Just wondering if anyone else is still in limbo?! Now on CD35, no sign of AF, bfn on test (I think, hard to wonder if I imagine these shadows of lines on the ICs). Loads of symptoms but don't want to let myself get excited in case AF shows and it's all in my head. Anyone else in the same situation?

R0ck, anything more on your opks? I've been peeing on them for near enough the whole year and still can't really work out a pattern to the 2nd line?? In fact, I'm so poas mad I'm still using them despite knowing I oved last week just in case I see anything to hint a pg, lol.

Welcome flower! Fx for a bfp next week! I believe the first day of AF is CD1 to answer your question though.

CD8 here today. Going to start POAS from day 10 I think. My last two cycles have been 45 and then 38 days so not really expecting to ov yet. However when I got pg with DD, my dates matched up exactly with a normal 28 day cycle so equally don't want to risk missing it! Going to spend the next few months getting to grips with what my body's doing - or hopefully just getting upduffed!

It's taken me aaaaaages to read your past 232 messages! I hoped R0ck you might like to hear my experiences of the OPK. This is our 2nd month ttc our first and I've used the OPK both months. My phone app tells me my fertile week and I start POAS everyday at 10am (you're not supposed to do it first thing in the morning because the hormone isn't made overnight). The line is weak until CD17 ish (for me anyway), then it's suddenly dark. When the line is as dark as the control line you should be ovulating.

We DTD every two days over the fertile week :)

No I have done well to stay away from the tests so far.

Sorry I've been quiet, I work Saturdays and Sundays and they're very early starts... By the time it gets to 6/7pm I'm ready for bed myself!

Which is where I am now incidentally.

Koko & Science - Thanks for sharing your experiences I'm still POAS mad at the mo, been doing twice a day (morning & when I get home from work around 5pm). They are still showing faint 2nd line. I know this is a negative result... But am hoping the line will get as dark as the other line when I am ovulating. It's hard to tell at the moment as my body/cycle has been a over the place! If I should be counting the one day of spotting on 4th Sept as a new cycle, my app tells me I should ov between today & next weekend. Otherwise my last normal 4day cycle was 5th Aug. Hopefully the line on ov strips gets dark one day this week!

Well day of the dreaded blood test, and now day 52, another BFN on Saturday. I guess we'll just need to see what happens, but I can't imagine that blood tests will pick up on something that a normal urine test won't so who knows.

Hi everyone, unfortunately I suffered an MC. I'm not surprised to be honest as I've been horrendously tired and unwell the last few weeks, and my hCG was barely registering and then gone. But now it's over I am back to my old self, if more prone to bursting in to tears at the moment. This hasn't put me off though, we are still going to keep trying as Rome wasn't built in a day.

Started POAS with my cheapie ov strips today. R0ck, I'm already sharing your faint second line pain, but am just trying to use it as a baseline so hopefully a positive will be really obvious! My phone app has my estimated ov date around 1st October based on my last cycle, but then my last cycle was a week shorter than the one before . Going to rely more on the sticks at the moment and hope things become a little more predictable!

Orange my 2nd faint line is still happening. Not got a dark positive line yet. Today I've had more spotting. So not quite sure where my cycle is at the moment as had spotting for 1 day the day after AF was due 2wks ago. Got cramps, so recon AF will be coming full flow. Will have to see what happens tomorrow. I'm using the ov strips to see if/when I am ovulating (but no positive results yet) as almost at the 6months TTC stage & cycle still all over the place. Thinking of booking docs appointment for 4th Oct to see if they can start tests.

Thanks guys. R0ck I've had a blood test today to check I ovulated. I went to see my new doctors yesterday (we've not long moved)....I went about something completely different but when I told her we were trying she offered the fertility tests. I've had to do one around day 21 and then they test again for other hormones on day 3.

orange and r0ck keep going with the ovulation sticks, that second dark line does come, I promise...for me day 17.

But r0ck....second line won't come if you're pregnant...fingers crossed you won't need the bloods :) Spotting and cramps......could be!

Nothing new here except DH at the weekend announced he thinks I might be pg, sadly it's because I turn into a right bitch when early pg and I was foul this weekend

I'm due on Thursday I think so waiting till then tho my ov sticks have been getting a fainter and fainter second line and I thought if I was I might see something so I think I'm out. At least at 43 days this is a shorter cycle than my 73 day one!!

Science - As much as I'd love that to be the case, I highly doubt it - Not had any positive results from my ov strips... Fingers crossed it will come soon though!! When you say you had first blood test done at day 21... Is that 21 days after AF?

I'm due a smear test, but worried about having one whilst TTC. Anyone know if it's ok to have one whilst TTC?

R0ck, that's 21 days from the start of AF. I questioned it because, as we all know, we're supposed to ovulate before that and my sticks said I ovulated day 17 but she (and the internet) assure me the hormone she's looking for will still be high.

I wouldn't have thought a smear would be fine. The doc was VERY keen for me to be up to date with smears.
