The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

I have no idea. The cycle before the one I got pregnant in was 50 days long. I must have ov'd around cd16 the cycle we caught and I started miscarrying cd33 so we seem to have fallen on my first 'normal' length cycle.

I am praying that I get AF before cd35. I just want normal length cycles again :-(

NewEraNewMindset · 02/11/2014 17:18

Hmmm that's annoying. My cycles were pretty regular, every 25 days or so. Well I don't want to advise you against the doctors wishes.

If you did have the surgical option then it does mean you will probably 'reset' quicker than letting nature take it's course, so it does have it's advantages.

daisysunshine2 · 02/11/2014 18:42

chasing so sorry to hear about your results :( I really hope everything does happen naturally for you and soon so that you can get back to TTC again, thinking of you xx

daisysunshine2 · 02/11/2014 20:14

I think I've just got one weird AF so I've gone on Amazon and ordered 50 OPK strips, preseed and soft cups. BRING IT ON! secretly hoping this will work as reverse psychology on my uterus and I'll already be pregnant

ignominious · 02/11/2014 20:39

Daisy that's why I bought a new pack of tampons this month ha ha

NewEraNewMindset · 02/11/2014 20:42

Well I have no sign of AF and I can normally tell the day before when she is coming. It's so weird. If I had any good symptoms I might consider I could be pregnant, but everything cm wise is saying I'm not. Hope I've not broken my hormones by taking too many supplements.

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 22:03

So sorry chasing, i hope you are able to get back to normal soon x

I think I've lost my mojo. Can't be bothered to dtd, feel like i wont get pregnant anyway. Cd12 today, dtd cd 8 and 11 so far. Had 3 flashing smileys.
Normally get solid smiley 4th day. So really should dtd. What a conundrum.

Treacle when I feel like that I just get it done as though it's work. Ridiculous seeing that it's meant to be pleasurable but otherwise I brew on it that if we had had sex on X day I would actually be pregnant and not pissed off with a BFN in my hand.

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 22:49

Thanks newera, exactly what I did. Decided we would just do it.
Bedtime now x

Fingers crossed newera.

Well done treacle. Brave soldier! Smile

chasingtherainbow · 03/11/2014 06:41

Kmow that feeling treacle! It's inevitable I think. Kudos to you for 'taking one for the team' ;-)

I've been sick this morning. Seems the left over hcg is still affecting my smell and taste. Should have known when I started gagging near the bakery before my blood test app yesterday!

daisysunshine2 · 03/11/2014 07:00

Well done treacle :) Know that feeling for sure.

Fingers crossed for you newera hope you get a BFP

chasing that must be so horrible still having the symptoms :( I know I've said it before but sending you big hugs. Have you got some time off work?

Well AF arrived with force for me overnight... Such bad period pains I actually had to take paracetamol (which I never ever have done!) no idea why it's gone so bad... Ah well I look forward to my Amazon order!

Treaclepie19 · 03/11/2014 07:10

Thanks all :)
Back to work today :( ugh.

chasingtherainbow · 03/11/2014 07:34

Nope. In fact I'm doing all I can for my employers not to know. I could lose my job. If they know we've mc, they'll know we are likely to try again. I'd be made redundant in a month or so, so that they avoid the hassle of my maternity. . Thankfully I only work PT but its not been easy.

chasingtherainbow · 03/11/2014 07:34

Daisy I'm sorry to hear AF arrived :-( x

NewEraNewMindset · 03/11/2014 07:59

AF arrived for me this morning. I knew I wasn't pregnant as I know the signs and they just weren't there BUT I've stretched my LP to 14 days using B6 and I'm delighted. Will be using soy and evening primrose in the first half of my cycle to see if I can strengthen that too and then of course I've just got to get pregnant Grin

Sorry AF got you Daisy. Your symptoms sounded exceedingly pregnant, very strange.

chasingtherainbow · 03/11/2014 08:11

Sorry to hear that newera :-( but the lengthening your LP is great stuff...

Re: soy insoflavenes - it was listed, along with evening primrose in Women's Health (latest one) as ones definitely not to take.

daisysunshine2 · 03/11/2014 08:28

chasing sorry to hear about your work, it's so hard being a woman sometimes! Glad to hear you only work PT though, don't overdo it though make sure you give yourself some time
newera that sucks that you got AF but glad you are feeling positive :) I haven't looked into supplements yet... But the month I got my BFP I ovulated about day 10 and this month I didn't ovulate until about day 19/20... Hoping it goes back to normal!
Question... So I had the weird bleeding Saturday and Sunday and full Flow started today but would you count Saturday as CD1 as it was more than spotting or count today as CD1?

chasingtherainbow · 03/11/2014 08:38

I think I'd count cd1 from sat if you had any bleeding then hun? ... (are we allowed to hun here...? Lol)

NewEraNewMindset · 03/11/2014 08:57

Daisy you count the first day of full flow as CD1.

Chasing, you have to be very careful with soy and evening primrose oil that's probably why they say don't take. EPO can cause uterine contractions and has an oestrogenic effect so you only take it the first half of your cycle and stop just before OV. I am taking 3000mg a day to increase EWCM. Soy Isoflavones are best avoided unless like myself and other long term conceivers you have little to lose. I am going to be taking a lowish dose days 5-9 of my cycle to hopefully improve the quality of my ancient eggs and possibly delay OV a day or two.

chasingtherainbow · 03/11/2014 09:00

I had been toying with the idea of soy but it feels so risky. I hear great results/stories but there's a lot of unknown too. I can't say I've got anything to lose, up until I got my bfp we weren't even sure I was actually ovulating and my cycles or irregular and long. . I need to ride this mc crap out before I can have any sense if my cycles are remotely getting better.

NewEraNewMindset · 03/11/2014 09:03

Actually chasing soy could work pretty positively for you. Let me go find the soya thread we are posting on and you can lurk on it and see if we get any good results xx

Monten · 03/11/2014 09:33

Morning ladies, hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Sorry to hear AF arrived daisy and newera - although glad your cycles seem to be sorting themselves out newera.

Hope you’re doing okay chasing. You’ve really been through it. I can imagine how you feel about the empty womb scan. I only have to think about scan images to feel anxiety – I have only ever had bad news at a scan. I think I’ll always have that feeling about them now. I really hope your levels go down soon, when is your next appointment?

I’ve got a question about OV. I got a peak OPK today, after 6 days of flashing smileys. CD 16, the same day I got solid smiley last month. But my body is telling a completely different story! (TMI alert) My cervix is high but harder and CM has changed from clear (which it was when flashing smileys started) to opaque! No idea what’s going on now. Anyone else had similar? Do I believe my body or the OPK?

NewEraNewMindset · 03/11/2014 09:36

Monten I have to admit I would be suspicious. During OV my cervix is central, soft and open. I think your best bet is to temp and see when you get your temp rise.
