I know its waaay early for a November bus to set off but AF arrived today kicking me off the September bus and with DH away next month the October bus is not an option. Anyone fancy joining me in the long wait? I don't expect much action on this thread for a few weeks but it would be nice to have some company. My stats are below:

iamevan, 35, TTC#2, cycle 6, BFP due 7th November

Afternoon Ladies,

Dozy From what I can gather from Dr Google any amount of saliva can damage and slow down the sperm significantly reducing the chances that any sperm will get where it needs to go.

Welcome Toots Im not funny or witty so dont worry lol....it often takes a body a long time to settle after the pill and you might not have ovulated yet sorry your in limbo though.

Secret Grape fruit is supposed to be good for cm but it tastes so horrible I prefer the epo lol...you drink it up till ovulation and pineapple is good for after ovulation.

Seafoam have you tried outfits and toys to spice things up...it works with my dp and keeps if going for the week! Hard when you dont know when your ovulating though is there anything the docs can do to help?
I cant stand to take a break after 18 months I need one but I cant do it!

Jessica sorry your joining us.

CD8 here so will start opks in a couple of days and scan on Tuesday to see if clomid is doing what its supposed to im so nervous!!

I had an evap on my frer. .. I'm gutted as I thought for a second..

Blueberry, stuff like that's a regular thing for us, I'm not sure how much more adventurous we could get!

I have super niggly pains today..

Hello! I've transferred from the Pregtober bus.

AF arrived today in quite dramatic style with major cramps, leaving me feeling nauseous, shakey and dizzy and going home early from work. It's never happened like that before, so it's all a bit odd. I also hardly ever get ill or take time off. I've been resting in bed and I'm feeling better, so I hope that's the end of it!

This month we're going to be trying OPKs and Conceive Plus. Last month's 'just DTD and don't get stressed out about it' didn't really work, so I might as well take up POAS as a hobby!

I might try some grapefruit juice then. Do you have to stop drinking it after ov like epo. I'm a bit scared of taking epo in case for some reason I take it after ov but I think I could do with a little help....we always kinda relied on saliva before Blush

theproof I will also be using opks and conceive plus for the first time. Here's hoping they help.

Welcome stow sorry you've been through losses. Hopefully your stay here will be short.

I've just been reading through SMEP - I think that I'll be giving that a go along with the OPKs. No point weeing on stuff if you don't use the information it gives you!

Which cycle are you on secret? Have you got any DCs?

theproof November will be cycle 2 (October we didn't manage to dtd at all though!) Ttc #4. DC1 and 2 were conceived very easily but dc3 took a couple of years so I'm feeling a bit nervous about trying again. Praying it won't take very long. I don't have age on my side any more!

Woohoo. Flashing smiley today, so we are off! Dh is out tonight, so I will have to pounce on him tomorrow night instead. :)

I much prefer the second half of the cycle, symptom spotting is so much better than waiting for af to sod off and then waiting again for an eggy to start coming along.

ruby Welcome. Sorry to see you here, but lovely to have you (hope you know what I mean) :)

Any gossip with anyone else?

I have an important hospital appointment tomorrow to get some results on my further biopsy after the removal of a scary mole. I also have a scary presentation at work this morning. Eeek! All that is distracting me quite a bit from ttc. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing! :)

Good luck mrsg. Hope it's nothing sinister. My dad has had lots of skin cancer things removed over the years and he's still going strong.

I'm losing my poas addiction. My opks aren't showing a second line yet even just a faint one and I quite enjoyed last month seeing a second line even tho I knew it meant negative. Will try again today and hope for a stronger one. Feeling impatient this month and want to get to the strong positive again so I can get excited.

Haven't even started DTD yet since AF left the building :( tried to last night but I got in a mood with DP so gave up. I don't have a good feeling about this month at all.

TheProofIsInThePudding · 15/10/2014 09:17

orange SMEP is basically DTD EOD starting on CD8 whilst using OPKs. When you get a +ve OPK DTD three days in a row. Then skip a day and do one more for luck!

I think we started too early and lost a bit of momentum last month. DH has trouble sleeping anyway and was shattered in week two. We'll see what happens!

Cycle 2 for us too secret. No wonder you struggle to DTD with 3 DCn! I hope you can add to your brood soon.

MrsG I think I prefer the first half... at that point you know you aren't pregnant (I don't like uncertainty!) plus you get to DTD a lot! GrinBlush

Dozy sounds like it's still early days this cycle if you haven't had a +ve OPK yet - there's still time, you haven't missed the boat yet!

I'm cd11 or 12 depending when AF started (it was a bit confusing this month) so I'm just approaching my fertile window. I'm only panicking because I'd read that the swimmers were better if they were produced regularly and I don't think that dps are so I figured I'd try starting them going last night. I also asked him if he ever does it himself in between times but he wouldn't give me a serious answer. I'm trying to do everything I can to make this work but he's not doing. He just thinks I'm being funny and overthinking everything. It's just so frustrating.

Aargh rant over sorry. I had a positive opk cd17 last month so there's still time but i need to get his swimmers better!

can I join please?

TTC #2, now on cycle 6, I cant really remember how many cycles it took to conceive DS1 as we weren't keeping a track, I hadn't been on the pill for ages as I felt it made me a bit crazy! So if I think when we actively DTD around fertile time, which I casually took as two weeks prior to period, it probably took around 9 months. This time, I have been more aware of my cycle and have been using Ovia, but I think we probably just don't dtd often enough, tiredness being a big thing for me. Also quite fat at the moment which has put me off intimacy. So trying to lose weight get healthy, up the ante DTD wise and conceive DC2!!

my stats- 33, TTC DS2, cycle 6. BPF due 11th November. Good luck everyone!
