Still here, still struggling on, still hoping to get there in the end. Come on ladies, we'll all get our BFPs in 2015 (if not before)!

Congratulations Tweej and CHendy!!

Hoping your good luck rubs off on some of us this month.

Currently cd9 here and preparing to start the whole bding again. Currently have a big nasty cold sore on my lip so feeling very un-sexy!

I'm considering the Coq 10 too Metal, keep us updated how you get on. I've dropped the pre-conception multi vit and taking folic acid, Agnus castus and B50 complex.

Metalhead · 10/03/2015 17:53

Hope everyone is doing ok today? I had a terrible reaction to some avocado at lunch time - have had a few instances in the past when it's given me heartburn so only had a little bit, but even that was enough to give me the most horrendous stomach cramps so I had to lie down for nearly 2 hours! Good job I was working from home, and I certainly won't be eating any of that again in a hurry...

CHendy no advice here on tantrums other than to try to ignore. My son has never been chilled but fortunately can generally be reasoned with - boys who scream don't.

GoodEgg I take an l-lysine supplement to prevent cold sores. It really helps in large doses to clear them too. I've been on it this week as I'd been slack about taking the preventative dose, got run down, et voila.

Ridiculous day at work today... Glad to know I have a chicken in the slow cooker to greet me when I get in.

BurningGubbins · 10/03/2015 18:33

That's quite a cocktail Metal! And how weird about the avocado. I've never liked it myself and it seems to be cropping up everywhere these days.

Day 2 of soy and day 1 of temping. Not sure what I think it's goong to reveal but everyone seems to be at it!

Metalhead · 11/03/2015 15:34

I'd second burning's advice on tantrums chendy - just try and ignore them and walk away, there is nothing you can say or do that will stop a full-blown meltdown! (Or if there is, I never discovered it.)

One month in and I'm already sooo fed up of trying to be good all the time and cut down on caffeine, wine, chocolate etc. Not sure how much longer I will last...

Thanks for the advice! He had a really spectacular strop today when I collected from the chikdminder. Not enjoying this phase...

BurningGubbins · 12/03/2015 15:05

So, got my blood tests back today. All normal. One thing looked slightly low for the time of the month the test was done but still within the normal range. DH's turn next, then possible referral to the hospital.

Metalhead · 13/03/2015 09:16

That's good news burning, if a bit frustrating at the same time. Good luck with DH's sperm test.

Nothing to report here. CD8 today and last day of taking soy (ever). Slowly psyching myself up to getting back in the saddle with dtd regularly, though I don't expect to ov until next weekend at the earliest.

BurningGubbins · 14/03/2015 08:19

Yes, good news, but leaves us I don't know where. Mr G isn't doing the biz until after this next round of trying so it'll be a while before we know about that.

I forgot to take my soy on Thurs but took it yesterday. Not sure whether to do an extra day or not? Was doing days 4--8.

Brindler · 14/03/2015 11:36

I know how you feel burning - in a similar position here. I almost wanted something to be wrong with me so it could be fixed iykwim. Am now convinced it is my husbands iffy 4% morphology that's the problem and i'm not sure an awful lot can be done about that.

We've got our first appt with the consultant on Thursday (also the day af is due!) and got a feeling we are going to come away disappointed

Metalhead · 15/03/2015 09:31

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I hope you all have a lovely day today. I've already had three cards and lots of kisses from DD, and we're going out for a nice lunch later.

Hi ladies .
I'm new . I'm ttc number 2 . 7 month trying and I think I'm having a chemical for the 3rd time .
Conceived my first baby after 1 month trying .

Baby dust to everyone xxxx

BurningGubbins · 16/03/2015 06:32

Good luck for Thursday Brindler.

Mother's Day was great Metal, and a reminder that if this doesn't happen we already have an amazing little boy. Who needs a nap in the afternoons...

Welcome Squidgey, sorry to hear about the chemical. I'd never heard of them before coming on here - are some people more likely to have them than others?
I will be thoroughly depressed if 1990 turns out to be the tear you were born...

BurningGubbins · 16/03/2015 06:34

That should be year, obviously.

shelllike · 16/03/2015 13:08

Hi everyone. I've just found this thread and would love to join in if that's OK?

Potted history: 33, have been ttc #2 since July 2013 and have had a mmc and a mc in that time. After the mc last year we took three off and I'm now CD2 of our 7th month of trying again.

Reading through this thread, I'm now thinking about trying soy isoflavones.

LittlePoot · 16/03/2015 14:22

Just a quick hello - and welcome to the new faces. I'm still here, but my phone screen is still broken so I still can't use the Mumsnet app!!! Oh, and I'm still not pregnant - clearly. Interview is on Friday so am focusing on that at the moment and hopefully can get all the rest sorted (at least a new phone) after that. x

Metalhead · 17/03/2015 09:35

Hey little, I was starting to worry you'd abandoned us... Wink. Good luck with the interview on Friday, I'll keep my fx for you!

I've also got an interview next Monday, although I'm not sure the role would really be right for me. I would have to negotiate going part time, and it's only a 12-month contract so would be quite a big risk, but at least if I don't get it I won't be too disappointed.

Welcome squidgey and shell, and sorry to hear about your chemicals/mc. Soy hasn't really done anything for me shell but worth a try.

Brindler · 17/03/2015 18:11

Hi ladies. Have any soy users found I makes pmt symptoms worse?? Used it for first time this month and been feeling extra crampy the last couple of days (due af thurs) and sore bbs since about 1dpo!

shelllike · 17/03/2015 18:11

Thanks Metalhead! I have no idea if it'll do anything for me but I'm at the "will try anything" point. I will report back!

Metalhead · 17/03/2015 18:25

I had really bad ov pains on soy brindler, but no other unusual effects.

OP posts:
BurningGubbins · 17/03/2015 21:31

I've felt way more crampy the last 2 months, one was with soy, one without, so not sure it made any difference to me either. Having ovulation pains this month though, for the first time (soy again). Hoping it's a good sign. Entering the Shag Zone today... (that doesn't sound quite as I intended, but you know what I mean...).

Good luck with the interviews Metal and Little!

Metalhead · 18/03/2015 17:15

Thanks burning!

I think I shall henceforth always refer to the fertile window as 'The Shag Zone'! Grin Speaking of which, I seem to have ewcm today (CD13) which is really early for me. It could be the effect from my last dose of soy last week, I'm not sure... will have to see what the situation is tomorrow. Haven't even started with the opks yet as it seemed to early, but thankfully we dtd last night and Sunday.

OP posts:
Brindler · 19/03/2015 09:39

Consultant appt this afternoon for me. And of course af also arrived this morning because I just needed to feel that little bit more emotional about the whole thing...??

Actually thinking of taking this month off from trying (and also a temporary vow of celibacy to ensure absolutely no symptom spotting!) Got a couple of events to look forward to in early May that I would like to enjoy with alcohol and also just for my own sanity. Although there's a little voice in my head saying 'but what if this is the month it happens...' ??

Metalhead · 19/03/2015 10:50

Sorry about AF brindler, but I hope your appointment goes well today. I'd love a break from ttc, but like you always think 'what if this is the month'!

Well I only got a +opk today, CD14! This is unheard of! Either it's just another fluke or the inositol I've been taking is some sort of wonder drug... either way, more stealth shagging tonight then as DH's parents are staying over. [embarrassed]
