Hi ladies, I posted here a while ago. Hope everyone's well!

Just had a follow-up consultation with Dr Shehata this morning and found out that we have high TNF and high NK cell count, so starting Humira soon, followed by pred!

Hope we all get our BFPs soon :)

Determined123 · 24/01/2015 16:12

I was exactly the same. If I didn't tell anyone it wasn't real so couldn't go wrong! And I feel the same about letting people down but we are not! Far from it. Those around you will be so proud of what you are doing and going through to make this work (whatever the outcome). Like trying said spotting is ok and symptoms fluctuate at the stage too. You only need to google it and millions of women have had both and be fine.

Just dug out an old email from Louise for you and you can go up to 2 cyclogest a day if spotting. I didn't get to that stage before I knew it was over but if it was me I would do one am and one pm!

Sending you lots of e-hugs...I wish I could take some anxiety away from you I know exactly how you feel-keep as positive as you can Flowers xxx

Determined123 · 24/01/2015 16:16

Hi mackoo - Glad to hear from you and that you now have a plan of action in place! Feels weird but kind of good to get answers doesn't it!?

X

mackoo0524 · 24/01/2015 16:28

Hi Determined, thanks for your reply! Yes, it's reassuring to have a plan of action in place. At least we're doing something about it...

I went through the older posts and read about your MC :((( very sorry to hear about it. Hope you're better and hope you get a sticky BFP soon x

Tryingno1 · 24/01/2015 16:36

Are u still away determined? Hope u managed some more vino down u! I find the part post miscarriage the freest I am! I have sex when I want, drink coffee have alchol and choc! Plan holidays etc. it's so bittersweet. But use it as time to recharge and decide on ur next step On action.

Determined123 · 24/01/2015 16:56

Thanks Mackoo, its so pants but getting better/easier each day that passes! I will always be sad for what could have been but I am trying to be positive.

Yes I am trying - its snowing loads right now (in France) so staying in...hence why I am MN so much :) I know what you mean...today I feel the best/most relaxed i have felt in the last few weeks. (Finally I thought the fog would never lift). Not thinking about every little feeling or twinge or analysing everything and not being on pred is a massive bonus - about the only positive I can find with this crappy heart breaking experience).

(P.S - am seriously going to have to run about 5 marathons when I get home as I cannot stop comfort eating/drinking! Whoops Biscuit Wine Cake )

Tryingno1 · 24/01/2015 17:03

Ha! It's ok. Indulge now and go get the bluest cheese u can find! Lots of hugs. It's so sad :( but this will have all been a nightmare for u in time to come.

Tryingno1 · 24/01/2015 17:04

Sorry I mean a distant nightmare in time to come when u have ur baby
It is nightmare right now!
Ur being very brave x

Determined123 · 24/01/2015 17:06

ha ha - I knew what you meant - thanks for your support trying :) x

PS add pate to that long food list! he he!

sunnyday01 · 24/01/2015 17:34

Does anyone know what happens if you do have a mc on the pred - does md s do something else or us it a matter if just trying again?

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 24/01/2015 18:16

Try again. If u fail twice then he tries hydroxy. Has the spotting stopped?

sunnyday01 · 24/01/2015 18:39

Nope getting more - and it's more red now. Not enough for a pad but clearly visible when I wipe. I'm only 5 weeks today so it's very early.

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 24/01/2015 18:43

:(
I want to say it might be ok. But I know for us when we see the blood it means one thing. But u never know, it might. Alsooooo u did have 3 follicles could it be a twin? That happens too-that u sadly loose a twin early on. And one stays on. U won't know anything for sure till ur scan

Lots Of hugs. God it's shit on here at the moment for some Of us on here.

sunnyday01 · 24/01/2015 19:34

I had thought that - I wish I had a way of having some kind of CCTV camera up there so i coukd see what was going on. Dh has said I have to remain positive as it could still be in there and all ok, and I dh give up then it may give up too. I know he's right buts it's so hard - I really thought that with the treatment I wouldn't be going through this agony again.

I did have 5 days without the pred as I didn't think I was pregnant - not ideal but not much I found do about it.

I've just got to grin and bear it until Monday, I think I'll ask louise if it's worth getting a blood test/ going to epu this early or just sit it out.

OP posts:
Hula2 · 24/01/2015 22:38

Oh sunny i m so sorry you re in limbo. It s amazing how slow the days go when you re in this situation. As trying said with three follicles then there is the twin possiblity and lots of women bleed throughout the 1st tri and things are ok so stay strong and i ll keep everything crossed for you.

Hi Mackoo - good to hear you ve got a plan of action. I had borderline cytokines so held off on humira to try pred a couple of months but am retesting in a few wks and if they are worse will prob do humira.

Determined - hope you are doing ok, its good you have your hol and def good to enjoy the some freedom with the food and wine, the whole tcc thing can feel so restrictive sometimes.

Hi to everyone else, afm i m waiting to ov and hoping my cycle bounces back to normal after last month's 12 day one, so far on day 11 and just had a little ewcm so fingers crossed. Spoke to Louise and she said it wasn t the pred but i m not convinced...! 15 years of 28 day cycles plus or minus a few days and then a 12 day one after the pred seems to much of a co incidence. Interesting what you were saying Suemay and thanks so much for sharing. I feel uneasy with any drugs (and think i m quite sensitive to them too) so nice to know there are other options too like the intralipids 3 monthly. I wonder if Dr S would offer that if i can t tolerate the pred.

This is such a hard journey but we ve just got to stay strong and believe that when the times right it will happen for all of us.

Hula2 · 24/01/2015 22:51

Oh and suemays how did you find taking dhea ? Did it affect your cycles and which supplement did u take, i ve considered it because my amh is also low.

Also had anyone looked into or heard of wobenzyme ? Came across this link:

natural-fertility-info.com/fertility-wobenzym.html

What do u think ?

Rosa27 · 24/01/2015 23:12

Sunny- you're in my thoughts.. Everything crossed for you. I will never forget my last 3 week wait to know if the symptoms were bad news or not.. It's agonising. BUT.. So many times they are NOT bad news.. You do need to stay positive and distract yourself. TV series that have helped me include Mad Men (did all series in a week!) and Scandal. The Good Wife is quite good too.
Suemays... Thanks so much too.. Lots of extra info to add to our collective encyclopedias! Congratulations on getting there- so happy it was a story with a happy ending. Seriously we should all write a book of experiences.. There is such a gap in the market and I know I'd buy it!
Hula- thanks for the link. Sounds good and would be good to get Louise or Mr S view. Wonder ok if taking asprin too...? Do you know if it's expensive.
Hi Trying, Determined, Hope and everyone else.. Hope you're all doing ok. I'm emotionally volatile right now- seem to have a crying episode in the evening quite often... Not sure what's going on but hope I can move on to a better phase! Jan blues nearly over.. Come on Spring, sunshine and good news! ??

Rosa27 · 24/01/2015 23:13

That was picture of a beautiful flower in bloom- forgot this forum is a bit limited with inserting images! Flowers

Tryingno1 · 24/01/2015 23:25

Ha rosa the number of bloody series I have got Through because of these miscarriages! Good wife and 24 prob the best ones! I usually
Hibernate for 3 days and then force myself Out of bed. God I really don't want to do that ever again.
Try get some Sleep Sunny.
Determine hope it stops snowing so u can go out and buy more cheese and wine!
Rosa sorry ur having these outbursts. It's natural, ur prob getting overwhelming feelings in waves. I hope the acu does something for u this month.
Hula-thanks-that's so interesting. Are u going to take the pred again? I hope it was a one off and everything settles soon
Mackoo glad u found the thread
Dildoos and hope-hello!

Night girls x

suemays · 25/01/2015 09:22

sunny I had bleeding at 6 weeks with this baby and was convinced it was all over. I was tsking 2 cyclogest so switched them to inserting up the bum as I had read that they can cause irritation and bleeding in the vagina. Try this and see if the bleeding subsides. A friend of mine who had ivf had bright red bleeding for 12 weeks and all was fine just an old blood clot. I would get an early scan to stop it driving you mad. Then if its bad news you can move on to try again. I didn't announce my pregnancy news on here until I was 12 weeks as felt as soon as I did I would miscarry.
hula dhea did nothing for me at all. I bought it from America as it is supposed to be the high grade stuff that works. Its expensive and I felt uncomfortable taking something I didn't know that much about. Have you tried co q 10 as you can get that in the uk and its cheap - I got mine from Costco!
determined i cut out refined sugars and tried to follow a low gi diet but still had the odd treat. I also did yoga for a while to try bad relax.

sunnyday01 · 25/01/2015 09:26

Thanks for your message sue, I have yo put the cyclogest up the front as I suffer with ibs and it triggers it if I put them up that end (sorry tmi!). I'm only doing one at the moment - will wait until I speak to louise tomorrow.

Blood still there at the moment I'm still not needing a pad and it is still brown so holding out to a little bit of hope that it's nothing too serious. When you have been through what we have though it's hard not to fear the worst. I think because my boobs have returned to normal combined with the bleeding is the thing that is scaring me the most.

OP posts:
sunnyday01 · 25/01/2015 09:27

Also I'm not sure if epu will scan me this early - I did winder if I explained my situation they make allow me in this early.

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 25/01/2015 09:34

My epau won't scan till 5.5 weeks. i rang my rm nurse and she said same but maybe urs may have diff rules! sorry it's still going on, but as sue said it might still ok! U won't know for sure till u have a scan.

sunnyday01 · 25/01/2015 10:10

My local epu is open today but I think I just have to hold out until I can speak to louise tomorrow as hard as it is x thanks for all your support everyone - I can't believe this is happening.
