Just thought I'd get the January bus started! The heaters on, the tunes are turned up and the seats are pretty comfy :)
I know there's a couple of others like myself who won't be POAS until January time so we have a bit of time to get cozy on the bus.
I'm Spam, my hubby is having a reverse vasectomy in a couple of weeks so my earliest hope of a BFP is 4/5th January :)

Just jumping on the bus, started trying for no. 2 this month and poas due around 6/7 Jan. I have one pg test at home, I'm determined that I won't be buying any more so won't be testing early - this month, next month or six months hence, that test will be my positive one!

tessiegirl · 28/12/2014 20:43

Welcome newbies!
Grrrr still no peak fertility on CB here and I am CD17. I did get a very nearly positive opk earlier so hoping that should be a positive tomorrow....fx. Trying the sperm meets egg plan so not dtd today, roll on tomorrow!!

squiish · 28/12/2014 21:07

Evening all
Sorry for the quietness, Christmas was busy and tried not to think about TTC too much Xmas Wink Thanks for your replies about OPKs - did my 1st one this afternoon on CD10, I'll try keep it within the hour each day which shouldn't be too much trouble until next weekend when we'll be travelling up to Manchester at that time. It's a CB one and it was a plain circle, when I took the tester thing out to chuck I saw the two lines - is that what other, cheaper OPKs look like? There was a definite faint line against a darker one... Has me thinking it might be soon?? Or am I wishing!
I am also really wanting a Sept baby (Oct also sounds nice Wink) as that time of year has been pretty awful for my family so would like to bring in some happiness! Smile

laurasdream · 28/12/2014 21:11

Hi Ladies x

Can I hop back on the January bus please? Af arrived yesterday, so I am now on cycle 15 of TTC Sad

new stats:

laurasdream, 33, TTC#2, Cycle 15, BFP due January 24th

Porchrules · 28/12/2014 21:51

Please can I board even though I'm still (doggedly) hanging on for AF - countless bfns and now cd 39 god knows what's going on here [hmmm].

Porch, 29, ttc#1, 5 months

Bovnydazzler · 28/12/2014 21:55

Evening all!
I'm running to catch this bus before it sets off, AF came on 24th Dec and chucked me off the December bus and I've been trying to spend the last few days not thinking of TTC rather than obsess. Anyhow I'm back on the Bus.

Stats: 30, TTC #2, month 11, cycle 6, 2nd clomid cycle, BFP due 21st Jan.

I had good and bad news last cycle. Bad news, not pregnant, despite clomid mimicking the symptoms, I felt so sick pre-AF I was sure I must be.

Good news, blood tests showed I ovulated and a normal length cycle (31 days, down from 50+ days previously). I'm working on my water intake and CM this cycle as I didn't have a hint of EWCM last month, although I did use preseed and plan to again. I won't use EPO until next cycle after I've discussed with the gynocologist.

missmonkey I see you're also on clomid, how's that going so far?

Sort of envious of all those nearing the end of the 2ww, that seems a lifetime ahead at cd5 (despite the obsession, nerves and stress that the 2ww brings!)

MaMaPo · 28/12/2014 22:03

Checking in on CD2 due to unwelcome arrival of AF.

Stats: MaMaPo, 36, ttc #2, cycle 8, bfp due 21 Jan

I'll be back later! Best of luck to everyone in the tww.

LoveYouAllTheWorld · 28/12/2014 22:35

Hi all, I'm new to this thread, hoping to ttc #1 on the 1st Jan and onwards, after this Christmas I'll be glad of a break from alcohol! Fingers crossed. Filling this board with baby dust. It just seems like such a long wait!xx

Marmite27 · 28/12/2014 22:52

I've had a funny afternoon, I've had some almost AF type pains on my right side this afternoon - quite stabby so was expecting an early visit (CD27/10DPO) then I went all hot, feel like I could spontaneously combust and still far too hot to dry my hair. Had to put a non underwired old bra on for bed as my boobs are sore and had a 10 minute episode of itchy nips.

Really, really trying not to get my hopes up as only did the dance once in my fertile window (day before OV - confirmed with IC OPK).

It's going to be a long few days!

Cardabelle · 29/12/2014 08:24

Lovely ladies, hello! May I join?
I'm new to MN and to TTC...

Stats: Cardabelle 35 TTC#1 Cycle 1/(or 0) CD 12 AF due 8/01/15 ish

Just taken the plunge and had mirena removed 16th Dec, so this is really a beta cycle as things are all over the place, not sure that I ovulated this month and DP was sick, so we didn't dtd as much as I'd have liked. AF dates also a bit of a guess as this is my first cycle sans hormonal bc since I was 17! (IUSs for 12+ years after 5+ on the pill)

Feeling a bit isolated as I live in a small and nosey community and we're not telling people we're TTC ... so I'm very grateful to have found this community here to share with!

I'm not sure how easy it will be to keep tongues from wagging as the dramatic reduction in alcohol consumption change in lifestyle will be somewhat conspicuous! I'll do my best to conceal it by telling people I'm doing a new-year detox... Any recommended strategies? Also, is anyone else here 35+ TTC#1?
Best wishes to all for new year BFPs! Smile

Haveheart · 29/12/2014 08:45

Hi all,
Long time lurker but first post! I came off Cerazette over two weeks ago so I'm not sure about my cycles yet, these are my stats
Haveheart 28, ttc# 1, cycle 1?, cycle day?( possibly 12dpo), AF possibly due in 3 days!
I've been charting my cm and various other symptoms on the Ovia app and according to that I have ovulated (we have been DTD every couple of days) and I'm now 12dpo. I've been having some pregnancy symptoms but I'm now starting to think they are just side effects of coming off the pill. I bought some ovulation sticks yesterday so I can start trying to work my body out and I had a faint line which I know is technically a negative but hopefully this means I am coming up to ovulation? When I put all my info into Ovia yesterday, including my negative opk it now says I'm ovulating now! So now I'm Confused! I've been googling too much recently and I think I need to learn to be patient! Good luck to everyone this month!

ImGoingForATwix · 29/12/2014 09:13

Marmite, that does sound positive but yes, very easy to get hopes up. I'm waiting until 6th jan to poas if I've not had AF before then. Woke up feeling sick as a dog today but not sure it could be morning sickness already. Those symptoms didn't really kick in until 7/8 weeks with dc1. I am on the lookout for an implantation bleed though. Got that 1 week before my BFP with dc1. I know it doesn't happen every time but hey, I have nothing better to do than a spot of pant watching Grin

Welcome newbies! Fx for lots of bfps.

ImGoingForATwix · 29/12/2014 09:21

Cardabelle - you could say you're doing that january booze detox that cancer research UK is promoting at the moment. Can't remember what they're calling it, Sober January, or something a bit catchier I think! My DH is going to do it but not ask for sponsors, we'll just make a donation ourselves.

Bovnydazzler · 29/12/2014 09:44

marmite fx that the symptoms are pregnancy related. When will you test? It only takes one well timed DTD... (not to get hopes up!)

Sorry to see you on this bus mamapo our BFPs are due the same day, fx for awesome Autumn babies!

spamanderson · 29/12/2014 09:54

Morning all! And hello new passengers :) AF didn't arrive today so no 25 day cycle this month like last month. Hopefully it'll go back to 29 days again. Could resist POAS again this morning and no hint of the line I was imagining from yesterday :( I am only 7DPO though so could be too early or I'm getting my hopes up for nothing

MaMaPo · 29/12/2014 10:22

Boo to seeing you on here! Best of luck to you this cycle.

Treaclepie19 · 29/12/2014 10:58

Hi all!
Solid smiley for me today!
We've been rubbish at dtd over xmas so really need to make sure we do today.

The good thing is at least my cycle seems regular now. Even if my lp is still too short.

HairStylistToBoris · 29/12/2014 11:01

Hello to all the new passengers! Great to have so many of you on, but sorry to see so many familiar names from earlier busses.

Cardabelle, I'm also over 35 ttc 1. I'm going with the january detox excuse as to why I'm cutting down on drinking... Just got to hope I'm successful quickly, been ttc since August, at first I tried the 'I need to diet for summer' routine (as wine has so many calories) then I told people I was on a longer health kick, think people are getting used to my irrational approach to drink....

I couldn't resist POAS again today, definitely still negative. I've not had all the usual horrible signs that AF is coming so I was hopeful for a positive. But anyhow. I'll pee in my ramekin again tomorrow just for the hell of it....

spamanderson · 29/12/2014 11:06

treacle good luck :) my LP is too short too. Has ranged 5-9 days :( so far this cycle its 6 days (I'm 7dpo).
Ha ha hairstylist I have a ramekin in my bottle drawer that I use too! I did POAS as well today. Still no AF signs for me at shes due in approx 3-4 days, itchiness and extreme thirst are my first signs and not here just yet. Really tender boobs and nips though...

Treaclepie19 · 29/12/2014 11:08

Oh no spam :( mines normally about 9. Doctor won't do anything about it.
I might try soy in the new year.

I'm really really hoping to get pregnant this month. I don't think I can take anymore! Plus due date would be dh's bday (and his brothers).

victoria401 · 29/12/2014 11:17

Hiya, decided to pop in over here! Still undecided whether to ttc this month but I know I will when ov signs start popping up!

victoria401, 34, last cycle before iui, BFP due Jan 18th

newbian · 29/12/2014 11:41

Hi ladies! Never said goodbye to the December bus as was waylaid by a MAJOR flu, ended up practically dead and hopped up on Lemsip for 4 days, and just to add insult to injury AF came at the same time, with monster cramps to boot. Couldn't even muster the energy to post on MN.

Anyway - so ovulation expected this week, DH and I are on the case :) Last cycle was my first normal one (30 days) since June so I'm hopeful that I'm back on track. I saw my endo in early December and she said I was possibly on too high of a dose of levothyroxine, the side effect of which is scanty and irregular periods. So with that adjusted I'm hoping we will finally hit the jackpot!

newbian

TTC #1
Cycle - hmm tough one. If I count when we actually started trying (July) and then the fact I had long cycles it would be cycle 5 now.

laurasdream · 29/12/2014 11:42

I made it to 10 dpo this month without spotting, but then had some spotting later on in the day, so I guess that makes my lp 9 days.... Sad ...I am heading to the docs tomorrow to try & get her to ush me gettting to see the gynae...we have been waiting 22 months (HSE) Sad ... I reckon I have luteal phase defect, as a blood test taken at 9 dpo showed that my progesterone levels were low ----> interupts implanatation ... I had a chemical pregnancy last month Sad..I believe it was due to my lp.. I too have had enough! I just need to see the gynae x

Nervous83 · 29/12/2014 11:48

Welcome all the newbies!!
Fingers crossed for those in the TWW
Big yay for the solid smilie Treacle Smile

CD4 for me, just waiting to wave off AF before I can start PO all of my AS.
Woke up this morning feeling really positive, hopefully that's the mood swings from AF out the way... BTW when did cramps get so bad?! I guess all the years on the pill kept us in pain free bliss.

spamanderson · 29/12/2014 14:00

laura I started a thread on here asking if people had any experience of a short LP, there's some useful replies in there. I'll try to bump it for you to watch :)
treacle it's ok, I have conceived 2 healthy dd's (plus one Chem pregnancy :( ) and I expect my LP was short then too so it doesn't look like it affected me too much. At the longest mine is also 9 days. I'm going to go for a few months (if I haven't fallen already obviously) and then try soy if we're unsuccessful. I'm feeling really positive though at the moment but can't help cringing whenever I wipe just hoping there's no blood :/
I have today had a tiny and mean tiny amount of brown earlier which I'm taking to be positive as normally the start of my AF is pink spotting. Had a couple of twinges in my stomach this morning though so hoping that's not a bad sign :/
Hi newbian and victoria. Fingers crossed victoria that you get your BFP before going for IUI :)
