This bus is for anyone ttc hoping to get a BFP in December.

I know it's super early, but as I'm currently on a 2 month enforced break from ttc following a ruptured ectopic, December is the next bus I can catch.

Do feel free to come and join me on the journey.

Morning Grin

Mamapo, hope you had a lovely night.

Spam, sorry to hear dh's op has been put backThanks

Cd7 here, boring!

Have a good weekend ladies Grin

Orangeisthenewbanana · 15/11/2014 08:45

Morning ladies.
mamapo hope your night away with your DH was lovely and sorry to hear about your DH's surgery spam Sad. How frustrating for you both.

Just coming out of a few days of AF sulking. CD4 so very boring indeed. Bought myself some Seven Seas trying to have a baby vitamins, which were 3 for 2 in Boots. Hopefully now I've bought 3 bloody packs, the law of sod will kick in and produce a quick bfp! Grin

Have a lovely day all!

Joey0805 · 15/11/2014 15:26

Hellooooo, room for another one? Currently on CD42 (71 if I don't include a teeny bit of spotting in early Oct as AF) so no real way I'm still on the Nov bus!

Joey0805, 32, TTC#1, cycle 3, BFP due ??? Guessing 20th Dec for now.

Am so frustrated at not being able to get on with it...

Quietlyhopeful81 · 15/11/2014 16:34

Finally booted off the November bus after clinging on by my fingernails for a few days.

Stats: QuietlyHopeful81, 32, ttc #2, cycle 4, bfp due 13th December, which just happens to be my birthday.

Things I'm going to do differently this month... I bought a bbt thermometer in the middle of last cycle, after ov, so I've been practising with it every morning since then. The geeky part of me is looking forward to seeing the stats pile up. I'm one of the 'didn't actually have a clue about what my body does til ttc' people, and I honestly thought no pill = almost immediate pregnancy. I feel a bit stupid about that now lol. I've also ordered some preseed because I don't think I actually saw any ewcm last month (first month of proper crotch watch) and its made me a bit paranoid. I'm also Downloaded an app to track how much water I drink because I don't think I drink anywhere near enough (might account some for the evil headaches of doom I tend to get).

Anyways, I'll shut up now. Fx for everyone for Christmas bfps!

tessiegirl · 15/11/2014 16:55

Hi everyone!!

Oh Joey I really feel for you, must be so frustrating. Big hugs to you.

Welcome to the December bus Quietly - how lovely would it be for you to get your BFP on your birthday and just before Christmas?! Fx for you x
I am exactly the same as you in that I think I enjoy temping to see the stats coming in and feel as though I am having a teeny bit of control in something that I actually have no control over whatsoever, if that makes sense! I am so used to planning nearly every part of my life and now I am up against something that I can't plan exactly as I would like. Pretty terrifying!

Quietlyhopeful81 · 15/11/2014 17:10

That makes perfect sense to me, Tessie. I really hate the lack of control around ttc. Cycle 1, I monitored nothing. I had come off the pill a few months before, and we used condoms while things got back to normal. DP and I were pretty convinced it would just 'happen' and I think we were both gutted when it didn't. Generally, I like to get as much info as I can on things, so I spent some time cycle 2 googling the hell out of ttc, but we decided we didn't need to go nuts with opks and temping etc just yet. We just dtd around my predicted fertile times, since we had no idea if we were even close on cycle 1. The bfn in cycle 2 changed my attitude rather quickly and I bought opks, downloaded ff and ordered the bbt, and I now need want to know everything about everything when it comes to my cycle to grab a teeny bit of control back.

It would be awesome to get a bfp on my birthday and just in time for Christmas though Smile

Orangeisthenewbanana · 15/11/2014 18:34

Sorry AF got you quietly. Another control freak here! DD just happened without us really having to think too much about it, and I think I thought it would be the same this time round. Last cycle was the first one where I was sure we dtd at the right time, but even after that, it's all just down to luck, which turns me into a crazy person! Confused

Holding off from the temping for a few more months. I kind of want new things to try in the future if necessary plus, it's one more thing for me to obsess/stress over!

tessiegirl · 15/11/2014 19:10

Makes me feel sooooo much better that I am not alone in my craziness!!
Right from the time we said we would start ttc we bought opks, bbt thermometer, conceive plus, books and I signed up on here, Ovia and just recently ff!! As you can see I am treating ttc just as everything else in my life - I want to understand everything I possibly can and straight away!! Problem then is that I get so obsessed and worried by things if they are not turning out exactly as a book tells you they should. I think I would be better taking a step back and letting nature take its course but I would be too twitchy I think... Thankfully I have an extremely supportive DH who completely gets me and my need to obsess. Last year we were planning our wedding and I was completely the same as I am this year 'planning' ttc! Grin

knittedmittens · 15/11/2014 19:11

Welcome Quietly and. Joey

Quietly my BFP is also due on my birthday, it would be the best present!

Quietlyhopeful81 · 15/11/2014 19:26

Thanks Orange! DD was conceived when I was 21 and on the pill. She's now 11. I didn't even miss a pill or anything like that. I still got 'periods' til I was 3 months pregnant. Missed af, got a bfp, went for my 12 week scan and found I was almost six months pregnant. Bit of a shocker. I just thought I had put a bit of weight on lol. What that means for me now is that I have no idea what kind of early symptoms I had, if any. Definitely no morning sickness or anything as think I would have noticed something like that! #2 would be my first with my partner who has a DD of his own, and he's a control freak too, so he's constantly asking questions about what he can do to help too, which is nice. Hopefully all of us control freaks will get bfps soon! Smile

Quietlyhopeful81 · 15/11/2014 19:27

Knittedmittens it would be the most amazing birthday present ever! Fx you get yours! Smile

Quietlyhopeful81 · 15/11/2014 19:31

Tessie I love you! You are exactly like me! It was only lack of knowledge about how hard it could be that meant I didn't just jump straight in with all the ttc paraphernalia I think. Now, I want to know everything, and like you, I also get obsessive and worried. Dr Google is my best friend these days!

tessiegirl · 15/11/2014 19:40

Haha! Grin Last cycle was the first time I tried temping and I was absolutely convinced I hadn't ovulated based on what I thought was hardly a temperature shift like you see in the books. I was in such a foul mood for a few days but at the bottom of my moodiness it was because I was getting so worried and it was only the first bloody month!! My poor DH! Then a few days ago I signed up to ff and put all my temps in for last cycle and it confirmed ovulation did in fact happen - phew!! But what a whole lot of worry, obsession and moodiness did I have to go through!

We sound very similar Quietly Yay!! Do you also keep lists for just about everything in life? My desk is literally covered in post it notes and it may look a mess but writing lists keeps me sane!

Quietlyhopeful81 · 15/11/2014 20:11

Yep! I have lists for literally EVERYTHING! DP is constantly finding scraps of paper with a list or a plan of some kind on. They help me focus.. or I'm just super crazy, one or the other lol.

I'm looking forward to my first proper month temping and I can't wait to see my first temp shift! I've managed to get it into my head that I'm not ovulating (see! The obsessive worrying) and I Will be breathing a huge sigh of relief if when I see it! It's great that ff confirmed it for you! Smile

kezaroo · 16/11/2014 07:45

Can I join please?

Stats: 27, cycle 3.. I think (all over the place) bfp mid Dec

Done a test this morning - bfn so decided to take that as confirmation it was af I've just had (wasn't sure due to it being early, heavy-light and not usual symptoms).

So off we go again! [Smile]

kezaroo · 16/11/2014 07:46

Ok that didn't work..... Smile

RoseBud2015 · 16/11/2014 08:23

Hi. I'm off the Nov bus after first post-BC AF has STILL not shown up! Angry I'm now on cd53 and haven't officially got to cycle one of ttc yet as we were waiting for AF before we started ttc properly Sad

Joey I feel your pain! I'll be sitting at the back of the bus with tightly crossed arms, looking at my watch and feeling grumpy if anyone wants me!

Rosebud2015, 30, cycle 1 (once AF gets her fat arse over here!), bfp ??? (Your guess is as good as mine!)

fififolle · 16/11/2014 10:35

Morning! Can I join? I'm hopping over from the November bus as the wich has got me.
Fififolle 37 dc#2 BFP due 14th December.
I had a MMC at 10 weeks in mid October followed by medical management and an ERPC so it really was a bit hopeful for a November BFP.
Glad to have my wtf cycle out of the way!

tessiegirl · 16/11/2014 11:31

Morning everyone and a warm welcome to the December bus kezaroo, Rosebud and fifi!

Quietly - I'm so glad I am not the only one who continuously makes list after list. You are right, they help me focus too! I am sure you are ovulating but I know what is it like when you get a worry into your head. Fx temping will confirm this for you.

I am CD6 here and may start on the opks today or tomorrow. I'm not expecting them to be positive as yet but its the twitchiness in me wanting to know I have started testing in plenty of time!

Dozygirl · 16/11/2014 11:50

Welcome everybody. Sorry for ones who are here because of AF

I didn't think I was a control freak until ttc. I remember someone suggesting opk tests and I was all nah I'll just see what happens. But then when that doesn't work u start wanting to get some control and to understand your body. I didn't take any notice of anything when I came off the pill in April except for length of periods. I should have tracked everything!!

I'm enjoying the temping so far apart from the fact that I dream that I'm actually doing it when I havent so I wake up all confused wondering if I need to take it or not. I like the graphs tho :)

HairStylistToBoris · 16/11/2014 12:36

Please can i stagger onto the bus for the journey into December?

Boris, 35 ttc 1, cycle 4 of obsessively and seriously trying but cycle 7 if you count the relaxed 'if it happens it happens' months. BFP due 7th December.

Sakura03 · 16/11/2014 12:43

Hello ladies, I've come to join you as AF got me on Thursday...I felt so deflated as I had loads of symptoms that I'd never experienced before and af was a day late which has never happened before either... I can't decide whether to try opks or just take a relaxed approach, also do I stay on pregnacare (I've taken them for nearly 4 months) as I wonder if they brought on some of the symptoms, also since taking them my periods only last 2 days which I don't mind but normally they last 4-6 days, should I be concerned about that? Any suggestions ladies?

Sakura03 · 16/11/2014 13:11

Stats - Sakura, 36, ttc 1, c3 (longer if I count the "we'll see what happens" approach, 3rd cycle where I actually know what to look out for..). BFP due on 12 Dec.

TerrysNo3 · 16/11/2014 16:51

hello, hopping on over to join this highly successful bus journey to a BFP!

stats: TerrysNo3, TTC#3, cycle 4 (since ectopic), BFP due 17/12

tessiegirl · 16/11/2014 17:22

Welcome Boris, Sakura and TerrysNo3 - here's hoping this is our lucky month and we will have a lovely BFP in time for Christmas!

Sakura I have also been taking Pregnacare for a month so I can't comment on long term effects but I only had a 26 day cycle in November although AF has lasted for 6 days. I'm not sure if that could be down to the vitamins or my body still settling down after the pill Hmm I will continue taking it this month and see how it goes. Interesting that only since you have been taking it you have been having periods lasting 2 days. I would be really interested to hear what others say about this too...
