Morning ladies,

nomio so sorry you've had a bad time! It's exhausting and every month when the af witch arrives you feel totally deflated, chin up hunni

scienceteachergeek sorry you had a very bad experience with your HCG (people told me "it only hurts a little" but I was like you it really hurt me ) fingers crossed for the rest of your journey.

heather they advise you take some pain relief before, but as people had said it wouldn't really hurt I didn't bother, I advise you do just in case. But you might be like bonvydazzler and have a better experience. You might be on to something there, I havnt had children yet either so that might have something to do with it being really unpleasant.

bonvydazzler sorry about your bfn, what cycle of Clomid are you on?

Ok ladies so I thought it would be a good idea to share what tricks we are all currently using to aid us in our journey Then I will be able to ask real women in similar situations about them rather than google so I'm using:
Clomid (cd2-6)
Clearblue advanced fertility monitor
His and hers conception vitamins
Soft cups
Pre seed

Heather24 · 25/01/2015 21:50

Eeeek I'm 8dpo tomorrow and battling with my head to try and resist buying some tests tomorrow!!! I had a BFP with my first 2 babies at 10dpo so it's a possibility! Or do I need to restrain myself lol
Miss monkey were doing:
Pre conception vitamins
Clomid 2-6
Clear blue digital opk

Ive got the Clearblue fertility monitor ready for next month and my hsg if I'm not lucky this month xx

Heather24 · 25/01/2015 22:41

Ps... What are soft cups? Xx

scienceteachergeek · 25/01/2015 23:51

Good luck Heather. I had to google 'soft cups' myself. It's a little plastic cup you put up there to catch your period, it means you don't need towels or tampons.

I think I might have to get one of these fertility monitors Smile

Heather24 · 26/01/2015 03:54

Oh lol
I thought it was something to aid conception!!
I have/use a moon cup which is the same thing just obv called something different!
Thanks though x

Bovnydazzler · 26/01/2015 12:45

heather looks like your night sleep was as bad as mine (coughing toddler in my case!) from your posting time.

Although soft cups are used for periods, people have had success with them also using them as a conception aid, either popping them in after sex to keep sperm in, or if issues in the DTD department, man puts sperm straight in the soft cup. I've not tried it myself though.

I'm going all out for this cycle (it will be my third on clomid) on the healthy eating. I've got b complex and b12 vitamins, coenzyme q10 and EPO. I think the EPO will be the important one for me due to lack of EWCM, the other two in taking for good measure in just small doses. Also seven seas conception. I'm not a little less confident I'm going to get preggers in the imminent future now I'm 2 cycles down, going to try and chill out mentally a bit this cycle!

Bovnydazzler · 26/01/2015 12:45

Not = now...

Heather24 · 26/01/2015 13:27

Yes story of my life! I'm on a night shift too tonight, could just cry at the thought of it. I just feel so lethargic and tired. Hope it's a good sign. I held off testing purely because I've not got the energy to get dressed and go out to buy any lol
Fingers crossed this will be your month, it's so hard to try and mentally chill out coz your head just automatically goes into overdrive.
I think Google is my best friend at the moment which isn't good.

Keep me posted! What cd are you on? X

MissMonkey · 26/01/2015 20:32

Ooh that's exciting heather Hopefully you not be needing to use the monitor.
I have quite a hectic job and always on the go and find gravity takes it toll if you know what I mean so I convince myself iv lost the swimmers. My monitor asks me to poas between 6am - 11am so I have to do it first thing in a morning when I get up on days I go to work, then i will dtd in the morning if I get a peak and use the soft cups to keep the swimmers in through the day, I then stand on my head every few hours - my friends think it's a crazy idea but I like to think it's better keeping it in than loosing it. They are just like moon cups but sit closer to your cervix.

What is coenzyme q10 and what does it do? bonvydazzler

Nomio230 · 27/01/2015 16:08

Hi all,

Bovny I am so sorry, I just realised I havre been typing your name wrongly all these weeks! For some reason I changed you to bovyn. Blush

Fx for you heather. It would be great if we had a sticky bean in our little group. Smile

I am going all out this month. I will finally get my bfp.
I have Conceive+. (As others have mentioned, Clomid seems to dry up your ewcm)Softcups, Special ttc/pregnancy vitamins with folic acid, Clomid (round 4, days 2-6) & ordered some co-enzyme Q10 & Maca root.

I will be rattling all month, but hopefully it will be worth it. Also going to ty the smep plan, although not going to msake dh aware of this, as he thinks I am already completely obsessed! (spermmeetseggplan.com/)

Mylittlesandme5 · 27/01/2015 18:59

Hi girls,

I got my BFP this morning!!

I think I am in shock, it has caught me completely off guard (after 4 bfn CDs 7,9,11,12). I only tested this morning because my period was due yesterday and I thought that a bfn today would give me a definite answer.....and there it was.

My husbands reaction was crappy and awful, but that's a story for another day.

Oh wow massive congratulations mylittlesandme, I'm so pleased for you.

Hope your husbands response hasn't uoset you too much, we're all here for you if you need to vent!!

I'm 10dpo tomorrow so doing my first test In the morning. I had the results from my day 21 progesterone bloods back today and it was 37 so def confirmed I've ovulated.

How's everyone else doing? X

Heather24 · 28/01/2015 07:42

BFN this morning ladies :( 10dpo using a first response test.
Think I'm out this month ?? x

MissMonkey · 28/01/2015 19:16

Wow that's amazing mylittle a massive congratulations!! Before I saw this thread I read an older Clomid thread and there was a small group of women supporting each other ( just like us) and I found my self hoping for the ladies even though the thread was a year ago. As I got about half way through the thread one of the women got a bfp and then within a month the majority of the rest of the group got their bfp too. So hopefully your our lucky starter and we will all follow shortly.

Oh heather really sorry hunni, what cycle of Clomid you on?

nomio I love the positive thinking 'i will get my bfp' I'm gonna take a leaf from your book and think positive this month

I went to see my consultant today and she said there has been new research done and it is more important to dtd 4 days before you ovulate Than on the day. Apparently dtd on the day has a lot less chances of working... This has massively confused me as I normaly go dtd mad for my 2 peak days. Oh well I'll give that a shot this month.

MissMonkey · 28/01/2015 19:50

But from looking at mylittles dtd days that would fit with what my consultant said as if memory serves me right you didn't dtd on the day you ovulated did you?

Squeakyheart · 30/01/2015 12:38

Congrats mylittle !

Sorry about BFN heather

I was a couple of days late with AF this month do hopes were up even though I hadn't started clomid yet, why do we do this to ourselves? So was feeling really crap again but at least I am on with the clomid.

On days 2 & 3 I had a horrendous headache which I don't remember having last time, but gone now thank god!

Hope everyone else is keeping their chins up and as you can see have decided not to worry about birthdays and just go for it!

MissMonkey · 31/01/2015 20:18

Evening ladies, so I'm 1 dpo.... I hate this waiting part as I'm such an impatient person lol.

I get really bad headaches too squeaky but mine are usually about cd 10 and usually last 2 days. I also get really bad ovulation pains (which I've never experienced before) but that has to be positive as it means Clomid is working.

Heather24 · 01/02/2015 10:22

Just posted on here but don't think my message went :(

I tested this morning at 12dpo using a first response and I'm sure I can see the faintest of pink lines in certain lights. Also on fri night 10dpo I had a few brown specks of blood on wiping...implantation?
I think i implant late and my hcg is slow to build up.
Am I imagining it ??
What do you all think? Xx

Heather24 · 01/02/2015 10:23

Missmonkey I'm on 1st round of clomid x

MissMonkey · 01/02/2015 11:12

If you can see a line I would assume that no matter how faint the line, it's still a positive line... Perhaps to be certain you could try a clear blue digital and that will tell you rather than having to torture yourself guessing the lines.

I think it all sounds very positive heather keep us posted. I think hearing people's positive stories using Clomid makes me have more faith in the drug :-)

Heather24 · 01/02/2015 11:46

Thanks missmonkey I've heard nothing but positive stories re: clomid, so hope it works well for us.

I will test again in the morning with a first response as I do t think my hcg is enough for a cb digital to pick up with the line being so faint. I'm still not sure whether I'm imagining it. Do other ppl seriously go around holding the test up to the light and against the window or against the screen of their phone hahah.... I'm going loopy! Xx

Squeakyheart · 06/02/2015 21:07

Hi heather any news? Everyone seems to have disappeared!

I have just had a panic as in the run up to DDs birthday I forgot what was day one so I could track for dtd and 21 day blood test but think I have it sorted. Unfortunately I have missed the four days before window but will try to make up for it tonight, after the rugby obviously!

Hope everyone is ok !

Heather24 · 06/02/2015 23:04

Hi squeakyheart

Ive been wondering where everyone had disappeared too, I've really needed you all this last week :(

Well following on from my very faint lines at the beginning of the week, I started reading on tues night exactly 14 days afteri think I ovulated, anyway, compared to last month when I miscarried this period seemed very light and prior to bleeding I felt sure I was pregnant. Anyway, did a Clearblue digital this morning and came up positive 1-2
I feel like this is just a repeat of last month. I called my fertility clinic and had hcg bloods done this morning which have come back at 66 and having it done again on Sunday so should know for def then.

My body is playing cruel cruel tricks on me :(
How is everyone else doing? Xx

Squeakyheart · 09/02/2015 21:15

Hi heather sorry you are having such a crap time I hope you have support with it all and that Sunday's results were good.

I am just 1dpo but have had no symptoms so blood test next Monday for prog levels and if I did ovulate it would be another week and a half till POAS day! That seems like forever away but hope it is quick.

We seem to have misplaced everyone!

MissMonkey · 09/02/2015 21:35

Evening ladies,

So I'm in the lovely 2ww but - tmi alert - iv been pre occupied with terrible thrush. I havnt had it for years but last week was awful and I read on Google that quite a lot of women taking Clomid get it EVERY cycle..... I do hope not. So I'm on 10dpo, I don't even want to test this month as I'm sick of being disappointed.

I went to my mums yesterday and my brother had took his girlfriend to the hospital and when I asked why my dad said because "she's bleeding" so my response was "is she pregnant???" And my dad said he didn't know. I just cried and couldn't help it, I thought I was more relaxed this month and less obsessed but obviously not.

Sorry your having a hard time heather I hope everything is ok and you get positive results. Stay positive and try to relax, sending you lots of hugs.

How is everyone else doing? X
