Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Shinysparklythings 29, ttc#1, cycle 2, bfp due 1st march.

Morning all

Sorry to those of you that have joined from Feb.

chasing sorry you feel down - ttc is just a roller coaster of emotions. Hopefully you can DtD tonight to make up for it?

cariad I hate ttc too. When I used the fancy cb opks I too once had 8 or 9 days of flashing so try not to worry. You know your body and when you normally ovulate so focus on those timings for now perhaps. Thank you for your words of support re going back to work. I'm going to go back on Monday I think. It's hard because I hated my job even before the MC and dread going in most days so part of my feeling is tied up with that too I think. I'm partly convinced my job is the reason I didn't get a BFP for so long, then the time I had a month off and was happy and relaxed - bam I got one! If I really can't cope the doctor said she will sign me off again or suggest that they look at my hours and workload etc.

Sparkly123 · 18/02/2015 11:08

Morning all. CD 2... Yawn!

Sweets re CB smiles.. Have you been using the actual test holder for more than one or two cycles?? Apparently they only last a short time. Mine did the same!

chasing sorry you are feeling so down. Eod is hard going but i understand why you want to do it. Keep going with OPKs. Cd 9 would be really early let's hope it was a dud. Also remember - I've seen so many charts where ladies get preggers from literally one or two times around OV rather than going at it hammer and tong.. So try to stay positive. I know after such a long time it must be so hard. Sending Flowers

Sparkly123 · 18/02/2015 11:09

wood hi lovely! That's it then cycle buddy we are off to BFP land this month! Wink

nightandthelight · 18/02/2015 11:22

I hate my job :(

nightandthelight · 18/02/2015 11:38

Sorry feeling miserable :(

Southy84 · 18/02/2015 11:41

Wonder if someone can help, I started using CB OPK this month on CD11 (now CD15), my cycle changes each month and normally is between 28 and 31 days (although last month it was 36), so far I've not had a smiley face, do you think this is normal? I'm starting to panic a bit but wondering if it too early for a smiley- anyone else had this?

CookieDough9 · 18/02/2015 12:08

Afternoon all.
Don't apologise night. It's awful when we hate our jobs and I remember that feeling too well. Thankfully I now really like my job. Hope things improve for you.
Southy I'm no expert with opk's and I'm sure one of the helpful ladies will be along to answer your question. It could be that you ovulate later on in your cycle so I would say keep testing.
CD6 here and will start using opk's from tomorrow as I am so paranoid about missing my surge. Was supposed to start temping today and put the thermometer under my pillow. Duly woke up at 7am and no thermometer. Threw the pillows and then got stuck in the duvet looking for it but no, not there. Thought sod it and went back to sleep for up an hour later and found it in the wardrobe. DH had found it under my pillow and thought I was using it for DD so moved it. I'm really not cut out for all this!

CookieDough9 · 18/02/2015 12:09

*got up an hour later not for

nightandthelight · 18/02/2015 12:12

Thanks Cookie problem is I am the main breadwinner and can't afford to quit when we are about to start TTC! Am therefore very stuck which I hate :( can't wait for maternity leave (optimistic thinking)! Glad to hear you have found the right job for you :)

CookieDough9 · 18/02/2015 12:21

I was exactly the same situation about 5 years ago night and couldn't wait to get pregnant and go on mat leave. We were ttc and I couldn't afford to quit so had to stick it out. Changed jobs just before I conceived DD.
Here's hoping for a quick bpf for you Flowers

CookieDough9 · 18/02/2015 12:21

I can't type today, *bfp

Sweets27 · 18/02/2015 12:25

Thanks sparkly re the CB OPKs. This is the second cycle I've used the test holder, so maybe that's the problem? Argh, surely they should last longer than 1 cycle. They're so expensive!

chasing, Cake for you. Sorry it's getting you down at the moment. Fresh air and a little break sounds like a good plan - it usually works for me. I'm finding TTC a little all-consuming sometimes, it's so easy to get fixated on it and forget to enjoy the rest of your life. And that's coming from someone who is only on cycle 2! Blush I have the utmost respect for all the ladies here who are cheerfully carrying on, months and months, or even years, into their TTC journey. Flowers for all of you!

nightandthelight · 18/02/2015 12:30

Thanks Cookie will keep my fx :) hopefully it will be bfps all round for us this month!

victoria401 · 18/02/2015 12:38

I'd hardly call it cheerfully carrying on. I so want to throw in the towel right now. Sad

As for work... I used to love my job. But lately there has been so much 'change', with more to come. Big change, like mergers and moving buildings! Two places and two lots of staff coming together to do the same job, nightmare! I'm hoping that when things are settled in one big new happy family I will start to like it again.

gennibugs · 18/02/2015 13:19

night I hate my job too. So you are not alone Thanks

nightandthelight · 18/02/2015 13:21

Thanks genni Although I am sorry that you also hate your job :(

gennibugs · 18/02/2015 13:22

southy I think if you are having another 30+day cycle then you should probably see a smiley in the next few days. I'm basing that on a very rough calculation of assuming you have a LP of 14 days. Though not everyone does. Have you had any other ovulation signs like EWCM or cramps etc? Do you know when you normally ovulate?

chasingtherainbow · 18/02/2015 14:06

Southy I use those too. If you are having a slightly longer cycle this month then I think you'll get a solid smiley in a day or so. What time of day are you using them and what do the lines look like on the stick when you remove it? Sometimes you can see the 2nd line darkening even though it's still a blank face, then all of a sudden it's a positive x

BabyBumpHopeful · 18/02/2015 14:07

CD20 (Wed) of a 34 day cycle. Day 7 of flashing smiley. FF predicted 3 days I should OV and tomorrow is the last so... we shall see (have to get more test sticks).

Southy84 if you're having a long cycle you're probably not due to OV for a couple more days.

As for the stick not working for someone above, could be above faulty stick, especially if the little picture didn't start flashing. Did you try with above new stick? Was the screen totally blank?

DizzyNorthernBird · 18/02/2015 16:35

Ladies, (I'm hoping my pic uploads from my phone), does this look like a positive to you? I hate it when you get the ambiguous line which has a dark pink fading into faint pink band! Grr.

I'm shagging today regardless but need to know what to put the result as into ff....

March bus for those of us who drive right on through feb without stopping!
DizzyNorthernBird · 18/02/2015 16:38

Oh it actually looks darker in the photo! Ok, will go with a positive then.

Hope everyone is ok, sorry to see some of you are struggling today. Flowers

shinysparklythings · 18/02/2015 16:47

Sorry that so many of you hate your jobs :( fx for bfp's and maternity.

I have no idea when it comes to opks but that looks dark dizzy.

I have spent the last two days putting a pebble river into the garden and making new cushion covers to try and get my two sofas to match a bit more! So having a productive half term really need to start marking tomorrow

I'm 4/5 dpo so boring here, not got any symptoms although it's too early to see any yet. Few cramps down below but I think that's because I'm thinking about it rather than because the are actually there.

DizzyNorthernBird · 18/02/2015 16:51

southy if it helps, my cycles are on average 35 days long but also fluctuate. I'm on cd18 as as you see above it looks like a positive for me today.

BabyBumpHopeful · 18/02/2015 17:04

Dizzy I wouldn't say that's positive, but I would say you're close to a surge (either before or after, depending how often you check) so I'd definitely DTD today and keep testing to see if it becomes darker.

Some people don't get super dark OPK's (all depends on urine concentration and that ladies personal hormone levels) but some do. I've had it darker than the control line so I know for me your result wouldn't be positive but I'd be surging and expect a positive soon!

chasingtherainbow · 18/02/2015 17:19

If that's not positive it will be in the 12/24 hrs I reckon dizzy. Dtd as much as poss over next 3 days or so and you'll have a good chance of catching I reckon.

DH just called to say he's stuck at work and it could be a late on. I don't tell him when I'm ovulating or in a fertile period because he gets stage fright. But I feel like shouting "ffs, just get home and impregnate me"

All I'm asking for is eod sex for like 8 days. That's like 4-5 well timed shags. Gah!

I've officially lost it haven't I. Must contain the crazy.
