Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

imps I have never had much in the way of side effects from Suprecur, so don't worry too much. Is it this week you start stimming? Our FET was almost exactly a year ago, teh last full treatment was a few months before that

hinks eeek, weird stalker alert Grin

sparks there is no way you are too overweight to conceive Shock unless you have been photoshopping all your Fb pics Grin

Can I nominate cups and Mrcups for the most tasteful baby announcement ever? I thought it was lovely.

Imps9 · 09/02/2015 12:13

I just had a call from Bourn Hall - I am going to start stimming on Thurs - squeeeeeee! Apparently my AMH is quite high so they hope I will respond well. I have yet to Google what this means.

Beedle glad you've not had side effects either. They made such a big deal about them at the seminar and at my stabbing lesson so it's been quite disconcerting to feel nothing - although I would much rather it that way as long as it's working

Glad you did an FB announcement Cups - you were a bit concerned about doing one initially weren't you?

Pastamancer · 09/02/2015 12:34

Sparks I seriously doubt you are too overweight to conceive, I'm pretty sure I'm the fattest brooker at a size 20 so you should have no problems.

Go Imps! Just remember symptoms = diffed, no symptoms = diffed, sore boobs = diffed, no sore boobs = diffed, AF = diffed, no AF = diffed. I'm sure side effects = working, no side effects = working must be a rule too.

cartoontrickster · 09/02/2015 12:35

Overweight my arse. That is all Wink

Imps, that's brilliant news!!! Exciting times lovely. I too had a high AMH and responded well. You just have to be more on the lookout for hyper stimulation, but plenty of water and protein and you'll be great x

It is so scary Trix. Where on earth have the last ten months gone Shock. We too are in teething hell. Hope it passes soon

Glad you had a good break Far

Little I was thinking of you only yesterday. I still have my lucky pee stick Wink

Empty!!!

Trix, we would've started ages ago if we could try naturally. But because we need the IVF, we know we need to save for it and move house Confused. Which we are no closer to doing Imps

Imps9 · 09/02/2015 17:47

Have you had your smear Sparks? If yes, then get thee shagging immediately! As the old Chinese proverb goes:

"Get the todger out
When pant snot's about".

farfallarocks · 09/02/2015 17:49

Hooray for high AMH!
Mine is down to 2 so awful, gah.

sparkle I sympathise with the bad timing, I am in pant snot territory and DH is away for the next 3 nights, gah

Did you see the consultant at the Lister Far? Did he/she also advise lower doses to preserve egg quality?

cartoontrickster · 09/02/2015 18:11

empty Hmm I have no idea what you mean.
Ah of course maybe bloody money ruins everything. how much is the ivf?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 09/02/2015 18:35

Wow it's a proper reunion in here!

Beedles so so good to see you! Great news on starting your 3rd fresh cycle, fingers crossed it will be your lucky one like mine was. Thanks for the congratulations, it's been a very anxious few months to get to this point. I'm glad you liked the FB announcement, we were worried it was a bit twee but I didn't want to put a scan picture up as I always found that difficult when I was ttc. It was definitely time to come out! I'm in awe of people who manage to keep it off there. I had to delete 2 comments over the weekend on mine and DH's pages that clearly insinuated I was pregnant and I didn't want people to find out that way. How are you doing anyway? Hope you had a nice birthday. I've been so jealous of all your lovely snow pictures!

Imps yay to starting stimming, I always find it flies by when you get to this stage. A high amh is fab, fingers crossed for you. I had lots of side effects from down regging but I've met lots of people who don't. Your just one of the lucky ones!

Maybe I tried to message you back on FB but you'd disappeared, have you gone for good on there? How am I meant to get my cuteness fix without pictures of O and A?? A mutual egg buddy friend of ours (Pramela) messaged me on there asking if I knew where you had gone.

Sparks welcome back! Your gp is an idiot in my opinion, you are defo not too fat to conceive. Well done on losing that weight, you looked fab when I saw you in Birmingham that time. Did it take you a year last time? Hopefully we will be celebrating your BFP soon enough

Far how are you doing? Are you thinking of ivf 2 yet?

Hi to Stacks and Little Grin thanks again for the congratulations. We are very excited it's a little boy, I'm glad we found out. DH surprised me by saying he wanted a girl before our scan, I think he thought a girl would be nice as we have 7 nephews! That said as soon as they told us it was a boy we were just so grateful everything was ok. DH now keeps asking how his boy is and can't wait to dress him in all superhero stuff! We have had a boys name in mind for the whole time we have ttc. I've always loved the name Zack so as long as we don't change our mind then that's what it will be.

Welcome Molotov Smile

Sorry if I've missed anything, I'm on the app so can't look back

Molotov · 09/02/2015 19:45

So many lovely 'hellos'! You're all doing a grand job in making me feel very welcome Smile

Well, today has been one of my famous swing days: where I swing wildly from one extreme to the other: Let's give it a whirl this month/Nope, you're managing the two you have just fine; you'll need to move house, then lose weight all over again. And how will you fit another car seat in that car?

Then my friend who is due in the summer with her dc3 comes over and beams at me and I think Why don't I just go for it?

I think dd1 (almost 6yo) would take or leave another sib, whereas dd2 (almost 3yo) would love one. She's baby mad. I watched 'Muppets Most Wanted' with her the other day and she kept making me rewind the bit where Kermit and Miss. Piggy have their babies in a pram!

I'm in CD5 and the indecision is making me moody/irritable of late. I wish I could be definite one way or the other, rather than being in this weird cycle of uncertainty.

TheLittleFriend · 09/02/2015 21:19

maybe I love that you still have that pee stick! Grin

I've just made a sugarpaste dragon for my brooking baby's birthday cake. Yup, the tripe whammy Friday babies are turning two!

Imps9 · 09/02/2015 21:46

Ohhhhh god bless the tripe whammy babies. 2 already?! How lovely :)

Imps9 · 09/02/2015 21:59

Molotov ohhhhh it's so hard when your brain gets involved. I'm not in quite the same position, although about 2 yrs ago my OH and I decided to stop trying because, quite frankly, we chickened out. We are so happy together and have such a lovely life that we got scared that a baby might ruin that.

Move on a year or so and we decided to go for it: we were prevaricating, but then a lovely friend of mine asked me if I knew anyone who had regretted having their babies. The answer was "no" and I concluded from that that it was extremely unlikely that OH and I would regret having a child, even with the massive changes it would bring.

In my uncertain times I just focus on the question "does anyone ever regret having their children?" and the answer to that usually assures me to go for it.

Morning lovelies!

Think I had my first side effect last night - night sweats. Christ on a bike, I was dripping.

So there's a pleasant thought to start your day with!

Hmmm, Imps, I sympathise - I remember post-CS nightsweats and they were not pleasant!

Molotov · 10/02/2015 18:38

I saw my friends this evening who had a new year 2015 baby ... They have a 7yo, 6yo and a newborn and 3 just looks right. Plus, I love newborns so am coveting the newborn a little!

Then this idyll jars against the reality that is my two bickering girls. I love them so much, but that part can drive me doolally. I want a baby but am worried I'll struggle with 3 bickering children once past the newbie/toddler bit.
