This bus is for anyone ttc hoping to get a BFP in December.

I know it's super early, but as I'm currently on a 2 month enforced break from ttc following a ruptured ectopic, December is the next bus I can catch.

Do feel free to come and join me on the journey.

Hello everyone, wow just had a read back! Took a while!! Grin

Welcome to newbies. There are so many of us now which is great!

hc899 at last I got my first peak on CB ov this morning on CD16 and after a total of 8 days at high!! Funnily enough I got a strong positive on an ic opk yesterday which is exactly what happened last cycle so I suspected I may get a peak today. Temp has taken a big dip this morning so hopefully should rise tomorrow??!! Confused. Unfortunately DH went away yesterday until Friday so I fear we may have missed the boat this month as I doubt DTD Monday night would catch the egg if I don't ovulate until tomorrow...Sad I am soooooo relieved I finally got a peak though.

How are you getting on hc899?

Sparkly you are right in thinking you have to buy a whole new pack of CB dual hormone tests with a new holder. I emailed Clearblue and checked that you can only use the same holder for two cycles and they confirmed it. Apparently the holders only have enough battery to guarantee two cycles then you have to buy a new pack with a new holder again!

MaGratgarlik1983 · 26/11/2014 12:44

Thanks MaMaPo I meant to do it but ran out of time!!

Currently 3 dpo. Ho hum.

DastardlyDachshund · 26/11/2014 12:45

Afternoon ladies.

DizzyNorthernBird I am right behind you it seems. CD28 today and spotting atm. Expecting af to arrive properly either later today or tomorrow. Not really bothered about her arrival as didn't try this month (and only dtd twice due to various reasons so would have been a miracle if I had got a bfp lol). I also usually ovulate around cd18 but I have a shorter luteal phase of around 12 days.

Onto my 3rd and final month on the clearblue study and conveniently got this months supplies this morning. I currently have a stash of 4 clearblue digital ovulation test holders and 28 test sticks to go with it. I also have 4 clearblue plus pregnancy tests at the ready so am good to go I think.

DastardlyDachshund · 26/11/2014 12:46

BTW, no need to put me on the af arrived list as it's not December yet so doesn't count as far as the stats are concerned Grin Wink.

Sparkly123 · 26/11/2014 12:55

Tessie- great news on getting a positive peak! Re clearblue thanks for that! It's actually the basic clearblue ovulation kit I have not the dual hormone one.. Has anyone had any experience of using both and preference?

DastardlyD- you sound good to go with supplies then! You never know.. Miracles do happen! Smile

Nomio230 · 26/11/2014 14:19

Hi everyone,

Looks like there will be lots of us getting out bfps in December. Great news that a couple of people have already had their happy endings. It gives me hope.

I am 3 dpo & feeling weird twinges in my ovaries. Trying to convince myself that it doesn't mean anything & I must not get my hopes up, but it is hard. This whole ttc business might actually send me loopy!

Hope you all have a good day. Smile

CoffeeTwo · 26/11/2014 14:33

Jessie we use preseed as a lube replacement but also I don't get much ewcm so I'm hoping it will help by making it easier for the swimmers to get where they need to go.

We only use the applicator during fertile days and I use it in the loo then dash to the bed. Nothing sexy about plastic contraptions! Ha. I also use half the amount they advise. We found that the full amount made things too slippy! I think your DH would know.

hc899 · 26/11/2014 15:15

To be honest Tessiegirl I am starting to despair a little as this morning gave me my 8th day of high in a row. My periods have been regular every month since coming off the pill though, so I'm hoping I should still get a peak - tomorrow hopefully!

hc899 · 26/11/2014 15:17

Can I also ask a stupid question of everyone -what does opk and dpo mean please?

MissMrsMummy · 26/11/2014 15:51

tessie sorry for the late reply! Pregnacare problems: short cycles, short LP, up to 5 days spotting before AF.... This was earlier in the year when I was also off work with stress so it could be linked but since we started trying again this time I wanted a change and coincidence or not, but my cycles are longer and my LP is also longer, I am taking Boots Conception Support (green box) so I'm happy. Also cheaper!

MissMrsMummy · 26/11/2014 15:53

hc899 opk = ovulation prediction kit and dpo= days post ovulation

MissMrsMummy · 26/11/2014 15:53

Just read back and am very excited for everyone on this bus. There is a lovely vibe Smile fx for all of us x

MissMrsMummy · 26/11/2014 15:54

rainy hope you get answers about your spotting

MissMrsMummy · 26/11/2014 16:00

Anyone else getting babybombed left, right and centre?! Two friends just had babies, people sharing/liking pg announcements on Fbook, nearly cried in supermarket as there were babies and bumps EVERYWHERE! Wah Envy Sad

HairStylistToBoris · 26/11/2014 16:15

Yes MissMrs! It's driving me mad! I have run out of nice ways to say 'I am so pleased for you' through gritted teeth. Bah.

ninjabeer · 26/11/2014 16:53

I'm with you MissMrs babies and bumps all over the shop! Am really happy for my friends who are preggers but it can be a bit overwhelming at times. I usually find wine helps!

sparkly thank you for the good luck wishes, just been to the docs and feel loads better about our situation. Doc was really understanding and has booked us both in for screening during this cycle so we at least we can find out what our chances are without wasting precious time. Feels like a massive step forward to at least have a bit of control back. We shall see!

tessiegirl · 26/11/2014 17:11

Oh no hc899 try not to despair!! Hang in there!! I had 8 days of high readings too, I nearly threw the test across the room a couple of days! Are you using any other opks? I also use some cheap ones I got off Amazon just to get another idea of what may be happening and see if they together with the CB ov tests and temping all match in what they say!

Thanks MissMrs I am very interested in how people get on taking Pregnacare as I have heard so many mixed views. I will continue taking them for now...

ninja so pleased your docs app went well and you are moving in the right direction Grin

mistywillow17 · 26/11/2014 17:20

Wow - this is a busy bus and it's not even December yet! We should have a bumper crop of festive BFPS coming up!

It's 5 dpo here and I am definitely, determinedly NOT symptom spotting this cycle.

my boobs have never been this painful in all the time we've been TTC

hc899 · 26/11/2014 17:29

Oh my god Tessiegirl I just tested again as a whim when I got home from work and have hit peak! I know this isn't a bfp but it almost feels like it - what a relief!

loopylou1984 · 26/11/2014 17:29

Missmrs - yes oh my god with the baby bombing!
I feel a completely unjustifiable amount of rage towards my pregnant colleague (not helped by her constantly telling me about each symptom and how I have all this to come!)
Babies and bumps everywhere, and my 2 sils are planning to get pregnant at the same time next year (lucky them being able to plan it) and I should 'join in' apparently! Agh!!!! X

Orangeisthenewbanana · 26/11/2014 18:51

Evening ladies! Just had a mammoth catch up - so many of us now! Looks hopeful for a whole load of December bfp's Smile. I can sympathise with the baby bombing - I have 7 friends (including my bestie) who are due between now and February, plus another who gave birth last week. Half the mums in our musical baby class are expecting and I think another friend will announce she's preggers any time! Sigh.

Just gearing up for the dtd-a-thon this weekend. CD15 here and expecting to ov day 19 or 20. Still negative opk's, just want to see something happen now! Patience is apparently not one of my virtues! Grin

On a totally random note, is anyone having problems with the MN mobile site (not the app)? When I try to write a post, my qwerty keypad keeps just shutting down and not reappearing. I would think it was my phone, but it doesn't happen with any other website??

SueBridehead · 26/11/2014 19:03

Definitely my earliest case of symptom spotting: don't even think I've ovulated yet and managed to convince myself I must be pg as had a really weird dizzy spell at work! Oh dear... It's going to be a long few weeks....

victoria401 · 26/11/2014 19:16

I don't think there's anyone left in my circle to baby bomb me! There's been so many over the last few years, its died off now!

Good you've got some tests to come ninja how long you been ttc?

Got our clinic appointment tomorrow to find out when we can start fertility treatment. Be early next year I imagine. Reckon we've got this cycle and next to try naturally. Only cd7 now, might start dtd tomorrow and do eod til 1dpo like last month which also didn't work

Rainy34 · 26/11/2014 19:18

Thanks MissMrs, i hope so too, i am totally with you on all the baby bombing everywhere i turn there is friends getting pregnant , pregnant women everywhere and then in supermarket its like they are coming at you with there prams aaaahhh!!

clairexxx · 26/11/2014 20:49

My friend has just announced her pregnancy and I'm so pleased for her but I'm sat here trying not to cry! Oh I sound terrible!! Just finding it very hard this month and I've only been ttc 4 months. Sorry to post this and although my husband is so supportive I kind of feel quite alone at times. I don't want to get his hopes up by talking about symptom spotting etc. I'm 6dpo and trying so hard not to symptom spot and I've had nothing anyway up until today. I feel like I have really low cramps and lower back ache and had a slight stabbing sensation but then again not sure they are symptoms at all! AF is due December 6th so guess it's a waiting game for now
