Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

Morning ladies!

Good luck back on the December bus Laura, fx crossed for you.

I have ordered Preseed to try this month - have had it sent to UK address so hoping I don't ovulate before we get to use it! Also ordered some cough medicine with that Guaifenesin ingredient to try and help EWCM this month and will buy some EPO when back home although that has to be taken from CD1 to ov so doubt I will try that until next cycle (fx crossed I won't need to though!!) as too late this cycle. Phew!!! Xmas Grin

Anyone had problems with Pregnacare extending their cycles? I am going to see what happens this cycle (providing I don't get bfp) but if AF doesn't arrive when she should I am thinking of stopping Pregnacare and just taking folic acid to see if my cycle length reduces a bit. I have found cycle length is creeping up steadily and want to nip that in the bud if I can.

Hi all,

Just an update on the conversation with my DH last night. Turns out that he hasn't been feeling ready but didn't want to say anything because he had given his word that we could TTC when I wanted. His majn issue is that we are not yet in the right house to have a family (we are moving end of April so I was happy to start TTC but he would rather be in the house before starting).

I really don't want to go ahead without him on board so am jumping off the January bus I'm afraid (btw am also AngharadPM, changed my username so you will want to remove me from the list).

He has said that it will be months rather than years which is a relief! However I have told him that I am just going to try to forget about it all until he comes to me and tells me he is ready. No idea how I am going to distract myself though!

Definitely know that this is the best for all concerned but still quite sad :( hopefully the house move will make the difference he thinks it will!

Thanks for all the support ladies and good luck! Xx

Best of luck Laura!
Hugs Nightandthelight x

Thanks for doing the stats list fifi :) although I have since turned 29 waaaaaaaa. did I say 29? I totally meant 21, yup I'm 21
nicely you can get Preseed which aids the spermies and Boots do one which is a bit cheaper I believe. That's the one we have.
I have a weird feeling AF is going to mess me about this month... I had ewcm which I don't normally get, now have AF symptoms (I won't go into tmi!) and nearly bit DHs head off this morning for something completely ridiculous so looks like PMT is setting in too :/ I'm only on CD13! hubby had his reversal done 2 weeks on Friday but I've been reading various things online and some suggest waiting 4 weeks but that'd mean we'd miss this month, but I know it'd make the chances of overall success that bit greater. I know what the sensible option is but seriously, we haven't DTD for like 6 weeks and that's hell!! it would mean I could drink over christmas

Glad he was able to open up to you night , at least you know for sure what was bothering him now & you can move forward together. The next few months will fly by what with packing, unpacking, decorating etc etc! I bet once you're in and settled he'll be ready sooner than you think too Xmas Smile. I had to wait for nearly 2 years for my DP to feel ready, it's tough when everyone else seems to be getting on with it but you need to concentrate on what works best for you both. I'm sure we'll see you back here before long!

nightandthelight · 16/12/2014 11:40

Thanks Dizzy :) like you say the time will fly by. Hopefully by the time I come back everyone on here will be well and truly preggers!

ShootTheMoon · 16/12/2014 12:34

Night, I know it must feel really disappointing right now, but first, the fact that you two can be so honest and grown up bodes really well for you as parents - your DH sounds like he would be a caring and honest dad. That's really nice! And secondly, it will feel tortuous while you are waiting, but when you are holding your lovely snuffly newborn in your arms one day, you will know that every decision you made led to you being able to give birth to that baby and everything will feel right. Good luck! Xmas Smile

ShootTheMoon · 16/12/2014 12:37

Argh. AF didn't show this morning so I am stuck in crampy hell. Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday and have had quite bad cramps for a few days - this has been happening in the last 6 months or so; intermittent spotting before AF gets going. All this 'count AF from the first day of proper bleeding' malarkey is fine but it means that on paper my AF is 3-4 days, but in practice I have spotting, cramping, and then bleeding for about 7 days out of every 26!

spamanderson · 16/12/2014 12:42

That sucks shoot :( my cycle seems to be getting shorter, which I suppose is a blessing if I am ovulating as it means we get more chances.... But it's annoying as hell! I get a day or 2 of spotting, then AF is about 4-5 days then another day or 2 of spotting after. Grrrr. I remember when I was young I used to have a 4 day AF, never any spotting or anything :/

nightandthelight · 16/12/2014 12:43

Awww thanks Shoot :) I know that DH is going to be an amazing dad once he's ready as he is such a good person. Will just have to take up a very time consuming hobby to get me through till then!

ShootTheMoon · 16/12/2014 14:08

night I really do mean it - as soon as I held DC1 I was so grateful for earlier failed cycles which had brought this wonderful tiny person to me. Was a very serene moment Smile.

spam I'm sorry you're going through it too! I remember that when AF first started at 12 or 13 that I would get a day of bleeding, then nothing, then a couple of days more, and it was really baffling. I think it is to do with hormonal balance (progesterone maybe?) so it does worry me a bit. It's almost 12 months since I stopped bf and the spotting started in the last 6 months or so. We'll just have to see I guess. I am just now realising that it is probably going to give me a lot of false hope in the TTC department Xmas Sad

nightandthelight · 16/12/2014 14:11

Definitely agree shoot, life often works out the right way in the end Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 16/12/2014 15:04

Ah EWCM you have arrived. Operation fuck DH may now begin. Excuse me ladies, I have somewhere else to be... This may take some time.

spamanderson · 16/12/2014 16:34

Ha ha have fun boris
Best of luck night when you do Start trying :)
It may be progesterone shoot as I started taking a progesterone only pill to settle my moods (I have mood swings and get terrible PMT). It shortened my cycles horrifically though, I ended up with 10-14 day cycles! It was hell! I was 9 when I started :(my eldest is 7 and getting teeny boobies now and major hormonal strops coming on, I'm just waiting for her start next :/ I hope she's not as bad as me, I can't imagine I'm much fun to live with so with 2 of us, DH will be leaving home!

Hi ladies, having my coil out in January that's if they find the bugger waiting for an appointment for an ultrasound. So hoping to start DTD as soon as its out Grin

MarysPrayer · 17/12/2014 14:58

Hi all, just catching up with your updates. Hope you're all well.

nightandthelight, I completely agree with ShootTheMoon. You sound like you have a brilliant relationship and I hope everything works out well for you.

I'm also not sure whether dh is completely on board with ttc #2. This time last year he was against the idea (whereas I wanted to) so I can't help thinking he has just given in a bit. esp as I've expressed my unhappiness a few times We will have to have 'the talk' sometime over the next couple of weeks.

I'm on cd15 today (28 day cycle, usually) so we're probably too late for this month anyway. (?) It might not be such a bad thing if we waited another month as I have a very important works conference at the end of Jan. If we were extremely lucky to hit jackpot first time I would be about 7 weeks pregnant by then, which is when I suffered the most sickness with dd1.

So, to cut along story short, I'm expecting AF to re-visit sometime around NYE and maybe a bfp at the end of Jan. . . So, I'm still allowed on this bus then! Smile
