Still here, still struggling on, still hoping to get there in the end. Come on ladies, we'll all get our BFPs in 2015 (if not before)!

Hey ladies, just checking in. Got early scan tomorrow because of Jan's mc, am now 6+4 so round the same time as the mc, feeling so nervous every time I have the slightest twinge. If all goes well tomorrow, was thinking I have a bunch of clearblue op sticks if any of you would like them?

crispiecrunchie · 26/03/2015 19:23

Hello all I keep checking back to see how you all are. I had my 12 week scan this week. All fine although hot a 2.6 nuchal reading which given I'm 42 is almost guaranteed to make me high risk. So booked for harmony test on Monday. Honestly if I'm not worrying about one thing it's something else!!

Good luck Cheney hope all goes well. And good luck to all in the two week wait x

Metalhead · 27/03/2015 07:55

Good luck today chendy and for Monday crispie, hope all goes well.

Quiet on here this weekend... I'm off out tonight with my old NCT group. I'm 8dpo today but no signs of anything being different this month so I'm just going to let my hair down and drink, sod it.

Hello all, still here. Out for lunch with friends today which caused something of a diet wobble. Also drank booze, but I've not really worried about that too much thus far.

How was your scan CHendy? Good luck with yours Crispie.

I'm 7-8DPO (still not got the hang of all this) and no symptoms to note, other than the odd pelvic ache, but still putting that down to change of diet. Looks like I'm due to have a slightly longer cycle this time, which I wouldn't have known had I not been temping, so at least my hopes won't be unnecessarily raised!

kaffkooks · 29/03/2015 14:59

This thread seems to have some good vibes at the moment. I had a BFP last night. Thought I might be during the week as I was feeling a bit nauseated but I was staying with my in laws for a course so waited until I got home to do a test. Good luck to everyone waiting or having scans this week.

BurningGubbins · 29/03/2015 18:55

Congratulations Kaffkooks!

Ladies, I'm shaking - what do you think of this?! I'm 10 dpo today, should I get a FRER?

thats a line, thats a line, thats a line !!! go and get a FRER Grin CONGRATULATIONS

LittlePoot · 30/03/2015 11:40

Oh my! Metal - I've never used an IC pregnancy test so have no idea how much of a line is really a line (but that's definitely a line), or how reliable they are. You're not going to be able to do anything sensible like wait a few more days, so I'd recommend a FRER but it will only work reliably if you can wait until morning as you're so early - can you hang on?! You're not in the UK are you? If you were, I'd actually recommend a Superdrug test as I've always found them better than FR (earlier result). My sensible advice is to get a FRER and wait until morning. My more realistic advice is to get lots of FRER so when you can't resist and end up peeing on several more today, at least you have one left over for morning. How are you feeling, symptom wise? What made you test this morning? (or do you always). I always lose count so don't know how many dpo I am, but am due on Friday - think that makes me 10dpo too? And I'm peeing for Britain today so am trying to hold off buying tests to see if this carries on a few more days. Although peeing all night used to be my top pregnancy symptom, I've had it for a single 24 hour period a few months in the last couple of years with no luck, so am going to try to hold off until Thursday if I can. Am nowhere near any shops where I work and too busy to head to town so it might work.....

lovesmycake · 30/03/2015 11:47

yes little is the voice of reason sorry for getting carried away but metal if there is any justice in this world it's definitely your turn for a BFP, I will keep all my fingers and toes crossed that a)a FRER shows up a line for you this afternoon or b)you don't go loopy waiting till tomo morning to pee!

Metalhead · 30/03/2015 11:54

Thanks guys - FRERs age sitting in the bathroom waiting to be used once I've held my wee for another couple of hours...! I am in the UK little but no Superdrug nearby. I know I should wait until tomorrow morning but I don't think I can!

I have no symptoms whatsoever, just tested on a whim this morning as I'm due to hear back about that job I applied for today and thought I'd better check, even though I wasn't expecting a second line in a million years! AF is not due for me until Friday/Saturday either little so this has completely thrown me.

Bloody chuffin brilliant -so so happy for you I'm trying to think but is this everyone off the original thread with a BFP? If so what a lucky thread it has turned out to be. I hope this starts another rush of BFP's for everyone still waiting :)

LittlePoot · 30/03/2015 13:58

Amazing!!! Fantastic news lovey. I have to rush off to a meeting but was just checking in knowing you'd never be able to hold off for long....

Sending sticky wishes across the airwaves. x

BurningGubbins · 30/03/2015 17:22

Congratulations Metal! Genuinely so pleased for you.

Glad my prediction last month worked out for one of us. Looks like I'm out again, with the soy seemingly shortening my lp by about 4 days. Ho hum.

Brindler · 30/03/2015 18:07

Oh Metal that is truly fantastic news!! Massive congratulations to you!

Right I am definitely ordering some inositol for next month! It clearly was the miracle you thought it was!

Metalhead · 30/03/2015 19:22

Thanks ladies, I still don't think it's sunk in yet as I'm feeling strangely calm (apart from when I first saw that second line appear this morning and burst into tears shaking!).

Sorry to hear about your short LP burning, maybe best to give soy a miss next cycle then?

I can't be use that it was the inositol of course brindler but I had my earliest ever ov this month so definitely worth a try.

OP posts:
Brindler · 30/03/2015 19:32

I'm now of the thought that anything is worth a try! Did you take the tablet or powdered form?

I actually got a call from the hospital today to say I'm booked in for my laparoscopy on the 14th April! Bit of a shock as the consultant had told me his waiting list was 4 to 5 months and it's only been just over a week since my appt!!!

Metalhead · 30/03/2015 19:41

That's good news, and pretty speedy for an appointment on the NHS!

I took the powder, one teaspoon a day which is roughy 2,500 mg I think.

Of course I'm now kicking myself about the bottle of wine I drank during my night out on Saturday... I only ever seem to get pregnant when I've had a night out and drunk too much the week before Confused.

OP posts:
Brindler · 30/03/2015 19:53

Ha ha maybe I should give that a go too then! Honestly though metal don't beat yourself up about it - I'm sure most of us have been there!

crispiecrunchie · 30/03/2015 21:08

Yay metal. I am beyond thrilled for you! Really good lines! That's made my night, it really has. I keep checking back to see how everyone is doing. Slowly but surely we are all getting there.

chendy78 · 30/03/2015 21:21

Massive massive congratulations Metal and Kaffkooks! So delighted for you!
My scan was ok, too early for heartbeat so going back in week and a half. Fingers crossed more bfps and happy healthy babies to follow! We need a new continuation thread... xx

LittlePoot · 30/03/2015 21:22

Oh metal - definitely don't worry about the booze. It's only really a problem if you have lots and regularly, and 2 days ago your little bean probably wasn't implanted so it wouldn't have got to him/her anyway. I went to a beer festival the day before I found out about ds......he's definitely fine! I'll be checking out the inositol too. Just read that in high doses it's good for reducing anxiety, so I might give that a try as well. It almost sounds too good to be true - no side effects and nothing but good health benefits. Perfect!

Hi Crispie. Hope your harmony test comes back ok - that must be a worry for you. My first pregnancy came back with a very bad nuchal (4.5mm) and the baby did have Down syndrome. The sonographer seemed to know already that there was a problem, even before the CVS confirmed it. The scan/bloods gave us 1:4 odds. Your nuchal measurement though sounds fine to me, and I think the scan is meant to be more of a pointer than the bloods. Fingers crossed anyway. x

Just thought I'd pop onto the thread to see how everyone is doing and see huge congratulations are in order for Metal and Kaffkooks!
