Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

I think you are right Dizzy and he is just going along with it because he has given his word and he is a good guy who keeps his promises. Am going to have a talk with him tonight about it but I have a horrible feeling I will be stepping off the January bus which is pretty devastating!

Will let you all know later. Have done all the money talks etc already so not sure where we can go from here. Don't want to risk my marriage though!

I don't mean to sound harsh but it would be much better for both of you if you have to step off the bus for a while than commit to something that your DH isn't ready for. Hopefully he just needs some time, and on a positive note he's at least showing he's open to having children as some point, even if it's not right now?

Hello everyone! AF due today with a BFN this morning (after cramps yesterday but no bleeding I thought I'd give it a pop) so I'd like to join the bus please.

I was originally going to hop on the Jan bus anyway (TTC#2) but we decided to bring things forward a bit. I am so keen for a September baby - I'm not sure why really - but I keep reminding myself that anything can happen. A friend recently had her baby on August 31st, several weeks early - baby was due last week in October! My DH is an August baby and it certainly hasn't held him back. In any case, it will be a joy to be pregnant at all, with whatever due date except January because my mother will never speak to me again since we have so many January birthdays in the family.

night, I agree with dizzy that you do need both parties in agreement in the best case scenario. Sounds like a long chat is in order. If it's any consolation, my DH (5 years older than me) was hopeless during my pregnancy with DC1 and couldn't be persuaded to talk about anything we needed to decide - cots, prams, nappies, feeding, birth plan etc. But he stepped up and is fully involved with our DC now. I think it's all just so theoretical and removed for many partners until they can at least hear heartbeats etc.

Now I'm just waiting for these horrible cramps to resolve into AF and gear up for the next cycle!

I have no idea when I ovulate, and cycles tend to be 28-31 days.

I have a 14 mth dd and going to start ttc next month, however after finishing breast feeding af has had a mind of her own and is completely unpredictable. OPK's are ready to go so fingers crossed we will try and catch a good time .

...and AF is arriving so it will be CD1 for me tomorrow with hopes for BFP due Jan 9th.

nicelyneurotic, regular lube contains spermicides! Definitely don't use it while TTC. There are a few you can buy which aid contraception though so there are options.

Hi nicely, yes it does! We use 'pre-seed' and found it amazing, conceived our first DD using it, first cycle! Second DD just arrived, so only put it to the test once.
It feels nice during sex too, very light and natural. Although I haven't tried any other lubes for conceiving. But also I think evening primrose oil up until ovulation is supposed to help ewcm, but never tried that either.

Fifi my sympathies - I have a damaged ankle too! All purple and swollen from being hit twice by a hockey ball (careless of me). Did you fall?

Looks like I have to jump back on the December bus for now, as I ovulated today Cd 13, +opk yesterday, & pain in my right side all day, that got a lot worse this evening... temp in the morning will confirm if it is actually ovulating, so my BFP is due December 29th x Fx I get a BFP, & if not I will be back on the January bus ... good luck to you all x
