The January 2015 bus is warming up. Not setting off for awhile but feel free to step on:)

Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

I'm confused - on day 5 of this cycle and I just got a positive opk. I normally have a positive on day 11. I started testing on an earlier than normal day this month, as I home and bored. Now don't know what to make of it.

Thanks keys still can't quite believe it! Dd1 is crazing to know when she's going to get a baby brother of another baby sister! I told her it might take ages to get pregnant and then we won't tell her until we have a scan. Having to be really careful as she's a clever little thing!

Hairstylisttoboris thats why people get caught out not TTC thinking a few days after cycle they will be ok not to fall and take contraception. Your cycling early so happy baby making :).

hair are you using the cheapie strips? And the test line is as strong or stronger than the control line?

What are the most reliable strips to use? If all tests come back ok I am going to get some and start charting.

Hi all. Big congrats to maths, spam and kilter so pleased for you all and hope it will be me very soon!

I just wanted to ask, many people say once they stopped obsessing and relaxed about TTC they got their BFP but I take sirtriline for anxiety which does help me but do you think I could have less a chance of conceiving because I am naturally anxious? I am trying my best not to obsess about it but it is such a big thing and you cant help it. Plus my sister in law is currently pregnant and just makes me even more broody!

Stats : TTC #1, 31, cd9.

The test line is as strong as the control line, because I'm an addict if tested earlier in the day and got a near positive. Anyhow now I have things to do now to manage my boredom, see you laters....

Sammy - no it was lunch time then dinner time not fmu.
Maybe my completely relaxed Christmas holidays has brought it all forward?
Keys - I now use cheap Internet test, I buy them from Amazon by the bag of 30, they seem as reliable as the expensive ones I used to use and I get through loads of them as I test like an addict. I check my cm too and it always coincides.

Them, I have none medicated anxiety. I don't think being anxious helps, and ttc is enough to make the most laid back of us a wreck. Speak to your doctor if you are worried. I think most of us on here get anxious and slightly obsessive about it (hence we look for support here) but we get a good return rate with BFP on these busses despite the anxiety.

There are always people who will tell you it'll happen as soon as you relax, well bugger them coz I'm obsessing, stressing and getting anxious with the best of you - and I'll damn we'll get my bfp.

Had my two fertile days according to smiles yesterday and Thursday but unusual huge temp drop today, no rise like normal so have no idea what is going on. Ahhh! Just when I was feeling relaxed and positive about this month then took my temp this morning and Confused

Took a cb digi today and it also confirmed pregnant - I feel that actually seeing the words makes it all seem real!

Not sure I'm going to have any luck this month, only dtd twice over fertile period. Been rowing with dh as well. bah! He's had two weeks off work and he has been getting on my tits the whole time! argh! I'm looking forward to normality resuming from tomorrow when he's back at work. It sounds very harsh I know :/

Keys there was a thread in Childbirth just a few days ago about repeat C-sections. My understanding is that there is a small increased risk of issues with your placenta and rupture of your womb. The second one of those means that you'd probably be advised to have a section rather than a natural birth if you've had 2 previous sections. I think your surgeon often tells you whether they'd advise against another section based on how your womb looks. And on OPKs - I use the internet cheapies and have never had an issue with them. They are so much cheaper and I am a tightwad so for me it's a no-brainer!

TheNailGirl I don't think you can know if it is too soon without knowing when you ovulated. Do you have a short luteal period? If you ovulated around CD14 that would make you about DPO 6 (I think - my maths could be crap) which would be too early as the embryo wouldn't have implanted yet. I used to have a 25 day cycle and that would be about DPO 7 for me (still too early).

AFM, after yesterday's fears about my temperature drop, today it is right back up and I am feeling dizzy and nauseous this morning! Grin Until you said it Spam, I hadn't heard of dizziness as a sign of pregnancy but I'm now hoping it is the surest sign of all!!! Very hopeful that this could mean I'm pregnant. I tested this morning and it was negative but it is DPO 9 and last time I didn't test positive until DPO 10 so FX for tomorrow.

CD19/8dpo here and trying failing not to symptom spot. Woke up covered in sweat after a vivid nightmare last night, am all bloated, and have heartburn despite now taking folic acid at night. I also have had a sharp stabby pain on the left yesterday and a bit of cramping.

I am hopeless! Work will be manic when I go back tomorrow so I am hoping this week will go quickly! AF due a week Monday so I thought I might indulge in a test on Fri. Then I am determined that I will back off obsessing next month if it doesn't happen this time.

Morning everyone , managed one last attempt at dtd this morning . Cbfm read low this morning but got two peaks Wed and Thursday and high Friday, manged to dtd Friday night, not getting my hopes up at all as I'm not sure we have managed to do it when needed but least it's given me practise with the machine,

Thank you all for the lovely welcome. Your advice is really warming. I know my womb is badly scarred due to having 2 emergency c sections but no one has told me I can't have anymore. I think because my youngest was born at 27 weeks I have two separate scars but I have left it over 2 years be nearly 3 if I conceive before Xmas I am just very scared. I am sure all will be fine there are loads of mummys that have 4/5/6 c sections. I think i am just more worried because of my other two and know how much they need me. But a third wouldf make my world complete always wanted a big family. We decided to just go for it :). Thanks for testing stick advice as well. Strange thing this morning though without sounding to graphic I started AF on 26th December she was gone by 31st this morning I have that horrible white discharge is it to early to be ovulation?

Yay congrats on the BFP again Smile. Will take a while to sink in.

Sorry to hear about others bad news don't give up hope this month until AF has arrived. Good luck to all testing today :).

Sorry I never took OBS before when do u take your temp and if it stays high does it mean your more likely to have concieved?

rainy I tend to ov two days after a positive opk so if your peak was Friday there might still be an egg hanging about. Are you temping?
