March bus for those of us who drive right on through feb without stopping!

shinysparklythings · 28/01/2015 07:26

Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Shinysparklythings 29, ttc#1, cycle 2, bfp due 1st march.

Amyyy27 · 21/02/2015 08:09

Thanks Dizzy its all so confusing! Had O pains on left hand side this morning and due to go swimming with a friend at 9... now im worrying about ruining my chances by going which is just silly and unnecessary stress i bloody hope I can always jump OH when I get back right? Haha Blush

chasingtherainbow · 21/02/2015 08:54

Re scans.. you need a full bladder for a "normal scan" but if they can't see what they need to and do transvag scan you'll need to empty your bladder.

According to the sonographer who found my tiny eptopic my right over is "tucked right up and round" and it was extremely painful. However, I'd only miscarried 3 weeks before and was still very sore, and of course then had an eptopic too which are painful in themselves. She had me crawling up the bed and in the end I had to beg her to stop. I've had a few other transvaginal scans before as they've never been like that. Uncomfortable when she prod about a bit but usually over fairly quick.

That sounds soo interesting that she was able to tell you all of that. I had one done to check pcos last year and she barely spoke to me and I'd hoped she'd talk me through that stuff but she flat out refused when I asked! cow

chasingtherainbow · 21/02/2015 09:00

So I used my last opk and it was negative. Cd13. I had a positive cd13 and 14 last cycle so now feeling really stressed especially with that weird positive on Cd9 ..We didn't dtd then so if that was true then we are out of this cycle already.

My app is telling me I'm going to ov on Monday which is cd15- this is not good! DH has to work late Monday so chances of catching an egg if it releases then are small. I want to jump dh tonight and tomorrow night but worried ill burn him out and he won't manage it Sunday night.

I'm keeping very calm on the outside but I'm feeling mega stressed and need some advice. Do I run out and buy yet more costly opks?

juneybean · 21/02/2015 09:03

I'd definitely do Sunday night you want sperm there before ovulation not afterwards.

pulpi · 21/02/2015 09:15

I used to live in Canada, spinning but we immigrated here a few years ago.

chasingtherainbow · 21/02/2015 09:20

Juneybean that's my thoughts. I want them waiting for the egg. I'm going to have to get more opks... anyone else wish they were able to self impregnate. DH is a trooper and so ready for no2, but life and work is busy and dtd can be tricky. I contain all my stress in order to not pressure him but I guess it feels like a game of relay. I need dh to make the finish line and then I need my body to catch the egg and implant and make it to the finish line.

nightandthelight · 21/02/2015 09:58

AF has arrived and is in full flow so today is CD1 of the cycle I actually get to start trying! I don't care what horrible disease I come down with I am going ahead!

Didn't have cramps with the coil and had forgotten how painful they are. Lots of painkillers for me I think!

Ovia thinks my lp is 11 days, is that ok?

MrsGingerbread · 21/02/2015 10:29

Crazy woman alert.

Is there any chance that eating sweet potato could have caused my 'peak' smiley opk at the ridiculously early cd8? No ewcm yet and no other signs.

I got some hearing they were good for ttc, in particularly the second phase.

Surely not? Any ideas?

chasingtherainbow · 21/02/2015 10:37

I'm pretty sure not. . But I am also crazy and I wondered if the Indian I ate gave me that positive on Cd9 Grin

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 21/02/2015 10:48

amy I think your temps sound ok, quite often get a dip on Ov day, although, just when I think I have it all worked out they do something weird - like this month when they didn't drop at all until third day of AF.
Thanks mamapo and chasing for the info on the scan.
I don't think I have any issues, just think we've miss timed the last few cycles and of course age.
night my LP is mostly 11 days doc didn't think it was a problem. I have been trying eat stuff that has vit B6 in as that's meant to help with the Lp.

gennibugs · 21/02/2015 10:53

Morning all

I too have had those scans so happy to answer any questions. I went on my own. Honestly not painful. Just a little uncomfortable. I actually had mine on cd 4 so still had a bit of AF knocking around but my clinic wanted me to do it as early in my cycle as possible.

spinning -is this a permanent move abroad? How exciting!!! I had no idea. Wow Grin

Sorry to those who have had AF arrive.

mrsg love that theory - think I'd out the positive down to a freak.

amyy enjoy swimming. My temps are all over the place this month, but it's my WTf cycle so I'm trying to stay calm.

chasing I would buy more opks but I can never resist an opportunity to poas. Otherwise just DtD a much as you can.

dizzy I am signed up for a few races this year. When I got my BFP I was going to cancel but forgot, now I'm glad I didn't. I've missed out of a half marathon In October which I usually do, which I'm disappointed about!

well done pulpi what an achievement!

sammy hello - how are you getting on?

Amyyy27 · 21/02/2015 10:57

Thanks purple . Negative opk today but painful stabbing on my left side and a dull ache so im sure im ovulating... is it normal for a negative opk though? Its my first month of using them sorry!

Amyyy27 · 21/02/2015 11:00

Thanks genni it was good to just relax and enjoy my swim although my O pains got too much and we had to come out after half an hour :( ive come home and OH is full of flu!! Ive kindly warned him hes not getting away with no dtd today poor bugger lol

nightandthelight · 21/02/2015 11:12

Thanks purple my conception bit has B6 in but is that not enough? Ooh and bfp due 20/03!

Purplecuddlykoala14 · 21/02/2015 11:25

amy I think you normally get a +ve opk 24-36 hours before ov, so sounds like you are ov today. I don't really feel anything.
night it's up to you if you want to try a bit extra b6, I've only been taking folic acid up till now. I have added evening primrose this month as I don't get much CM.

MaMaPo · 21/02/2015 11:34

My husband was just downstairs baking some bread (we're going on a picnic tomorrow) and he came up to the bedroom and said "Right, that's one bun in the oven, time for the next one." Grin

Amyyy27 · 21/02/2015 11:34

Ah ok thanks purple :)

Amyyy27 · 21/02/2015 11:37

Haha MaMaPo i love that!

gennibugs · 21/02/2015 12:15

mamapo haha Grin

nightandthelight · 21/02/2015 12:17

Thanks purple think I will just keep up the conception vit for the first 2-3 months and if nothing happens then will start being a bit more scientific :) just so happy to finally be on a cycle where there is a chance of a bfp!

chasingtherainbow · 21/02/2015 12:25

mamapo that made me smile. Plus I love fresh bread.

So I've ran out and gotten more opks. . Just done another and it's negative. There's hardly any 2nd line either. I'm feeling some things down there buy it's mild and hardly any cm to indicate anything.

I swapped from pregnecare to seven seas about 4 days ago. Could this be screwing stuff up for me?

I am starting to majorly freak out about that bizarre pos opk on Cd9. But it was positive with first fmu. . But 2 mu 2 hrs later was negative so surly not?

spinningirl10 · 21/02/2015 12:25

Quick catch up in tea breakSmile

MrsG, I eat loads of sweet potato. I don't think it causes a positive opk but it did make me laughGrin

Back laterSmile

Rainy34 · 21/02/2015 12:50

Hi everyone , I have not been on here for a while, I have been so busy at work , so no time for being on here , today is my last day of high reading on cbfm, dtd on first day of peak and hoping we can do it later, had ewcm yesterday and been twingy on either side , so not sure which side il am ovulating from, got a bit worried on first peak day as there was no ewcm and usually there is but all is good, hope everyone is good x x

AbFab86 · 21/02/2015 12:54

Am I too late to jump on this bus? Grin

I'm new here but I think I'm getting the hang of all the abbreviations. Pretty sure that's a skill that needs to go on my cv. I'm 28 and about to start TTC with my DH of 7 months (honeymoon period is over, let's get down to the serious stuff!). I have had PCOS since I was 16 and have been on metformin since then. I came off the pill early December and haven't had a sign of AF since Hmm I have never had a regular cycle ever (apart from when on the pill). We are going to start TTC in March to see what happens, but we have an appointment with the obs & gynae lady in a couple of weeks to see what they can do if I'm not actually ovulating. For now though, I'm just wishing AF would show up so I know at least something is going on.

Anyway, stats (if I'm not too late!)
