How you feeling?

Tried first acupuncture today, was really relaxing and have booked as recommended weekly for next 6 weeks. Hoping it will form a miracle.

Really sorry to hear that trying but try not to worry about cycle length. I had always been 28 days but started going from 24 to 32 in the months before I got pregnant. Think lots of things can send it off - you are probably right about the flu. Now you can get ready to go a little earlier than you expected this month.
determined I agree with trying on the scan. It kind of depends how you feel about these things. Six weeks is a hard time for a scan because you might or might not see a heartbeat. I'd either go right away when you know you won't see one (but might still be reassuring) or when you are back from hols when you know there should definitely be a heartbeat. How are you feeling today?

Glad u enjoyed the acu dildoos. And yes loads of people have found it helps! I think hope did it a lot the month she got preg. It never did anything for me but Im still going with it! As it does relax me.

Thanks hope, yeah I'm quite sure it was the flu and also I think a few days here or there don't mean much. I just prefer them being perfectly timed! But it does mean ovulation falls over a weeks now whoop-much better than the week after work etc.

When is ur next scan?

Determined have u decided about ur scan? Hope ur coping with the anxiety all this brings

Generally feeling better about everything. Much prefer it when I'm postive. Wish I could stay in this frame of mind!

Hi Everyone! Feeling a lot brighter and more positive today after a miserable weekend.

Thanks for your kind wishes, I know we probably are doing everything we can and it is a matter of being patient but it is just so hard sometimes. I have emailed Louise today with some thoughts/questions so will be interesting to see what she has to say.

Also was reading the leaflet I got at the local hospital over a year ago when I went to the RMC there, and there is also a short section on fertility and getting pregnant, and it brings up weight - my BMI is over 35 so i am firmly in the 'obese' category (although i am overweight i personally wouldn't class myself as obese, anyway..) and it says this can really impact on conception chances - so I am convinced that my weight has something to do with it so I am going to re-evaluate my diet and exercise and really focus on getting it down a bit (plus if i ever get to the point of need IVF i will have to loose weight anyway)

With regards to steroids messing up cycles - I asked Dr S this previously as my cycles have stayed pretty much bang on since starting them. he said in the early days when he first prescribed them they did impact on people cycle as you had to take them until your AF arrived, but after much refinement of the programme they found 10 days was about right and didn't seem to impact on cycle length etc.

Yep, bmi can def have an impact. Ur doing ww anyways and had lost some weight. Just keep going. I suppose that's one thing u have in ur control so that's empowering.

My early Period not taken them in 3
Months! I am going to take them again next month though and keep everything crossed!

i was saying to DH its so hard to know what to do as there is so much conflicting information - one dr says take pred from ov, another from bfp, one says take aspirin, another says don't etc etc - no wonder we have no idea what we should be doing and start to just make it up!

I was saying same thing to my DH! A lot of women have said asprin caused problems, seeing as u have followed the plan perfectly maybe omit that one step?
Next month I'm doing the pred as prescribed and being a good patient Smile. After that I have no idea what I'll Do!

Hopefully u will have ur DH results by then?
I asked him about the asprin when I first met him, he strongly believes it doesn't interfere with getting
Preg. Who knows! Prob him better than us but I couldn't help but feel paranoid!

Hi ladies, sorry didn't catch up yest, crazy busy before I go away!

One-welcome! It's a great place This board (sorry that you are and for your losses) but you are amongst a bunch of like minded/experienced ladies who know just what you are going through! With similar SILS it seems!

Trying-nuts about AF early and most of all sorry you are seeing her ugly face Sad I was so positive for you!! Looking back through my cycles the ones I had that were a load shorter were timed exactly round super stressful times (just before my wedding was a 24 dayer, had major stress with an event I was doing, 26 dayer and I was generally 32 dayer!) of course being ill will do crazy things to your cycle...on the plus side you are closer to another ov although that's no consolation.

Sunny I agree it's too difficult to know what to as so much contradictory info. Dh and I took the view that we would do what our expert advised for as long as we could so when/if it wasn't working we could go back and say so...what next we are doing as we are told kind of thing!

Dildoos glad you liked acu. csnt wait to hear how you progress with it. I feel I could do with some right now as I am pretty knackered from bad sleeping!!

Hula sorry about this crazy cycle...could you dtd every other day just to be sure?

Hope/trying - decided not to have scan before I go away (unless anything bad happens before then). Checked with Louise and that's fine. I am trying to be a bit philosophical/relaxed about it all (basically digging head in sand). Plus I am so busy trying to get everything done before I go it's more anxiety on top of too much anxiety I already have!! Hardly sleeping which isn't good! The scan won't change anything, the EPU or Dr S can't do anything if it going to happen it will happen so I am travelling prepped for every eventuality!!

When r u off determined? Have a great time. Great on the view-ur right whatever will happen will happen regardless of the scan. I'm hoping it turns out fine, it's natural for us to think the worst in this situation but I'm so glad u not had more spotting etc.
Have a lovely relaxed time away, try not to fret and sleep lots!

Not till Sunday. Am desperate to be there!

It's crazy, Dr S tells us something like 83% success rate but I'm behaving/feeling like i have a 17% chance and 83 not working, think it's a protection mechanism! Need to focus on PMA more!! Like you said it will happen when it happens, I take my meds, look after myself and the rest is out of my hands!!

Now I've come down with a bug too or just really bad morning sickness. Have lost my voice and don't have the energy to get out of bed!
I am feeling really positive for you determined. I love hearing that 83% figure from Dr S. It really gives us so much reason to feel hopeful! I was convinced it wasn't going to work when I was at your stage but so far have been proved wrong. My mum asked me the other day at what point I thought I would relax and I had to admit that I didn't think I would until the baby arrives. I had my first appointment with the midwife yesterday and having 12 week scan on Monday next week so those both feel like quite big milestones.
Hope you start to feel a lot better soon trying. It's not nice to have to deal with being sick on top of AF. Will be good to see how you get on with pred but no aspirin this month.
I'm off for a snooze now! Catch up later, x

had an email back from Louise today - she hasn't really answered the questions I asked and said it was something that needed to be discussed with Dr S at my next appointment - she also mentioned IVF (eeek!) is something we could discuss as well as getting a sperm test done for DH (which is tomorrow anyway so hopefully we will have the results by the time we go)

Not sure how I feel about IVF at this stage but i guess we need to see what DH sperm results are first.
