Still here, still struggling on, still hoping to get there in the end. Come on ladies, we'll all get our BFPs in 2015 (if not before)!

Thanks! Hard to believe you are only three weeks off your scan xx

LittlePoot · 27/01/2015 17:03

Oh goodegg - what horribly unsettling news for you. I've got no useful experience to share unfortunately, but echo what the others have said about it being good that you'll be fast tracked for more investigations so they can see whether there's really anything to worry about. Most investigations do turn out to be benign, so hang on to that at least.

Loves-how brilliant to hear from you and very pleased to hear you're suitably symptomatic! fingers crossed you're there too soon crispie.

CHendy78 · 27/01/2015 19:20

Confusingly ov now + so giving it a go, body's not sure if coming or going!Confused

CHendy78 · 27/01/2015 20:02

Congratulations Crispie! And goodegg, good luck, take each day x

EmperorTomatoKetchup · 27/01/2015 22:39

Thinking of you Goodegg, everything crossed you'll get a reassuring answer

lovemyboy247 · 27/01/2015 22:40

Hi im also still reading all your threads in background so congrats to you crispie. good egg im sorry you have something else to worry about. I had a cyst before my first born but I didnt have the situation as you. fx for you try and stay upbeat. xx

nice to hear from you loves. x
looking forward to seeing some more bfps and possative threads from you all. x x

Metalhead · 28/01/2015 10:03

Hi lovemy, good news about seeing the heartbeat though I can imagine the bleeding must be nerve wracking. Fx everything goes well with your 12-week scan next month.

AF has arrived, bang on time. I'm actually feeling much better now though, for me the last week of the 2ww is always the worst bit.

OP posts:
LittlePoot · 28/01/2015 13:17

Oh lovemy - that must be scary for you. Fingers crossed all will remain well. Did you have any bleeding in your first pregnancy? A friend of mine annoyingly just pregnant with her second had bleeding through both and both were absolutely fine. Do let us know when you hear more (hopefully positive) news.

Sorry af got you metal but glad you're feeling a bit better. I'm in exactly the worst bit for me - about 9dpo so too early to test and very slightly too early for proper pmt symptoms so always the time I get my hopes up. Poking boobs to see if they're sore - that kind of rubbish. Grrrr. By Friday I'll cave no doubt and start poas and that at least stops me getting all excited only to have af as normal, rubbing it in. Need to get some focus on my work and stop looking at mn to help the time pass quicker. It's not like I'm not busy, I just have the attention span of a peanut this week. Am just tired (not a symptom, literally just lack of sleep - coughs and colds at home) and that's making me want to eat crap food and do no work.... Ah well.

CHendy - after my mc (before ds) I waited a full cycle before trying so I could get my head round when things were due, but good luck for your trying straight away. After mc is reported to be a time of increased fertility (although I know that didn't work for metal) so hopefully you'll be getting some better news again soon.

LittlePoot · 28/01/2015 16:12

See, this is what does my head in - just went to the loo and (tmi alert) there's fresh red blood spotting. On 8/9dpo. Definitely not early af as I have absolutely no symptoms yet (wouldn't expect to until about 10dpo and I never have stealth af). So of course, half of mind is in overdrive thinking implantation and other half is thinking don't be daft, I've had spotting before (although not sure so fresh?) and it's just going to be the same as every other month. Grrrrr. Roll on poas at the weekend.....

Metalhead · 28/01/2015 18:32

Sounds like quite a positive sign little, when do you think you'll poas?

OP posts:
LittlePoot · 28/01/2015 18:37

I think I'm due on Monday or Tuesday so ideally I'll wait until Saturday. Having said that, I think I have 3 frers in the cupboard so that won't help my willpower....

GingerbreadHead · 28/01/2015 19:45

Congratulations Crispie! That's a lovely looking positive!
I'm still lurking here too. Little don't want to get your hopes up but that does sound like a positive sign, especially if you've not had it before and have no AF symptoms. Fx for you!
Metal I think Uni sounds like an excellent idea. Definitely go for it! Well done with the volunteering job too, that will be exciting!
GoodEgg I hope everything is ok with you, try not to worry yourself over it too much.
Glad all is going well for you lovemy and loves!

CHendy78 · 29/01/2015 08:25

Off for blood tests this morning to check for any other underlying reasons for mc but other than that back in 2ww. I'm not good at the waiting! But my son is poorly at the moment which in a way is a good distraction as he's keeping me busy. Littlepoot that's exciting, fingers crossed. Metal sorry the witch came, but at least as you say, you're not wondering. X

crispiecrunchie · 29/01/2015 08:37

Hello gingerbread how are you progressing?

I did the other superdrug yesterday and it was much darker so that's a good sign. I do want to see that clear blue go up to 3 but I'm not buying one for another week bedside I spent a fortune before mc when they didn't go above 1-2 weeks.

Fingers crossed little. These random symptoms are head wrecking

Xx

crispiecrunchie · 29/01/2015 08:38

Hope you get positive news today chendy

lovemyboy247 · 29/01/2015 08:54

little I didnt have any bleeding with first pregnsncy in fact ut was a breeze. ive stopped really wirrying byt its annoying and at the back of my mind all time. Your chances sound quiet good this month. fxx foryou good luck. . and good luck to the redt of you ladies. xx
crispie im glad you got a second possative. xxx

Metalhead · 29/01/2015 13:02

What kind of blood tests are you having CHendy, and is there a specific treason why you're having them? Just curious as I wasn't offered any tests after my mmc.

Any more spotting today little?

I think uni is unfortunately a non-starter ginger, I'd have to do an access course first and then it looks like it would be pretty full on, meaning I wouldn't have time to earn any money whilst doing it and with mortgage payments etc. to think of it's just not feasible. Oh well, back to the drawing board!

Got a copy of the letter the consultant sent to my GP today, it says given my history "it's likely" I'll conceive naturally. So trying to hold onto that positive note (just wish it'd happen sooner rather than later!).

CHendy78 · 29/01/2015 19:45

Doctor said a broad check, iron levels, vitamin d, but particularly thyroid levels. My mum had an underactive thyroid and apparently that can be linked to miscarriage. In terms of symptoms for that I have gained some weight and am shattered although it's just as likely too many naughties over Christmas and tiredness due to working full time with an active 2 year old. May be worth you checking though? Will find out results in 6 days. Had the question again today, so will you have another one soon? ??? Just smiling and the standard 'i hope so' response. Grrrrr x

EmperorTomatoKetchup · 29/01/2015 19:47

That's a good letter to receive Metal!

Hope the blood tests go okay CHendy

Good to hear you saw a heartbeat Loves so hopefully the bleeding is nothing to worry about

Hello Ginger, hope everything is going well with you?

Little the spotting sounds like a positive sign, I also had a little spotting on 8dpo and I erm, seem to have a bfp today..

Trying not to get too excited as AF due tomorrow/Saturday and I'm quite crampy so worried it might end up a chemical. I think I had one a few months ago, though I never got a bfp. I was getting cramps a few days before AF due (normally only get the day itself), AF was a couple of days late and a few hours before it arrived I had the most painful lower back ache. AF itself seemed a bit heavier and clotty than usual too but who knows..

So, maybe a break from it was all we needed?!

crispiecrunchie · 29/01/2015 20:13

Wrekin great news emperor. Everything crossed for you!!

LittlePoot · 29/01/2015 20:42

Yay emperor! Exciting news. Not sure I'll be joining you though -seem to have picked up a rather nasty stomach bug.... So even if something was trying to implant, it wouldn't like this very much! Hello to everyone else. Will write more when I can move more without needing to rush to the bathroom......

CHendy78 · 29/01/2015 23:14

Congratulations emperor, crossing everything for you x

GoodEggMightMaterialiseAnytime · 30/01/2015 00:13

Great news Emporer obvs that break was all that was needed.

I suppose that's a good letter to have Metal but a bit of a frustration too, to not have something you can DO something about. What about some sort of distance learning? Or too hard with a LO??

Loves with DS I bled on and off from week 6 to 16. Somethimes old blood and sometimes bright red blood and sometimes quite a frightening amount. They never were able to give me a reason for it but DS was perfectly fine. FC it doesn't go on too long for you.

Don't count yourself out yet Little our bodies seem to make a habit of playing tricks on us.

Glad to see things are going well with our graduates, it's nice to see that even after you get your wonderful BFP's you feel so comfortable here you keep coming back. Xx

Metalhead · 30/01/2015 07:55

Chendy I had my thyroid checked as part of all the fertility tests, was in normal range. Good of your GP to check it out though!

Congratulations emperor!

Hope you're feeling better today little, and I'm sure a tummy bug won't affect any egg trying to implant so don't worry about that.

Distance learning isn't possible for the course I was looking at goodegg but I might try and find something else to do. I always quite enjoyed studying (got 2 degrees already) though not sure if have to discipline for home study.

Thanks everyone

Like you Crispie I did another test this morning and the line was a bit darker so reassured a bit by that. I think I'm going to get some Clearblues too.

Hope you're starting to recover from the tummy bug little?

Hope you're feeling ok at the moment GoodEgg
