The December 2014 bus is here armed with mulled wine, mince pies, mistletoe and a sack-full of BFPs

This bus is for anyone ttc hoping to get a BFP in December.

I know it's super early, but as I'm currently on a 2 month enforced break from ttc following a ruptured ectopic, December is the next bus I can catch.

Do feel free to come and join me on the journey.

Oh Claire, I know how you feel. It's horrible isn't it, it feels like everyone is getting pg except you.
Saying you won't symptom spot is impossible because you notice every twinge - it's much easier for the men to forget about things because they only know what we tell them.
Chin up Hun, let's hope for Christmas miracles Smile

Fantastic hc899! It's a huge relief, isn't it?! Grin

I have been having really bad ovulation pain in my right ovary area all afternoon and I now have a banging headache. I'm not complaining, I am just so pleased my body seems to be working...

hc899 · 26/11/2014 21:41

Yeah, massive relief isn't it. I kind of feel like I've got mild twinges going on but to be honest I'm sure my body makes symptoms up sometimes when there's an emotional need for it. I don't think I'm going to believe anything until I do a test and it's positive lol.

Frolicacid · 26/11/2014 21:46

Wow!! Busy day on this thread!

Only half read back, but am so with you all on the baby boming at present! I have an overdue best friend and loads of others who are pregnant or just given birth. Today the last person in the world I would have expected it from announced thT she is over half way at age 43. So pleased for them all, but can't help but feel a bit green eyed.

toots. I bought my ovulation forward and shortened My cye by 5 days last time using soy. Trying it again this month and should know if it's worked if I ovulate early next week. Come and say hello on the soy thread?

Dozygirl · 26/11/2014 22:09

orange mine just crashes right when I'm in the middle of a massive post then I have to type it all again. Most annoying.

claire don't worry about finding it hard even after four months. It's crushing every month no matter how long it's taking. I've found it harder to bounce back each time AF has arrived. Felt really quite depressed this time but have managed to drag myself out of it in time for ovulation and the tww. Trying to stay positive and relaxed because negative feelings ain't gonna help it.

I'm sort of concerned about the fact that my AF/BFP is due right when I have a roller derby game which is a full contact sport. Currently sporting a black eye from tonight's training. Skated into someones helmet lol. I'll know of my period is coming before my date because I'll no doubt get spotting but if it's not coming then I can't decide if I should play or not. I'd be letting my team down by not playing and the ppl coming to watch but then I'd never forgive myself if something happened because I played. I'm gonna have to cross that bridge when I come to it though because I may not even be pregnant this time so it might not even be an issue.

ninjabeer · 26/11/2014 22:53

Good luck for your appointment tomorrow victoria401 hope they can start you off soon. We've not been using contraception since we got married 5 years ago and no hint of a bambino (although we weren't trying we weren't not trying if that makes sense?). We've been really proactive and technical about the whole operation for the last 5 cycles and have used every tip and trick going. I have certainly learnt a lot about what my body is up to - surely they should teach this stuff in school?! I know this isn't as long as some people here but now that we both want this so badly it does feel a bit like the pressure is on.

I'm on cd6, and we're going for eod this month starting tomorrow until 1-2 dpo just to be sure, I'm not totally sure I trust the OPK's that I'm using.

Best get an early night Wink!

Shootthemoon · 26/11/2014 23:09

Dozy, roller derby is awesome, how cool! I play a very physical sport and played up to the end of the first trimester with Dc1. Before then, the uterus is still snuggly behind the pelvis so in theory you should be fine.

My sport isn't quite as body contact as roller derby but it can involve flat out tumbles and collisions and some nasty injuries. In your situation I don't think I'd miss a match until sure of a BFP, at least.

Dozygirl · 26/11/2014 23:28

I really want to play the game so if I do get a BFP then I think I'll play and then stop after that. My lp is about 12 days so I'll know by the 6th December whether I am or not. Just have to wait it out. I'd rather have a BFP than AF though. What do u play shoot?

Good luck ninja with the eod dtd. I always plan to do that but life and tiredness gets in the way.

Sparkly123 · 26/11/2014 23:50

Glad you had a positive app ninja and good luck with this cycle! I'm cd 5 so right behind you!!

Totally get where everyone is coming from on the baby boom...it is everywhereeeeee!! But one day it will be each and every one of us... And it's the time of year for good luck and miracles after all! BFPs all round I say!

So can I please join you?

MrsGingerbread, 32, ttc #1, cycle 10 mcs cycle 3 and 4

Let's put a christmassy mince pie in the oven!

Boosk · 27/11/2014 07:04

Morning ladies,

Well it looks like af is finally sodding off! Yippee!

Treacle if you happen to be having a sneaky peek at the thread have a great December and enjoy the sanity of not ttc.

toothachereturns · 27/11/2014 07:19

cd11 and officially fertile according to my App! Smile

dtd this morning and have DH lined up for an active few days. ... This IS the month for the toothache to have her filling.... Hmm lol.

toothachereturns · 27/11/2014 07:25

I will catch up on this thread fully later.... it's a novel already Grin

victoria401 · 27/11/2014 07:37

Morning everyone!

When we had a few months off ttc after we had the false result that dh had no good sperm, I didn't get ANY symptoms! It just shows we look too hard!

Dozygirl · 27/11/2014 08:39

Here's my first proper temping chart. Ff has confirmed ov. I like this temping thing. It's really interesting. Just not sure whether to carry on for the rest of the month now. Think I'd get upset seeing a temp drop but it would be interesting to see how it coincides with the spotting to see if it drops when the spotting starts. I'm on nightshifts from tonight anyway so it might mess up the data being done at completely different times anyway.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 27/11/2014 09:24

Trying a different approach this month. I'm just going to make sure we dtd lots slap bang in the middle of my cycle. I'm not convinced by the cb digital opks as I'm certain I don't ovulate that late in the month and I think I completely missed my window.Ive looked back and I conceived two of my three children in the middle of my cycle as that's the only time we dtd

Shootthemoon · 27/11/2014 10:15

magician I think that's a really sensible attitude - it's pretty easy to get things just slightly wrong and miss the necessary times - conception isn't an exact science after all.

With DC1, I conceived in the month in which DH and I were (finally) in the same country the whole month - it had been the first time. We DTD regularly from the last day of AF and it worked for us. It remains to be seen if we'll have the same luck this time!

I have just had a mad moment and applied for a new job! It would be pretty cool I think, though it could make my commute and hours longer. We have decided not to postpone TTC any longer than we already have though - the application/interview process will take a month or two and my industry is competitive so it's not worth delaying things on the off chance. The new company has much better Mat leave though so I think it's worth applying, as TTC could take forever anyway.

kissinggiraffe · 27/11/2014 10:39

Morning ladies. Just checking in - absolutely not obsessing about dtd, still following my relaxed Christmas cycle approach. Ahem.

beautician how do you find the time/privacy to get lots of dtd done!? We have a teenager, a pre - teen and a toddler and to be honest there always seems to be someone awake/wanting a lift/needing help etc etc. Me and OH think we're doing amazing if we manage to dtd more than once a month!! We know we need to do it more now ttc but it's so difficult with a full house......

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/11/2014 11:17

kissing I remember when I was growing up, my parents were the only ones in the house who were allowed a bolt on the inside of their bedroom door..... Now I understand why! Food for thought....it would at least spare embarrassing moments and allow for hurriedly getting clothes back on etc! Wink When DP's kids stay over they're always in and out of our room so we don't get much time alone either. I'm hoping my window falls on our weekend off to be honest.

Interesting how we all seem to be suffering the baby bombing, although For me I'm not sure whether it's just because I'm more aware of it cos I'm planning ttc too. In the past few weeks I've even had friends getting upduffed who technically shouldn't....one was told she'd never have kids due to early menopause, now unexpectedly expecting twins, and my other mate was told no kids as she wasn't producing eggs...now pregnant despite not having a partner!! Chuffed to bits for both of them of course but can't get over how crazy it all is!

MrsCrumbtious · 27/11/2014 11:26

Hoping I can board the December bus too? Will be the first proper month hubby and I are TTC, sending you all some early December babydust xx

kissinggiraffe · 27/11/2014 11:39

dizzy we have a lock but I'm very conscious of any noises!! Blush A slightly squeaky bed is a dead giveaway to a teenager! I heard my parents once and couldn't look them in the eye for months!

kissinggiraffe · 27/11/2014 11:41

Welcome and god luck mrscrumb hope your journey on the buses is short and sweet Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/11/2014 11:50

I think I actually walked in on my parents a couple of times Blush including once on xmas day. I had to pretend I hadn't noticed! Thinking about it now though, fair play to them still being at it, they'd probably been married nearly twenty years by then!

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/11/2014 12:17

Ok so I said I wouldn't do this but......

I'm toying with the idea of getting some of those cheapy opk sticks off amazon, they seem to have mixed reviews on there and I think I've seen similar on here. They're only a few quid for twenty, so I'm wondering whether to give them a try to see how I get on. But are they actually worth the effort?
