Still here, still struggling on, still hoping to get there in the end. Come on ladies, we'll all get our BFPs in 2015 (if not before)!

It's all total bollocks. Sigh.

Metal, were you on the soy again this month? It was my first round and I'm a bit early too, though that's not hugely unusual for me.

Was a bit gutted yesterday when I could see which way it was going, but had a good day at work today. Last 2 periods have been spontaneously painful and, er, grim. WTF is going on there?

Metalhead · 06/03/2015 18:29

Fx it's not the witch but some early pg cramps chendy.

burning yes I took soy again, this time on days 3-7 instead of 4-8, maybe that's what caused the upset? I usually always have a 14-day LP. Will probably go back to taking it CD4-8. I've also ordered some inositol, which I've read can help with pcos, and omega 3 for egg quality.

On a positive note, this AF has been nearly painless so far! And I'm actually feeling pretty ok about it all this month. Been reading some positive threads about only children on here and thinking that maybe this is for the best. I've never been the most maternal type and still find some bits of motherhood quite a chore, so God knows how I'd cope with two...

I took soy this month for the first time on 3-8. Yes after 2 years of ttc its the first time I've taken it! Always been a bit scared before esp after I found out I was actually ovulating but last resorts and all that!

We're just out of 'trying week' after a positive opk on Tuesday. Don't think I've got another dtd sesh left in me! Shock

Sorry for all the bfns ladies. I know all too well what that feels like.

Let my 2ww commence! Confused

BurningGubbins · 07/03/2015 07:35

I took soy on days 5-9 for egg quality and hoping to delay ovulation a bit to ensure I was home from a weekend away, but it didn't have any effect - no change to cycle, no ov pains... I wonder if I've got a shonky batch? Will try 4-8 this month. I'm waiting for my basal thermometer to arrive too.

I'm a bit the same Metal, not really a fan of the baby phase so wasn't really looking forward to that. We had a brief conversation about adoption last night - Huz not really keen but it's something we talked about doing before we had our son. I think he just hasn't given up hope yet.

Good luck Brindler and CHendy!

chendy78 · 07/03/2015 08:40

Almost too scared to write it but BFP!!!!!!!!!!! Gone through shaking excitement this morning to already worrying about another mc, then back to stunned happy again. Then DS piddled all over the floor (toilet training) and back to earth with a bump. delighted but also v scared after last time so holding back a bit I think, doesn't feel real. Maybe quantity over quality paid off for us this time x

Tweej · 07/03/2015 09:26

Ah chendy amazing news. So so brilliant. Think positively all will be ok.

So I also got a faint bfp last night. Had a big night out planned so decided to test. Got a 'pregnant' on a boots digital this morning. Only 11dpo so Im a bit nervous after last chemical. But gonna embrace the positivity and believe this will work out. Quality worked for me this month.

crispiecrunchie · 07/03/2015 09:27

Yay!!! Congratulations. I keep checking back to see how everyone is getting on! Xx

kaffkooks · 07/03/2015 09:48

Congratulations on the bfps tweej and chendy. Does being on this thread make everyone's cycles synchronise?! Grin I'm at the point hubby and I should be going to bed early but we are both too exhausted with work, organising a big party for my mum, toilet training ds and other stuff.

chendy78 · 07/03/2015 09:51

Congratulations tweej! Delighted for you!
Am going to keep positive like you say and rest and touch wood all will be good and this little bean will stick properly x

Metalhead · 07/03/2015 09:53

Ah, congratulations tweej and chendy! Wishing you both uneventful, healthy pregnancies.

Congratulations Tweej and CHendy! Keeping everything crossed that all goes well! Ah, we needed a bit of good news round here.

So Metal, that must mean it's you and me next month, right?Wink

BurningGubbins · 07/03/2015 10:16

Kaff, it did seem that we all synched up quickly!

Metalhead · 07/03/2015 10:48

Haha, I'm liking your positivity burning! Grin

Been quiet for a while. Still TTC but not really had much opportunity for trying (clashing schedules, exams etc) so hopping back on the trying trying now
Also nervous as although I know in my head that we haven't been trying properly I was secretly hoping (as most do) that I would just fall pregnant immediately.
Apart from ovulation sticks, cycle monitoring, supplements, any other tips with TTC? When LH surge happens how long usually til ovulation does anyone know?

BurningGubbins · 08/03/2015 09:10

Hi Nurse, I am by no means an expert and had been hoping the same as you. This month, if my thermometer arrives on time I'm hoping to track temperature to better define the window as I think we might be getting the quality/quantity thing wrong. Maybe. I've read lots of slightly differing stuff, but it seems like ovulation comes 12-36 hours after a +opk.

We've got a couple more cycles and then it looks like clashing schedules will be an issue so am feeling a bit of pressure now...

NurseDoctor · 08/03/2015 13:16

Burning glad to have some company! I've heard temperature is a good motoring technique. I'm a bit confused about the whole quantity thing also. OH thinks perhaps we don't do the deed enough over the ovulation period. No idea really [comfused] as it's first time trying for both of us we are pretty nervous of issues. I have endometriosis but no idea how extensive it is so unsure if it's causing a problem or not

BurningGubbins · 09/03/2015 06:26

Perhaps worth checking in with your doctor then to see if they can give you any advice?
There's a lot of information online, none of it is definitive, if you see what I mean. Otherwise we'd all be pregnant by now!

Metalhead · 09/03/2015 09:20

Regarding frequency of dtd, if you do every other day in the lead up to and during your fertile window you really should be covered. We've had a few months where we dtd every day for three days after a +opk and it didn't make any difference, so I wouldn't stress about it too much.

My kitchen looks a bit like a pharmacy as I'm going all out on supplements this month! Feel like I should be rattling, haha.

BurningGubbins · 09/03/2015 16:42

I do tell myself that every other day is fine but can't help thinking that every day must increase our chances... We eased off a bit last month due to schedules but...

Come on then, what are you taking this month Metal? I'm starting soy again tonight - upping the dose from last month.

LittlePoot · 09/03/2015 17:05

Hello all. Massive congrats to Tweej and CHendy - and can I be added to the list of bfps for next month please?! Sorry I've been quiet - I managed to break the top corner of my mobile phone screen and it means the top bit of the touchscreen doesn't work. As the mumsnet app isn't one you can turn the screen to rotate, I can't click the 'reply/add message' bit so can't write anything until I get to a computer (which isn't often....). But I'm still here, prepping for my interview and 5:2 ing into my suit (because I can't be arsed to buy a new one and this one almost fits...). cd7 today so a few more days before I have to worry about quality or quantity. Quite tempted to take a month off - could just do with a rest! But now I've hit the big four oh, the break may be even less advisable.

Metalhead · 09/03/2015 17:10

I find it quite ironic that the last time I got pregnant we literally had one shag all month, and now I'm unable to get upduffed even if I force myself to do it loads when I'm really not in the mood...

I'm giving soy one last go as well burning, after that my supply will have run out and I won't be ordering any more. On top of that I'm taking high-strength fish oils, Ferroglobin (which is iron, zinc and some other B-vits I think), folic acid, vit D and inositol. Good job I've quit the acupuncture or I wouldn't be able to pay for all this stuff! Grin

Metalhead · 09/03/2015 17:10

Oh, and not to forget the CoQ10!

OP posts:
Tweej · 09/03/2015 18:10

Thanks everyone. 13 dpo and testing daily still can't believe it.

Fingers crossed everyone x

chendy78 · 09/03/2015 19:56

Hi, thank you all too, like tweej still testing daily, keep checking to see if line is getting darker which so far it is. Keeping positive but still nervous. Little, when's your big interview?
Also does anyone have any tips for managing terrible 2 tantrums??? DS normally superchilled but going ballistic over slightest thing. Think he may be teething too.... poor thing.

chendy78 · 09/03/2015 20:00

Was going to try preseed this month if it hadn't happened- think you'd tried that though? X
