Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Can I have some too please Tink? Wink

I haven't ever been in that position Honey, but I can imagine it could be pretty heartbreaking. Do you mean she doesn't want to consider IVF or she is doing it but doesn't want to discuss it?

RPopz · 13/09/2014 18:16

Haha bless you Tink , my cat disappeared a few weeks ago and I roasted a chicken in an attempt to lure her back... Wink It didn't work but she did come back eventually and ate most of it!!

ChatEnOeuf · 13/09/2014 21:41

These cats are troublesome, we've started to allow ours outside to play this weekend, thankfully she's timid and doesn't go far. Not had to resort to roast chicken to lure her home yet.

Don't think there's a big announcement yet, La, more my mother's nosy nose and insensitive mouth Hmm .

Fingers crossed it's a real line. I've had bleeding with all three of my pregnancies, one of them stuck it out til term...ish.

mountaingirl01 · 13/09/2014 23:07

lol tink that is something I would do! Our kit is such a spoilt little thing, despite her murderous nature (please refer to last fred). She disappeared for 2 weeks once and I cried for the whole time.

honeysucklejasmine · 13/09/2014 23:15

Oh your poor kitties! Give them all the chicken they can eat. mine just get dry food

I'm not sure Wilma. As far as I know she is going to the appointment but I don't think she wants the procedure. I do know that one of my friends (different person) objects to ivf on ethical grounds, so maybe its that. Of course I don't judge her opinions, i just wish i knew what they were so i can support her properly. Sad

callipygian00 · 13/09/2014 23:39

Jings! Just back from a week in Spain (not even a hint of a tan) and it's taken me forever to catch up! Congratulations to Kato and Gaggia, amazing lines! Wiggly - defo a line, has the bleeding stopped yet? I phoned NHS 24 when I started bleeding straight after BFP, they said some people just bleed during pregnancy so fx this will be the case for you! So sorry Honey, it sounds like you felt the same way as I did after mc, but I've been assured it's normal. Hello to all the new JSers! We need a few more viroids after all that bumper Fred! Curly - congratulations, your soon to be DH sounds so lovely! And much more romantic than my DH, he proposed in his old bedroom in his parents' house...

So stats...
Name: Calli
Age 33
TTC since June 2014, early mc July 2014
No DCs YET

Ordering a hooyah in advance. Have been blaming BFNs on not being able to DTD at right times but according to contraband I iced on Wed and we DTD Sun, Mon and Wed - much better timed than previous months so I know I'm going to struggle not to get all excited about POAS towards the end of TWOT...

lildottie · 14/09/2014 00:44

honey we are waiting for icsi ivf treatment. I've talked to quite s few ppl about it but dh hasn't told anyone. its s very personal thing and everyone deals with these things differently. I can understand the ethics/not wanting to go through it/fear of it being for nothing if it doesn't work. DG has always been about how we should let nature decide for survival of the fittest until now. but for us having out child is more important so we are willing to give it a shot + a second shot we'll have to pay for if it doesn't work. if that doesn't work who knows, but I'm trying not to think about that. I think the best thing you can do for your friend us give her other things to focus on/look forward to. hth

lildottie · 14/09/2014 00:44

many typos, much tired...dh not DG...you get jist

wilmabedrock · 14/09/2014 07:23

Yeah I think as Lil says it's a massively personal choice. Also it probably depends what the problem is as that will affect how likely it is to be successful. It's an awful lot to put yourself through if you think it's not likely to work.

gaggiagirl · 14/09/2014 08:59

Welcome back calli hope you had nice hols.

Morning viroids. Just going to read back and catch up.

Leela5 · 14/09/2014 09:12

Welcome back calli!

I'm also back - got in late so knackered.

I think as lil said it's personal choice. I've got one friend who told us when she had a round of ivf coming up, whereas another friend from same group of friends was very private about it.

I would let your friend know you're there if she would like to talk but equally you understand if she'd rather not. Be a bit sensitive about baby chat in front of her - but not to point where you're making a deal out of it.

OP posts:
lildottie · 14/09/2014 09:47

I was thinking more about it as I went to sleep last night. if it was me if send her a letter with a bunch of flowers letting her know you respect her not wanting to talk but if she needs you you're there. but don't pretend you understand what she is going through because until you are there you just can't x

honeysucklejasmine · 14/09/2014 10:01

Cheers for the advice ladies. We get together at least twice a week, so I think I'll just respond to her cues. If she wants to talk, we'll talk, if not, then not.

It is very hard for all involved. In the group everyone either has kids, is pregnant or is ttc so is really hard not to talk about it. I guess we're just that age!

Thanks calli. Did you enjoy your holibobs?

ChatEnOeuf · 14/09/2014 11:03

One of my closest friends had IVF and we chatted a lot about it; another I only knew because she delivered where I work and we were at the delivery - it's written all over your notes. It is a very personal choice. I think following her cues is best - let her know you're happy to listen when/if she'd like to talk.

Hope you had lovely holidays, Calli and La.

callipygian00 · 14/09/2014 19:04

Thanks, we had a great time, and if luck is on our side this month we could even have a little spanish bean - what a souvenir - beats a fridge magnet!

honeysucklejasmine · 14/09/2014 19:11

Will you name them after your destination? Grin

RPopz · 14/09/2014 19:57

Hehe! Fingers crossed for a Spanish one Smile x

WigglyBraddins · 14/09/2014 20:53

Evening viroids. Hello Calli and have a lovely holiday.

Bleeding has carried on today but seems to be stopping now. I hope it doesn't start again in the morning. I'm going to POAS again on Tuesday and will only get in touch with a midwife on Friday because that'll be a week after the bleeding started (last time that's how long mmc took) so I'll keep you all posted.

FX for everyone JSing and everyone waiting to test.

Oh and cats. Ours is called Ninja because she's little and black and her late brother was called Ginger. She couldn't be a better named cat. Our house backs onto a field and she's brought in rabbits, moles, rats, many other rodents, a partridge and many other birds. She gets covered in all sorts of mank. Luckily she doesn't go far though. She only has dried food and all of the above so I'm very impressed by your roast chicken cooking.

callipygian00 · 14/09/2014 21:44

Loving the Ninja cat! Honey Benalmadena, nickname Ben, LOL!

honeysucklejasmine · 14/09/2014 22:14

It could work Calli, it really could!

Your cat sounds great Wiggly. Ours are being snipped (spayed?! Girl version!) soon so i expect that they will be murderers too.

Melodygrace · 15/09/2014 06:55

Af got me yesterday. Sad it's really heavy and so painful. Iv not had a real period for so long always been on the pill or the bar so didnt really have much of a period. Sorry if tmi. Oh well onwards and upwards. Fingers crossed for wiggly. Smile

Leela5 · 15/09/2014 07:12

Morning viroids!

My baby should be named 'broken bed' if named after conception place Grin

Bed is now fixed and less likely to collapse

How's everyone?

wiggly hope bleeding stops soon x

TinkerBlue · 15/09/2014 08:12

Sorry af got you melody BiscuitBrew
And I still have everything crossed for you wiggly Flowers

Have made rod for my own back; kitten no 1 now only wants to eat chicken, apparently felix just doesn't compare! Kitten no 2 continues to eat everything, including flies and soil!

Have a good day all x

rm00054 · 15/09/2014 08:26
