preseed*

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 20/02/2015 20:58

Spinning I'm having a scan too, not sure what to expect either. Just says to drink loads of water before as need a full bladder.

kissinggiraffe · 20/02/2015 21:29

Ow ladies. Lots of us feeling down about the whole ttc malarkey. It's so hard but we will get there. We have 2 choices; give up or give it all we've got....

I completely put my life on hold when ttc #3 and passed up some incredible opportunities. I regret that now so won't be doing it this time. I will make plans then deal with any issues as and when.

I'm peeing on my first ever opk tomorrow. It'll only be cd 8 so I know it's a tad premature but I want to get a few days practice in Grin

Anyone watch eastenders. I got all emotional and thought 'ooh, symptom' then remembered where I am in my cycle!

spinningirl10 · 20/02/2015 21:33

Purple, yes mine says to drink lots of water but it's at 8.20am! When's yours?

Kissing, I thought Eastenders was fantastic tonight, it made me crySmile

nightandthelight · 20/02/2015 21:38

AF due today but no sign :( hope it isn't a week late like last month! Just want to get onto my next cycle.

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 20/02/2015 22:33

In a couple of weeks at 11am.
kisssing I'm also on cd 8 and have started poas although I don't Ov until 13/14, don't want to miss it!
I bought 30 ic opks, thought they'd last six months have already had to get another lot.

pulpi · 20/02/2015 22:43

Feeling rather at odds about AF arriving. In some ways, it's not the end of the world because it means I can properly celebrate finishing my PhD in the next week. My supervisor's partner has a microbrew company and my gods the beer is worth the cost a ticket back to Canada. No morning sickness at the defence and plenty of fun to be had in the hotel room (only way to keep warm on the Canadian prairie). And we're only about to start cycle #3 - complete newbies by some reckonings - and even though there's a 3-month fever-induced delay for the DH, there's a good chance we'll fall pregnant within a year or so. We hope.

But I would trade it all for the chance to have a wee baby of my own in my arms. The sheer bliss in holding my 3-day old nephew a few years ago must absolutely pale in comparison to having and holding my own child. AF has me so damned hormonal about all this I could just lay down and cry.

So here I sit tonight, a pint and James Taylor on the turntable. I've got those steamroller blues.

chasingtherainbow · 20/02/2015 23:31

I have no idea what possessed me to waste an opk right now. Clearly it was neg! I've got freaking opk left and it's cd12. Bugger. I really don't want to fork out on more for what's essentially 3-4 days max left. . Gah.

coffeenut · 21/02/2015 00:27

Great advice kissinggiraffe ... don't put your lives on hold, make plans, then deal with them if and when. Pulpi - congrats on your PhD, you deserve to celebrate properly.

I bought a load of cheap FR pregnancy tests and have already started using them (prob only around DPO 5/6!). Obviously they have been negative Hmm

MaMaPo · 21/02/2015 03:39

Yes, congrats to pulpi! The end of a PhD is like the bloody albatross being removed from one's neck.

Spinning and purplekoala, I had a pelvic US a couple of weeks ago. It was fine and painless (just a bit uncomfortable when the dr had to push the wand around a bit). I wasn't given the instruction to have a full bladder - wonder if it mattered? She was able to tell me I'd had a previous pregnancy and C section, that the lining I'd built up was good (I had started AF a couple of hours before the scan), which ovary had most recently ovulated, that there were a decent number of follicles developing on the other ovary, that everything looked clear... Lots of info. Let me know if you have any more questions about it.

Completely agree about not putting one's life on hold while TTC. I did that with regard to an upcoming trip and finally had to concede that being pregnant was not going to interfere and I might as well travel back to the UK for that wedding. We also have another longhaul trip planned for Christmas and while my husband was thinking about stopping TTC just in case it interferes, I was pretty unhappy with that. I feel more comfortable TTC and planning stuff - everything can be cancelled if need be.

CD11 and time to get back on the horse here. I was hoping to do so last night but my husband was all negative about it so I thought - fuck it, no. I need us both to be positive and up for it!

dojo123 · 21/02/2015 06:31

Morning

Had hoped me and DH would get another DTD last night but he's done something to his back. Woke up early to see if this morning would be any better but he's still in pain. On the plus side my temp is up again this morning which I'm taking as a positive sign.

DH and I aren't necessarily putting our lives on hold while we TTC but there are some things coming up (girly night out, my birthday, DH birthday) that people would expect to see me drinking at. I used dry jan as an excuse and now I'm using lent. I'm not a heavy drinker I just enjoy a drink and therefore if I don't people automatically assume.

The other thing I am concerned about is that I run my own company and my colleague is 17 weeks pg herself. I think I'm going to either have to make my company dormant for 6 months or hope I can keep it ticking over with a newborn.

March bus for those of us who drive right on through feb without stopping!
spinningirl10 · 21/02/2015 07:00

Pulpi, do you live in Canada?

Mama, thanks for the info. Did
You go on your own? I should be about 7dpo when I go.

Purple, we're about the same time then.

Amyyy27 · 21/02/2015 07:12

Morning everyone. Had a big temp drop after my first positive opk yesterday... i wasnt sure if this was normal so had a look at other peoples and although temp drop normal... my temp range is very low (i think) i would say an average of about 35.8 and the lowest.. this morning.. 35.22 . And thats taken at the same time as normal and undisturbed sleep. Should i be worried?

DizzyNorthernBird · 21/02/2015 07:38

Morning all, up early today for a run. I really need to clear my head.

Have had a stressful last couple of days with DP as we're still thinking of buying a house, now sooner rather than later. Without going into details we spoke with an agent yesterday who was honest with us, and although we are in a good position to sell and buy, certain options that Dp and I were considering are completely ruled out.

Further to that I still haven't seen a temp rise since my 'possible' positive opk on weds....wouldn't be surprised if I haven't ov'd with all the excitement/stress this last few days Sad.

I'm also very annoyed at DP as he's been too tired for dtd the last two days so I reckon I'm not in with much chance of a bfp this cycle, grrr. He starts the cycle with so much enthusiasm but he always burns out after only dtd twice!

amyy I've been looking at a load of charts this morning comparing mine against charts with slow rises. From what I've seen some people do get a dip on ov day, so I wouldn't worry. Admittedly it's my first month of temping though so someone else might tell you different.

dojo running your own company must be so busy, but if you're the boss can you not bring baby to work? Smile

I'm not putting life on hold too much, but admittedly I skipped signing up for a spring half marathon as I assumed I'd be upduffed. Pretty annoyed now that I'll be missing out for nothing!!

Sorry for long whinging post! Fx this run clears my head! Smile

loopylou1984 · 21/02/2015 07:45

Just marking my place again as fell off the bus. Will catch up properly soon, Xx

MaMaPo · 21/02/2015 07:47

Spinning, yes I went alone. In and out without about fifteen minutes. But surrounded by happy pregnant women, argh! Good luck for yours. The doctor said it was better to go on cd1 than cd24 or so, so cd7 should be fine.

dojo123 · 21/02/2015 07:52

Dizzy yes I could bring baby into the office but sometimes I have to visit building sites (wondering if the do baby hard hats and high-vis jackets Hmm) or have long client meetings which I don't think will be baby friendly. I know I'm going to be restricted in what I can do from 6/7months, hoping I'll have completed site work on a couple of jobs by then but that's if I get of this month. I'm an Interior Designer if anyone was wondering Smile
