Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

vickyors · 10/12/2014 21:25

Ooooo spamanderson.. Wellman conception.. I'm soooo tempted..

spamanderson · 10/12/2014 21:30

Nervous83 · 10/12/2014 22:19

I'm just taking folic acid at the mo, but Xmas shopping to finish I may join you on the boots 3:2 deals! It can only help I guess.
Mince pies! I'm onboard.
DH has just sprung a wknd away as a bday surprise...do I take OPKs with us? Is that too OCD?

Linguaphile · 10/12/2014 22:23

Oh gosh, you all are very diligent with your vitamins... I probably should take something a bit more robust than folic acid which I only just started taking last week . My diet isn't exactly varied at the moment--yesterday my lunch was literally the scraps that fell down off the table from the girls' lunch. Confused

loopylou1984 · 11/12/2014 06:38

Am still lurking here, trying hard to distract myself with Christmas.
Just wanted to mark my place so I can find you ladies again if I need to. X

AngharadPM · 11/12/2014 07:01

I'm the same Sammylou1 I have never before wanted Christmas to be over! Doesn't help that my Ovia app says that I am in the fertile period right now but nothing I can do till January :( not long now though!

MelonMelon · 11/12/2014 08:22

Angharad I'm in the same boat as you, Ovia is screaming at me to dtd as I'm fertile but DH is obsessed with not having an August baby so we have to wait til next cycle

AngharadPM · 11/12/2014 08:29

I'm the same with August babies, obviously I know lots of extremely successful people who were born in the summer but my friend is a primary school teacher and says that it really does make a difference, she is obsessed with avoiding August babies!

Definitely know that January is the best time to start but it's so hard waiting. Have been waiting six months for my cardiology investigations but because everything was so far away it was somehow more manageable. Now that it is so close I am going loopySmile

At least Christmas is here to distract us, not sure how I would cope otherwise. We will have to keep each other buoyed up and optimistic!

MelonMelon · 11/12/2014 08:37

Definitely! We have a goddaughter who was born in august and she's the brightest kid we know, but DH is so adamant I decided to just wait for a few more weeks, its not worth the battle. Although having had a miscarriage this August all I care about is a healthy baby not its exam results!

AngharadPM · 11/12/2014 08:46

Very sorry to hear about your miscarriage, a healthy baby is definitely the most important thing!

I would have loved to try a bit sooner too but DH was adamant about waiting for cardiology, would rather wait for him to be ready then charge on without him being on boardSmile

Here's to January and BFPs for us all!

booboobeedoo11 · 11/12/2014 09:19

Well seems its a good thing I bookee my seat for January! Couldn't help myself from testing this morning...not 100% sure but I think I'm 11/12 dpo and due AF on sunday...BFN! So annoyed with myself...grrrr!

mrsstickll · 11/12/2014 09:31

Sorry for your bfn booboo. Not to wish everyones lives and christmas away, but is it January yet?
Its been a week since DH vasectomy reversal he's supposed to be resting for two weeks but is already pawing at me to get started and its my fertile time, must stay strong! Is it just me or is Christmas not as distracting as I thought it was going to be?

spamanderson · 11/12/2014 11:31

melon you should DTD now, I fell on 7th December and she was born 6th September, so now would be a perfect time to fall to get the oldest in the year :D

OP posts:
spamanderson · 11/12/2014 11:36

Ha ha mrsstickll wish mine was that eager! Mine would happily go another month without it I reckon! I'm kind of looking forward to him going back to work on Monday as I feel like a single mum of 3 with him firmly planted in the sofa and not doing anything :/ I can't get anything done when he's here!

Linguaphile · 11/12/2014 12:14

Oh really spam?? Does that mean you got a positive test on the 7th or conceived on the 7th or that CD1 was the 7th? DH and I are wanting to make sure I also have a September due date, but I'm scared that if we dtd now I'll end up giving birth in August. I think I'm on CD 14 or 15 but am fairly sure I'm in my fertile window as have got EWCM at the moment. Would be comforting to know that we'd be safely into September if we started trying now!

spamanderson · 11/12/2014 13:46

Assuming normal cycles etc, if you conceived today, your edd would be 3rd September :) September babies do, in my opinion benefit from being born when they are as opposed to July/August. My youngest is a late July baby (29th) and dd1 was in a much better position for learning when she first started school.
