I'm not sure why my ms is bad this time lulu :( but yes it's all good signs for Thursday :)
I've also brought a new dress for a wedding on Saturday but I've since grown a small bump and also very bloated so I'm hoping to fit into that!

I think it's nice of ur PIL to pay for the travel system. I guess it makes them feel involved in some way :)

Well DS slept in till 6:30am instead of 5am! Yay!

Bearsinmotion · 26/08/2014 09:03

My ms is much worse this time - just got out my maternity clothes and even looking at them made me feel sick!

We have a Bugaboo Travel system - it's ten years old, my sister got it for DNephew and has lent it to several friends and it's still going strong!

I really want to get this for DC2, not quite sure how I justify the cost though! Maybe sell it on afterwards and get some money back!

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2014 09:05

LOVE that Bears!!
I just have a plain black one nothing special it's not even a known brand.

I tried one at the baby show this year that was perfect and so so so so comfy. But I've totally forgotten what it's called :(

lillamyy1 · 26/08/2014 09:17

I'm quite concerned about how we're going to afford everything too! My mum says she's going to start saving up for a travel system for us which is really sweet because she has hardly any money! I don't want her to have to spend anything really.
When do most women start getting a bump? My tummy's looking a bit plumper than usual but I can't work out if it's just fat Blush
Some of you were talking about having an 8 week scan, was that privately? I'd quite like to have one early to make sure baby's growing properly and in the right place etc but I'm guessing you have to go private?

Bearsinmotion · 26/08/2014 09:24

There are so many different types! My friend lent me three for DD, one was useless, one was great but only until she was about 4 months, and the third was useless until she was nearly a year! I think it's more important this time as I'll need somewhere safe for DC2 when chasing DD about!

Ducky23 · 26/08/2014 09:34

Lil mine was nhs but you can book them private too Smile (I think they're called reassurance scans?) as with the bum i think it depends! With dd I was hardly showing at all until 30 weeks, this time I have been massive from about 12! (From 6 weeks if you include the 'wind phase' haha Grin)

That baby carrier is lovely! I just have a boring plain one! Grin

Hope everyone has a good day!

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2014 09:38

Lilla mines also on NHS cuts that only because I had a car crash, otherwise I wouldn't get one. And bump wise I have a small bump now already!! Not big but u can see a small one.

Weather is so pants today :(

lillamyy1 · 26/08/2014 09:44

Yeah, the weather is gross! Still at my mum's being looked after but getting a bit bored now.
Has anyone been exercising regularly? I'd become quite lazy about going to the gym when I got pg and now I've been so tired and sicky that I haven't felt like doing any exercise but I keep reason how important it is Confused

Ducky23 · 26/08/2014 09:46

I have stopped exercising! I rode my horse up until 7 months last time but stopped around 12 weeks this time! I miss it but didn't want to risk anything as I almost fell off last time Hmm

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2014 10:05

DS is my exercise Grin haha!!

poppet85 · 26/08/2014 12:23

Ive joined pregnancy yoga start next week . My friend managed to pop out her 10 pound baby with minimal pain relief and puts it down to pregnancy yoga . Worth a shot I guess !!

lillamyy1 · 26/08/2014 12:29

Good idea! I'll have a look into it Smile

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2014 15:35

When does this fatigue and exhaustion go?? :( I'm so so tired and just always feel worn out. I need to clean the house but I'd rather go for a nap haha Grin

Ducky23 · 26/08/2014 17:00

I am almost 23 weeks cupcake and still exhausted!

It's crazy how different this pg has been compared with dd. with dd I had really bad morning sickness and heartburn, I had normal energy and my skin was quite good but this time I am absoloutely exhausted and had really bad skin. Confused I thought I had ms but hospital recons it was panic attacks Blush which is strange, I always thought panic attacks were where you couldn't catch your breath

lillamyy1 · 26/08/2014 19:01

I'm constantly tired too. And I've had such a bad day for sickness.
The tablets don't seem to be working at all at the moment.
That's weird about the panic attacks Ducky! I always thought it was a shortness of breath as well, never heard of it being nausea.

Cupcake92 · 26/08/2014 21:17

Oh gosh looks like I'll be tired for a while then lol! Ducky panic attacks are due to anxiety. Ya know when someone panics and gets nervous they can feel like they are gonna throw up. So I guess that's what they meant ? :s

I hope the tablets start to work soon for u lilla!

LuluJakey1 · 26/08/2014 21:40

My first scan- about 8 weeks was NHS Lilla- to check dates/ growth etc because I have a thyroid problem. It showed I was further on than I thought- hadn't been keeping track of anything as we weren't really trying, we just were faffing around.

It is nice of PIL Cupcake. They are quite well off in that they both have decent pensions from work, mortgage paid, savings etc but I still feel guilty.

I was much more tired early on than I am now.

As for dresses, I am looking on ebay- there is some really pretty maternity stuff for parties from Tiffany Rose on there and about 1/3 rd or less of shop prices.

Lots of baby stuff too, I have had a good trawl tonight.

Poppet I am starting pregnancy yoga next week. It is supposed to help with the birth- please let it work!

Cupcake92 · 27/08/2014 08:17

All those doing pregnancy yoga let me know how it goes :) I might look into it.

I've been throwing up all morning and I dunno if I can take any more!!
My stomach is achy and I'm pretty sure there's nothing left to throw up In there. :( my scan is tomorrow .... Now I'm more worried and scared its twins!! Lol!!

Siarie · 27/08/2014 09:25

I wonder if I'll get a scan sooner, I have a thyroid problem as well. I'm going to pay for a private scan if not, it's only £100. Then another private between the two NHS ones for gender and a decent 3D/4D.

My sense of smell is crazy this morning! I looked into pregnancy yoga and there are loads of classes here but I think I might just stick with home exercise for now.

Yay for your scan tomorrow cupcake I'm sure it will be fine, lots of people get bad MS and only have one baby in there xx

lillamyy1 · 27/08/2014 12:18

Sorry to hear you've been so sick Cupcake Thanks I'm sure everything will be fine at your scan - we'll all have our fx for you!
Siarie my sense of smell is driving me crazy! The first and worst smell to send me rushing to the loo was garlic - I even keep imagining that I can smell it even though we haven't used any and the bulb we've got is wrapped up in a plastic bag!!
I've got my first craving though - for Gregg's!!

Cupcake92 · 27/08/2014 12:33

Thanks Siarie and lilla :)
I'm so so nervous for the scan. I'm glad it's at 9:45am! At least I'm not waiting all day!
Strange having a strong sense of smell. I love garlic atm lilla! Especially garlic bread :)

Siarie · 27/08/2014 14:33

Anyone else dislike the bloating? I look fat, it's really annoying because you know you can't do much about it and everyone is going to think you've been eating too many pies..

21questions · 27/08/2014 15:17

Hi ladies sorry I have been a bit awol. Just catching up with all your news. Find it hard to post on the new style site. Tried to post about 4 times already so apologies if I am repeating myself.

Hope you are all well anyway. I am in the tww. Nothing to report as yet.

Cupcake92 · 27/08/2014 15:20

Siarie I'm extremely bloated! It's awful isn't it. All ur clothes are tight but it's not even a proper baby bump yet. Lol. Joys of pregnancy!

Hi 21! Hope ur okay :) and hope this is ur month!! Fx!

Ducky23 · 27/08/2014 16:17

Cupcake will be thinking of you tomorrow Grin I'm sure baby is fine!

Fingers crossed 21! X
