Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

I'm in a similar predicament Quietly at the moment!

I've had two positive smiles in a row now and I thought my temp would then rise today but it's plummeted way way below coverline..any ideas anyone? It's never done this before at this stage and usually rises after OV?! Help!!! Here's my chart...

Sparkly - can't see your chart as I'm on my phone, but I know that some people get a dip before the rise for ovulation... So you might see your rise tomorrow. X

Boosk I have 4 frers in my drawer and am tempted to poas tomorrow (10dpo) but I wasted 4 last cycle, all bfn! DH wants me to wait until AF definitely late, so about Weds! Don't know if I can wait!

Hey Ladies...great to hear all the bfp's! And sorry to all who had a visit from the big bad witch! I'm one week from testing/af and with all the festivities over I can feel myself getting sucked back in to the dreaded 2ww (or 1week for me). Trying my best not to symptom spot as I'm loaded with the cold so feeling under the weather as it is. Fingers crossed for all still in for January.

To those who have had BFP's Any noticeable symptoms before testing? I'm only around 7dpo and this month I do not want to over react, last month I had made up so many symptoms that I really thought I could have been pregnant and was absolutely gutted when AF showed up!

Given that I thought AF had arrived at the end of last week, you should've seen the shock on DH's face when i told him the news yesterday! i guess the BFP is only a step on an unpredictable (and quite terrifying) journey...

booboobeedoo11 - the only noticeable symptom I had before testing was my very tender boobs. But i assumed i'd been sleeping on my front (or the more depressing alternative was that I'd put weight on over Christmas so that my bra no longer fitted properly!)

Thanks Kilted...I think I've put on so much weight the last few weeks I wont even notice haha. Last month I was like a crazy woman with the symptom spotting and I'm really trying my best and promising myself not to do it this time! So hard when you want to be so badly though! Thank god I have no tests in the house or I'd be tempted to POAS every day! Determined not to even do one before AF's arrival. Had you been ttc long kilted? This is my 5th cycle after bc and I know people have been trying way longer but I'm already frustrated!

Hello guys. Can I join please or I don't know if I need to join a different thread.

After much consideration and tests me and my OH have decided to go on for our 3rd baby. However we have had heartache and complications so this was a huge decision for us.
I have had two premature births 1st being 8 weeks, 2nd being 13 weeks early. The 1st is fine happy and healthy 4 year old 2nd has CP a VP shunt due to a brain bleed being born so prem with other complications. However she is starting nursery in September and on her way to going to a mainstream school so we was very lucky with her. On top of this I have had 2 miscarriages :(.
However the chances of another prem baby are high but this was due to me having a weak cervix and a stitch should now hold and I will go to 37 weeks on constant monitoring.
So I am on the January bus of ttc. I had my last cycle on 26th December and we decided this month I would come off of my contraception :).
Good luck everyone and I am looking forward to reading about your journeys. Hope we all have happy and healthy 2015/16 babies.

AF arrived here on NYE, as expected so we're still on track to start trying for a late Jan bfp. However - I'm STILL not sure if dh is on board. I'm feeling really down about it tbh. I'm keen to get started soon as I don't want too big an age gap (dd will be at least 3 as it stands) and I'll be 38 this year so time is not on my side. I feel like I'm stuck in limbo atm as I don't want to pressure dh into something he may not want, but I can't afford to wait. Either outcome could put a serious strain on our marriage.
Anyway, enough grumbling, perhaps I should be on another thread really . .

I'm genuinely happy to hear all the good news and I'm finding it really helpful to pick up all your ttc tips and have your virtual support!

booboobeedoo11 my first symptom with 1st was smell. I was on train up to work and all I could smell was garlic in someones sandwiches. Got BFP 4 days before my cycle was meant to start. Good luck hun I remember the 2 week wait very well lol. Not looking forward to that bit. 2nd I did not have any symptoms apart from sore boobs and I did feel very sick very early on.

Hi MarysPrayer sorry to hear your feeling down hun and sorry to hear about AF arriving. I was in the same position I wanted to try last year for another baby but my OH was not keen at all I think we was more scared about having another disabled child. But we sat and spoke about things and we are in a much better place. We are both very scared and our families are not going to be best pleased either but the decision we made is just between us to and we will be there for one another. Have you tried finding the reasons as to why you get that impression hun? It could be something so small as in he feels so disappointed when you get a BFN as well.

We only get one life and short window to have our babies I am sure if you talk to him everything will be ok. He has not said no to ttc has he so it may be something underlying with you as well as it was for my OH.
I do wish you all the best. Fingers crossed for BFP end of Jan that would be my time as well if I conceived this month.

Thanks keys I have an 11yr old but he was conceived while I was on bc and I was still having periods so actually didnt find out til I was 19wks so missed all the early symptoms! I was just feeling really light headed one morning and had to lie on the cold tiled floor, my mum made a passing comment of "hope you're not pregnant" and that stuck in my mind so ended up doing a test in work that day, fully expecting it to be negative! Test at the doctors came back negative twice so the nurse said that i must be under 6wks so imagine how shocked I was when at the scan I was 19wks 5 days! So even though I'm 31, have an 11yr old..this ttc has made me realise I know practically nothing about my body! This forum has been great though, learning every day haha

Oh wow booboobeedoo11 big age gap good babysitter lol :). How long have you got to wait until you can take a test? I wish u all the best hun. I couldnt imagine the shock you got lol but in a way at least the pregnancy must of gone quick. I miss being pregnant I know this will be my last time now :( so will enjoy the sickness lol. Just hoping I get to experience taking my baby home this time and not be in NICU for weeks on end. Doctors have said it is a risk but with a stitch I should be fine. I am so excited to be trying for a new addition now :). How long have you been trying ttc for hun? With my other two took me around 4 months but miscarried in between them wonder if with all my complications I cant carry boys :( we will see. Exciting times ahead :).

Can I join? I am on cycle day 8 and have varying length cycles from 23-27 days so starting my fertile period I think? This is my first cycle trying for number 2 and I can feel myself becoming very quickly obsessed!!
Just trying to keep calm as I know from last time it isn't always straightforward.

missmrs that would be so tempting. I'm all out of frers unfortunately (or fortunately). I have a couple of cb digis just for the purposes of seeing the words 'pregnant'. I'm going to try not to buy more and only test when af is properly late.

Hi g0ldie I am new as well hoping its ok for me to join. Congrates to the other who have BFP's as well sorry I didn't look to far back how exciting for you all :).
Oh I can feel the obsessiveness happening with me as well. My AF started 26th December have around a 30 day cycle so I know I am not even in my fertile window yet bust as soon as the 2ww starts I will be obsessing.
I think next weekend will be my most fertile time but please correct me if im wrong as might miss it completely.
It is exciting but wait is agonising but we all know we all get there in the end just upsetting when AF arrives when your planning a baby.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you hun and look forward sharing your journey with you xx

Yip keys big big age gap lol. I was 20 when I had him and went straight back on bc. His dad passed away suddenly when he was 3 and been with my partner since he was 6...fortunately for us all my partner has taken being a father figure in his stride since the very beginning..two of them love each other to bits! I came of bc in July last year but only really been trying (as in ov dates etc) for the last 3 cycles. Sorry to hear about hard times with your last, fx all goes well next time. My friend had her baby almost 3 months premature and she couldn't take her home for around 10wks, I know how bad she struggled with that. If its another BFN for me this month (AF due around 10th Jan) I think I'm gona try opk's as I'm really not sure what cd I ovulate, just been taking it roughly around cd10-cd16 and making sure we dtd before, on around these days lol. Its my OH birthday on the 12th so really hoping for BFP this month...great birthday present for him!

Not just yet keys first positive opk today so should ov in the next two days. Really hoping to catch it this month as we have missed timed the previous two. Turns out that I ov much later in the month than I thought. Have been temping and using fertility friend app which has really helped me get a handle on my cycle. Also hanging out here has been invaluable.

Sorry to hear of your difficulties keys with your previous pregnancies, fingers crossed for you that this one hangs in there a little longer.

booboo I can recommend temping. I had no idea how late my ov was until I started. It won't tell you when in advance but will confirm afterwards.
