Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

I've still not ventured up my vag to my cervix! Although when I went to get a smear test a few months back the nurse said what a lovely one I had! Hmm freak

loopylou1984 · 17/02/2015 17:14

Baby bump - if you run out is just get some cheap opks... You know you've had the high reading so dong need the post ones anymore! That way you can test several times a day and not miss the surge?

Heir - so far grapefruit juice is still vile... I'm determined to persevere though!

Dizzy - well done! I can't work out what I'm feeling!

Victoria - that made me spot out my tea! What a thing for her to say, that nurse sounds crazy! Bet you were out of there ASAP! Xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 17/02/2015 17:18

Ooh Victoria did she say what makes a nice cervix? Last few times I've had a smear the nurse has struggled to find mine! Lol.

Basically I realised today that when I've been checking I must have been tensing up, making it hard to reach. Because today I relaxed and everything suddenly appeared!

I've been keeping an eye on what mine is doing after my confusion over the weekend with my cm. It's one more thing to monitor to help to figure out whether you're fertile or not!

DizzyNorthernBird · 17/02/2015 17:27

Thanks sammy, it's basically the smooth bump at the top..... Feels different to the vaginal walls which are bumpy/ridged feeling. If you go as far as you can reach and don't feel anything, try doing what I did today which was to relax your pelvic floor muscles, I kind of 'pushed down' with mine today if that makes sense, and all of a sudden everything moved within each and I could feel that it was soft and open too Smile which is a good sign!

I habitually tense up my tummy muscles and pelvic floor most of the time after doing years of pilates. I had no idea this also would make the cervix pull do far up.... Here was me thinking I had a long vag or something!!! Grin

juneybean · 17/02/2015 17:30

Mine is coming down so I'm hoping that is indicative that I've ovulated....

victoria401 · 17/02/2015 17:38

I was just lying there and didn't know what to say! I eventually decided on "er, thanks!"

I have been told I have a nice cervix before too Victoria, I assumed it meant healthy!

gennibugs · 17/02/2015 19:12

Evening all.

I've been without Internet for a few days so just spent some time catching up on the thread with a Brew. Lots of hilarious chat to keep me occupied - the Kebab had me in stitches.

Really boring here, I have no idea whether to expect to ovulate or when to expect AF. I've started using opks and temping just to get back into the routine, but no idea if post MC these would even be accurate. Back to work on Monday which aim slightly dreading already Blush

I am taking a night off my healthy eating to settle down in front of Eastenders with a big bar of chocolate in honour of the live shows and anniversary week. Rock and roll eh Grin

tessiegirl · 17/02/2015 19:34

Just stuffed myself full of pancakes...diet came to a bad end today, but it had to be done!!

CD8 here...

Victoria I was once told by a nurse that my cervix was small and she asked if I had ever had a baby, but she asked the question in a way that I felt I had to question whether I had actually had one! When I said no, she said that 'explained it'! Hmm I assumed she was talking about the size of the opening! Confused

I really want to have a go locating my cervix but it makes me a bit squeamish and I have normally got a very strong stomach for things like that! I have enough trouble locating a soft cup!

loopylou1984 · 17/02/2015 20:46

Haha Victoria... I would probably have done the same!

So. Full. Of. Pancakes! Xx

dojo123 · 17/02/2015 22:19

Evening ladies

catching up with the cervix talk... When I had my last smear, the nurse commented that I had a good one as it was very easy to see, popped into view. Hmm I didn't know what to say to that.

Back from our long weekend away. Unloaded the car, dumped the bags in the hall and ran upstairs to the bedroom to DTD. Grin
Lots of CM today so hoping that's a good sign and we haven't missed our window by not being able to DTD Sunday and Monday.

Sparkly123 · 18/02/2015 00:26

Hi everyone. I'm creeping over from feb bus as my AF arrived. So my next BFP !!!! Will be due in March so I'm thinking I should be here?! Although Will be straddling both buses as I'm due to start AI in Feb!

Here's my stats:
Sparkly123, age 30, TTC #1 , cycle 6, BFP due 15th March

CookieDough9 · 18/02/2015 00:45

Sorry to see you here sparkly. I hopped on as AF arrived on Friday. Good luck with the AI

MrsGingerbread · 18/02/2015 05:38

So sorry to see some new faces joining us, but lovely to have you obviously!

Dojo good effort! :)

Cd 6 here - the boring bit. I start opks tomorrow. From then on I'm happy as I feel like I am doing something productive. :)

I hope everyone had a lovely pancake day. Anyone giving up anything for Lent? I'm already trying to eat healthier to lose some weight, don't drink much and most caffeine went months ago. I've realised that ttc has made me live in Lent!

nightandthelight · 18/02/2015 06:52

I'm using Lent as a bit of a health kick Mrs, no chocolate, sweets, fizzy drinks or takeaways!

woodpigeon123 · 18/02/2015 06:58

Hello lovely Sparkly,

Looks like we're at a very similar point in our journey in terms of cycles and TTC #1.... Fingers crossed for us!

Big hugs x

ozmund · 18/02/2015 07:16

Morning everyone Smile
I've tried to reach my cervix but my fingers aren't long enough! Confused
CD14 and been using CB digi dual for the first time....went straight from a couple of days of low to peak yesterday so I'm hoping that means my bits are working okay.

Cariad2014 · 18/02/2015 08:03

Morning all. Sorry to all those who've joined us from the February bus.

CD6 at this end and my CBFM gave me a "high" this morning Confused I am hoping that it's just got over excited early and that ov is still a way off, particularly as DH and I are so busy over the next few days that we're simply not going to have time to dtd. Sad

Hating ttc so much right now.

Night - liking the idea of giving up chocolate and fizzy drinks - I shall join you.

Genni - sorry you're dreading your return to work. Do take more time if you need it, particularly as (in my experience at least) everyone will be sympathetic for the first week and will then promptly forget so your workload will return to what it was quite quickly.

chasingtherainbow · 18/02/2015 08:34

I've woken up in a really grumpy mood. I has a pos opk yesterday morning. .Cd9. New it was wrong and tested an hr later with a neg. Today is neg also (as it should be this early on) but the false pos has made me feel like it'd unreliable. DH didn't get home till v late so we didn't dtd.. even though I know it's early I feel like eod covers us and gives us a proper chance. I started off utterly convinced this was my month and now I just feel really down.. I never usually stress about it like this but I guess 19 months of trying and waiting has officially taken its toll.

nightandthelight · 18/02/2015 08:55

Sorry to hear that chasing Flowers you should be pretty well covered with eod :)

Sweets27 · 18/02/2015 09:43

Morning all! Welcome sparkly and you other newcomers - the March bus is a nice one Smile

After two flashing smileys on my CB OPKs, this morning (CD13) the OPK didn't work - no idea why, but nothing at all came up. So frustrating! Anyone else had that problem? The stick icon didn't even start flashing, which it normally does to show that the test is working. Knew I should have used ICs that don't break...

Amyyy27 · 18/02/2015 09:54

Morning everyone Smile

Chasing Sorry to hear your feeling down today but remember this is our month! It has to be anyway we pinky promised Grin

FF skipped out yesterdays high reading and put me back on track for O on Friday, however don't feel like my cm is fertile enough ... I think I would normally be a lot closer to ewcm at this point than what I am so that's worrying me! I had felt so in control this month and now I'm unsure.. grr! Will just have to keep dtd every day until I'm sure O has been and gone Hmm

tessiegirl · 18/02/2015 09:55

Morning everyone!

Welcome sparkly and cookie

Best of luck dojo!

Cariad here's hoping ov is still a way off for you - I once had 8 days of 'high' so fx crossed this will be same for you and ov will fit in with when you and your DH have more time!

CD9 here...I got a 'Low' this morning...

chasingtherainbow · 18/02/2015 11:02

Oh good lord I've just read my post back. Please don't exile me! Clearly I meant had and knew! and the rest

Ah yes Amyy we did pinky promise! I'm off out to get some fresh air, fresh food and find my mojo.
