I live in northamptonshire, I have got my injection from that chemist too a couple of times but I'm not seeing him thus month so have a prescription to get it. I have rung that chemist already and that is our plan b if boots don't pull through in time - would be a 4 hour round trip though!

I agree sunny! I think ur all a lovely group of supportive women. It's so sad what has happened has happened to us, but I feel humbled that others in same position are are so kind and helpful.
One day we will all have our rainbows too, it's just gonna be a long slog. I truely believe if we keep
Going it will happen.

I'm feeling quite thoughtful about it all. Don't think this month is our
Month. DH usually has about6 units of alcohol a week but this week has jumped to about 20 and me usually nothing or 4 Units max. And I've had about 12. that cannot be conducive to ttc. But it's Xmas and I deserve a break. There's always next month? I know it will happen one day but sometimes I just wish it would hurry up. Can't bel people around me will have given birth to 2 Children in the time I've not managed to sustain 1 preg :(

Anyways now is not a time
For thinking if sad things. It's a time
To rem what we all have and be happy!

Lots of love to u all
X

hope congrats on getting to 8.5 weeks. Have you heard of the harmony scan that tests for chromosome problems? I had it at the foetal medicine centre in London when I was 10 weeks and it's very comprehensive. Might be worth you paying privately to do it. When I had my medical termination two years ago they told me that if you get passed 12 weeks and you have to terminate because the baby is incompatible with life etc that you have to give birth naturally because the hardened bones can rip you internally and then it takes longer to recover to TTC again. I don't now how serious your known chromosonal problem is and sorry to be so blunt but it gives you the option to find out earlier. They also do a package that includes the 12 week scan and is more thorough than the nhs one. Others on here have had the same testing done. We also had our 20 week scan there this time.

Just saw Free's news on Facebook - congratulations! What lovely news Smile
Merry Christmas to all here, at whatever stage of the journey you are at. I started to mc again on Xmas day four years ago, and today I get to watch my two year old go mad with his toys. Try to keep believing Flowers

Morning girls. Hope u had a fun filled merry Xmas.
Sorry u were babybombed dildoos, ur time will hopefully come soon. It would be much easier if we could be a cocoon shielded! Are u ovulating around now?

I feel like I've given up hope of getting a bfp. It feels like its never going to happen its been so long!

willitbe · 26/12/2014 21:28

dildoos · 26/12/2014 21:33

Trying its so hard this route to baby gain, I often feel like this then come back to positivity ! I def agree with it's the biggest roller coaster we will all ride EVER!

I am ovulating now so back on the pred ( round 2 only I keep telling myself) so here's to a happy news in new y,ear???? We can but hope! Are you ovulating soon also? X

Tryingno1 · 26/12/2014 22:37

I'm ovulating on New Year's Day! Prob same as sunnyday. Not sure when to DTD as we off out new years eve the min DH comes in that day so won't be able to! Will try 2 days before ovulatin and the day after (unlikey to work) and see what happens. But I have absolutely no hope of this being our month. I'm hoping lucky no 7 (this one is 6).
Hope urs is lucky!

Hopender · 27/12/2014 01:46

Hope you all had a great Christmas! I are far too much which hasn't helped my moon face at all! I'm starting to get a proper double chin...for some reason DH thinks if is hilarious...!!!
Glad you are all getting back on the baby-making wagon again! I know there will be more BFPs soon!
Thanks for your message too Suemays. I am so so sorry for what you must have gone through. It is just horribly heartbreaking and I feel for you do much. I also appreciate your advice. It is really hard to contemplate anything going wrong but I am trying to brace myself in case it is difficult news. The problem in my family is called ectrodactyly which on the whole isn't life threatening although is likely to be the reason we lost our little boy when I was six months pregnant last year as he was severely affected. It mostly causes abnormalities if the hands and feet. I am a carrier of it although you can't tell I have it in any way. My brother has it very mildly as do other people in my family. It is extremely variable so on one level it can cause a baby to develop barely any fingers or toes on another it can also be barely noticeable. My brother was born with two extra toes which were removed when he was born. It has usually manifested itself mildly in my family but it can be very disfiguring. I have a 50% chance of passing it to the baby. Within the 50% thought here is a 10% chance the baby will be a carrier like me, so have it but not in a noticeable way and another 20% chance it will be very mild so not an issue. So we have about a 20% chance that the baby will have a severe disfigurement of its hands and feet (it could be both hands and feet affected or just one). Obviously noone hopes their child will be born with a disfigurement but we have gone through so much to have this baby and it is already so wanted and loved. The truth is I don't really know what to think about it all. I know we would love and adore a baby with ectrodactly but it is hard to imagine the challenges a child with one finger on each hand might have. I guess you just want life to be happy for your children. My little boy doesn't have ectrodactyly and isn't a carrier. At this stage I am just trying to be positive...I personally think if isn't that bigger deal to be missing a finger of two. My cousin is beautiful and has hundreds of boyfriends and is missing fingers and toes but it isn't something you notice about her because she's been brought up not to think of it as a big deal. She is the most severely affected person in my family.
All I know at the moment is how much we want this baby! I'm nine weeks today and trousers are getting a little tight! Please do send positive thoughts and prayers for little toes and fingers developing! Hope you guys don't mind me going off topic too much either. Sending you all positive vibes, xxxx

dildoos · 27/12/2014 07:27

Hope sent up a prayer for fingers, toes and the easiest nicest full term pregnancy ever. Good luck and thank you for sharing your story I had never heard of condition before but will now be aware of it to hopefully pass on hope to others suffering condition. When is your next scan? X

Hopender · 27/12/2014 09:44

Thanks Dildoos, that is really nice of you. It means a lot. The next scan is at 11 weeks with Dr Shehata but we won't see fingers and toes then. The first one for ectrodactyly will be at 14 weeks. We could have a CVS test at 10 weeks but it wouldn't tell us how badly the baby is affected, if it is, and obviously carries the miscarriage risk. We did try to have PGD (pre-genetic diagnosis) with IVF but the condition hasn't got approval from the HFEA yet. It will probably happen soon but not in time for us. So just thinking positive thoughts and hoping it will make a difference. Thank you again for your kind words and prayers, it really helps. Hoping very much for some good news from you very soon too!
