Still here, still struggling on, still hoping to get there in the end. Come on ladies, we'll all get our BFPs in 2015 (if not before)!

I've heard of lots of folk not getting bfp on clear blue for ages. That said I totally get why you aren't getting optimistic. I'm not officially out but I feel out this month. I am keeping everything crossed for you. Even my legs at this point in the month.

Really think someone will get a bfp this month.

Hope you are not too stressed or down heart.

Prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

Xx

NewEraNewMindset · 20/12/2014 20:54

I'm sitting here having a glass of wine because I am not pregnant Grin. If Clearblue says it ain't so then I will believe it and carry on as normal. Pregnancy tests can go fuck themselves quite honestly.

crispiecrunchie · 20/12/2014 20:58

I can't comment had a couple of glasses myself tonight. I'm in a fuck it mood too!!!

newbie6 · 20/12/2014 23:18

Hello all

I was on the original thread and thankfully got my BFP after 6 mths. I just wanted to say I pop on now and again as so want to see you all get your BFP's as you were all so lovely when I was trying to conceive my no 2. It is such a hard journey and I agree that no one really understands what it is like. I'm 4mths pregnant now and only just beginning to believe that my wish might actually come true! The month I got my BFP as well was the one when we only DTD twice! Anyway, just wanted to say hi and wish you all lots of baby dust and hope you all get your sticky beans soon xxx

BobsyBoo · 20/12/2014 23:48

Hugs New I know it's not exactly the same but a few months ago I was really convinced I was pregnant when I started spotting at 9dpo, even a BFN didn't totally convince me I wasn't as I thought it was too early & it was only a cheap test. Then AF arrived in full force a few days later. Hopefully AF won't show up for you.

Hello Newbie good to hear from you. This is one of the hardest things I've been through & you're right no one can understand what it's like unless they've been through it. Unfortunately this cycle although we DTD 4 times we missed the vital day, but I have heard a few people say they got their BFP when they hadn't DTD as much. Thanks xxx

NewEraNewMindset · 21/12/2014 09:40

Thanks Bobsy.

Nothing to report today. Have been very good and got Dp to hide my last digi so I can't be tempted. I seem to be quite wet downstairs so I think that's quite a good sign, nothing else of any interest though so just continuing to sit on my hands and rock quietly like a mad woman

BobsyBoo · 21/12/2014 10:37

I suppose it's just a waiting game for you now.

I'm lucky in the fact that I know early on that I'm not pg, I'm only 9dpo but I've know for a couple of days that I'm not. At 7dpo I really was hoping to see some spotting as a sign of implantation like I had with DD but not a thing. My hormones raging which is exactly what I get at this point in my cycle every month. I'll more than likely start spotting today which is AF related can't even pretend its implantation anymore. Oh well on to cycle 24. I'm sure you'll have much better luck than me by the sounds of things.

iniquity · 21/12/2014 11:04

Af is due today. I can't face checking. I know I will see the greyish pre af spotting when I wipe.
I don't know whether to stay in denial and not look. What does everyone else do?

crispiecrunchie · 21/12/2014 13:06

Hey iniquity. Yeah I kind of scrunched up my eyes and take a se ons or two to look! I find clear blue the harshest test as 'not pregnant' is so stark and cutting. At least with the lines its a more gentle let down -though more steps to it - take test note no immediate line. Wander off and pretend not to think about it. Check again just in case. Decide to break open just to be sure. hold under various lights. Throw away. Take out bin and check again! Open wine!

NewEraNewMindset · 21/12/2014 13:38

PMSL crispie you have described the last 18 months of my life.

crispiecrunchie · 21/12/2014 14:55

Ha its the way I know I'm doing it but still just in my head 'casually glance at the test' the second time and pretend I didn't half expect to see the second line has suddenly appeared

Metalhead · 21/12/2014 15:16

I do exactly the same crispie! And I still keep prodding my boobs and checking cm today even tho my temp is clearly already on its way down...

NewEraNewMindset · 21/12/2014 15:19

Well I have zero symptoms. Dry as a bone, no funny boob pain, no uterus stretching pain. Nothing at all. Every now as then I relook at that test from yesterday and wonder why that line appeared. It's got some colour so I don't think it's an evap but I have read of faulty tests. It is honestly killing me and DP has hidden the digi (on my instruction) so I will just have to wait it out.

Totally torture and I'm just waiting to wipe and see blood.

beclou94 · 21/12/2014 15:38

in the same boat! wasn't even trying for number one, so she was a lovely, miracle accident! haha. however, we've been ttc number 2 since June now. I've been diagnosed with PCOS too :(

Metalhead · 21/12/2014 15:41

Can you go out and get a FRER for tomorrow morning new? That should give you a more definitive answer. For what it's worth I still think you are pregnant, it's just far too early for any symptoms.

I'm off out in a bit to see The Hobbit and then tapas after, hopefully that will distract me from pointless symptom spotting.

OP posts:
NewEraNewMindset · 21/12/2014 15:54

Oooh I really want to go and see The Hobbit but DP isn't keen. Enjoy!

I could go out and get another test tomorrow but I've promised DP I would wait for AF and I can't lie as if it's bfn I will be devastated and won't be able to pretend otherwise. It's only a few days, I've just got to wait it out.

BobsyBoo · 21/12/2014 19:17

Well right on cue that yellow-brown spot has arrived! Nice Xmas present for me but what else did I expect! Last Christmas AF turned up just before. 23 cycles down, I'm never going to get pregnant again am I Angry. Maybe it's time to face up to that. Three cycles of Soy haven't worked for me but then this last cycle we missed the vital day because OH was too tired! I'm at a loss now of what to do, I've tried so many things & they just don't work Sad

Why can't I just give up & accept its never going to happen rather than put myself through this every month! I'm crying my eyes but why when I already knew!!

New I still think your pregnant too & yes it's early for symptoms.

iniquity · 21/12/2014 19:45

Sorry AF got you bobsyboo. No need to give up now. Many women get a fertility boost before the menopause ( not saying you are menopausal!)
But there is still plenty of time. Have you tried grapefruit juice ?

BobsyBoo · 21/12/2014 20:14

I proably am menopausal though & I'd be in the minority of women who didn't get a fertility boost!

I can carry on trying & put myself through this hurt & ranging anger every month to at least be able to say later down the line that I did try! I think I know deep down I'm never going to get pregnant again if I can't get pregnant in 2 years I'm never going to get pregnant Sad

No I haven't tried grapefruit juice but I'll try it. I want another baby so much but it's just not going to happen no matter what I try.

Sorry for such a depressing post.

GingerbreadHead · 21/12/2014 20:43

Just jumping on to say eeek to NewEra! I have everything crossed for you that the tests keep on getting stronger and this is your sticky bean, I agree with the others, I do think you are pregnant Grin

I've been thinking about you all, hope you are all looking forward to Christmas and New Year, and I am so hopeful for you all that 2015 brings lots of lovely BFPs!

crispiecrunchie · 21/12/2014 22:20

Oh bobsy. It's so hard to know what to advise as I am sure you will have thought of everything before. Would your dh consider testing or not at all. Reading your posts I wonder if you'd have more luck with someone else. Perhaps you need a really frank talk after Christmas. I'm sorry I am probably saying thing I shouldn't but your love for the child you have and your desire for another comes across so strongly and you most likely have another couple of yearsto look at other options. Alo change your gp asap!!!

lovemyboy247 · 21/12/2014 22:30

Bobsy- im sorry af turned up. Dont give up entirely. Perhaps have a ttc break and enjoy non ttc sex and see what happens. my bro and sis in law took 5 years to get pregnant and then it just happened. Big Hug to you.
me and oh managed to dtd today again so is now 2ww for me. xxx

NewEraNewMindset · 22/12/2014 08:35

Oh Bobsy I am so sorry. Is it definitely AF? I don't know how any of us keep going cycle after cycle, particularly when we have less than willing partners, but somehow when we get over AF and into a new cycle some positivity appears!! The old cycle gets forgotten and it's onward and upward.

I am pretty sure that Tesco BFP was a false positive now as I found two opks in my drawer. Opk can detect pregnancy as LH has a similar chemistry, I did one test last night - negative and one this morning with FMU - negative. Plus zero symptoms. So I'm just bracing myself for AF now, she should appear in 2/3 days time. Total bullshit.

Metalhead · 22/12/2014 08:53

BFN for me too this morning. Only tested because my temp had risen quite a lot which it doesn't usually do this late in the cycle (11dpo) but I guess it was just because I had a few drinks last night and took my temp an hour later than normal.

NewEraNewMindset · 22/12/2014 09:37

So sorry Metal. I think we should all abide by the doctrine 'it ain't over till the plucked Turkey gobbles' (AF arrives basically).
