Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

Hmmm, so possibly we should wait until next cycle just to be sure we get into the next school year. Our twins are a Sept 4 birthday (born 2 weeks early), so I doubt we'll get that lucky again!

spamanderson · 11/12/2014 18:44

2 weeks early is pretty good going for twins isn't it? I'd like to have a slightly early one this time, these 2 were both late :/ I'd love twins, they run in drs family but not mine unfortunately. I can still hope though ;) that way I'd get my 3rd and 4th children without hubby being able to argue that 3 is enough he he, poor hubby!

My DH wants an August baby as it's cheaper on childcare...!

MrsCrumbtious · 11/12/2014 20:43

Been 3 weeks since we last DTD and feeling so down about it. Hubby leaves for work early and comes home late so is always too tired for sex. As much as we want to have a baby, really miss the intimacy that's lacking in our relationship :-( xx

MarysPrayer · 11/12/2014 21:23

Hi again everyone, just caught up with all the new messages. Smile

spam the thought of having twins for my second pregnancy scares me tbh. Don't get me wrong I would make the very most of it but after deliberating whether to stop at one or try for dc2 it would be a bit of a shock.
Also, can I ask what's you're secret to having such a great sex drive?! I'm the opposite unfortunately. That's gonna have to change pretty soon though.

Thanks all for the reminders about vitamins.

Linguaphile · 11/12/2014 22:09

Spam, it was indeed good--they had to induce me in the end as they don't let you go past 38 weeks! I have a feeling I'm one of those women who naturally overbakes her offspring. Confused Ours were a total surprise (the twins in my family were three generations back, great-grandmother had two sets apparently), so I had no idea I was in line. In any case, identicals are aren't hereditary, so you still might get lucky!! I absolutely love having two at once, chaos and all.

MarysPrayer, I'm also terrified of this. We're ridiculously high risk for another set as ours are fraternal (indicates a hyper-ovulation gene), so we've had to mentally prepare ourselves for the possibility, even though we'd ideally like to cap things at three children (for now...).

MarysPrayer · 11/12/2014 22:20

Linguaphile, we're a family of overbakers too! Dd was twelve days late and would probably have been even later had I not had a sweep and had sex at 40+10, desperate measures hey? .

Two sets of twins would be amazing (and scary) - that's got to be seen as good luck in some ancient tradition surely?!

spamanderson · 11/12/2014 22:32

marysprayer no bloomin idea, I'm just a bit of a perve I think ha ha! I read a lot of dirty books too Wink as far as sex drive goes though, the more you get it, the more you want it. It's a case of use it or lose it.
I'm an over baker too :( dd1 was 11 days late, she'd have stayed in there longer if it hadn't been for a vaguely vicious 3rd sweep. Dd2 was 6 days late after my 2nd sweep? I didn't even realise I was in labour, I thought it was stomach ache, until I started timing contractions at 3-4 mins apart :/

MrsC - I know how you feel. DH and I both work and commute long hours and we have little energy left for an intimate relationship. That combined with dtd on demand due to ttc is really difficult emotionally for me. I miss the intimacy too. Know how you feel :(

MissMonkey · 12/12/2014 10:00

Hi ladies, I was quite rudely kicked of the December bus this morning by arrival of af so was sulkily stood at the bus stop and saw this bus coming and thought I'd jump on. Hope you all don't mind.

Stats are: 26 yrs, TTC#1, 14 months of trying and this will be 1st month trying with help of Clomid 50mg tabs (got to take cd 2-6 for three months).

Fingers x for all of you x

KnitFastDieWarm · 12/12/2014 11:40

Oooh the first bus I'm eligible to join! How exciting!

We are going to start in January (in order to fit in a final young-free-and-single new year incorporating booze) which feels like AGES but is in fact only a few weeks away. I can't wait!

Came off microgynon in July after ten years, and have been mainlining prenatal vits and folic acid since then. Have been less successful at giving up coffee, but am currently drinking a mug of decaff so it's a step in the right direction.

Cycles been pretty regular since then, averaging 24-28 days, so next fertile period should be 11-15th jan. DH won't know what hit him Grin

Good luck ladies! FESTIVE BABY DUST TO ALL!

Stats - KnitFastDieWarm, 27, TTC #1, AF due 28 Dec

MelonMelon · 12/12/2014 12:32

Happy Friday ladies! I've had a depressing start to the weekend: a smear test! Sorry for tmi....the nurse said it looks like I have thrush even though I've had no symptoms. I asked her whether it will affect our chances when we start ttc and she said no. But now I'm wondering whether to just nip to the chemist and get something to clear it up before we start ttc in 2 weeks? Nurse said not to worry but it's playing on my mind! I don't want anything to harm our chances. Sorry again for the too much info!

SueBridehead · 12/12/2014 12:32

Can I join as just left the December bus...

Suebridehead, 31, ttc #1, cycle 6, bfp due January 12th.

Feeling a bit down after AF this morning, I naively thought I would be pg by Christmas when I started.

Am going to cheer myself up with Chistmassy coffees (didn't drink coffee over tww), wine and chocolate!

pocopearl · 12/12/2014 14:07

hairStylistToBoris · 13/12/2014 08:29

Hello to all from the December bus. Sorry to see you boarding this bus. And new passengers to any bus, it's nice to have your company.

melon - I'd get some treatment, anything to remove extra stress.

Sue - I thought the same had hoped to be due in a few months from Christmas :(

Tessie nothing like a bit of tt retail therapy to set you up for a new month trying....!

We are getting ready for a busy week in the Boris household. This is peak fertility week and also lots of Christmas stuff planned, and mr Boris has work ishoos to deal with. No idea where we will find the time or energy to Dtd!

Has anyone any thoughts on Dtd everyday vs every other day vs every third day? I've read so much now I can't work out what to order mr Boris to prepare himself for!! The latest thing I read was every 3rd day through the month is advised.... Now I'm confused and we just don't have the time or energy to manage that!

HairStylisttoboris · 13/12/2014 08:30

Excuse typos, dyslexic. Haven't slept well for a while and DSD is being distracting.....

Linguaphile · 13/12/2014 09:40

Boris - we were dtd every other day when I got pregnant the first time. My cycles are so irregular that we didn't have a clue when I'd be fertile, so we figured we would cover our bases! It seemed to work for us as I got pregnant on the first go. The only thing I've heard is that every day decreases sperm quality or something like that. Interested now in the every third day recommendation!

Have just realised I never weighed in with stats. Here are mine:

Linguaphile, age 30, ttc#3, cycle 1, BFP due at some point in early/mid January.

MelonMelon · 13/12/2014 10:19

Thanks Boris. I'm off to get something from the pharmacy today. Af due Thursday and fertile period 2 weeks today!

My stats: Melon, age 27 (and 50 weeks!) TTC #1 cycle #1. Miscarriage in August at 8 weeks

Spam how are you and OH getting on?

HeyheyheyGoodbye · 13/12/2014 10:38

Can I hop on? My first bus! Whee Grin

HeyheyheyGoodbye · 13/12/2014 10:39

Oh stats, sorry: 33, TTC #1, cycle 1 :)
