Hi

I am new to mumsnet and just wanted to start a new thread for those who have maybe just started ttc or have been for a while and their goal is to get a bfp before xmas this year.

I have just started ttc and not long off microgynon so waiting to see what happens. Not telling anyone as me and DP want to keep it to ourselves until bfp to avoid any pressure so just looking for some internet friends to chat to!

Thanks for the feedback beccaroo.

Also girly1409 if DTD means what I think it does-first time at it without any protection(?)-I was soooooo nervous! I've been with my husband 6 years and am not a coy person at all with him...I crawled under the covers to take my clothes off and started giggling!

creamhearts · 19/08/2014 21:39

I am jealous of these 28 day cycles, mine are so long (36 days) and I worry that it means something is wrong with me. I am tracking my temps and CM to see when I ovulate but obviously its not worked yet!

Girly1409 · 19/08/2014 21:52

That's so cute Brighteyes I'm so glad it's not just me.

Also had a moment similar to your 'I need a baby NOW' miracle AF. Been terrified of pregnancy and giving birth forever mostly cos I'm terrified of vomiting (#issues). Knew we were planning to start TTC this week and last week I had a lovely taster of the dreaded "morning" sickness. I'm convinced it's my body preparing me for what's to come.

Creamhearts I don't think you should worry. Everyone's cycle is different. Mine are different every month but I know that's normal for me.

idlefolly · 19/08/2014 22:49

Can I join you ladies? I'm 31, DH is 33 and we're TTC #1. I had my implant removed on 08/07 and still waiting for AF before really going for it (6 wks and counting!).

Jcandy · 20/08/2014 15:11

Hi all! Can I join too? I'm 30 and having my mirena out next week and then it's just waiting time I guess. Pregnant by Christmas would be a lovely present Smile I'm trying for my first....... Was anyone just nervous to get started altogether? I'm excited too don't get me wrong!

idlefolly · 20/08/2014 16:43

Hi all, still no AF. It's been six weeks since I had my implant removed, do you think I should be worried?

It's so frustrating because I have had no real signs that I've ovulated (I have been doing OPKs on and off for the last few weeks and had a line a couple of weeks ago - not as dark and the control line but still a line - but no EWCM so I'm not sure if I ovulated or not, and then I did another OPK a few days ago and got the same. A line but not as dark as control...could I have ovulated twice in two weeks with no AF??).
It gets me down as I'm not even sure at this stage if there's any point in DTD as I don't even know if I'm ovulating! Sad

Has anyone else had a similar experience after having their implant removed? Thanks for listening to me vent!!

creamhearts · 20/08/2014 20:05

I have not had an implant removed idle but just wanted to tell you not to worry, I am sure your cycles will sort themselves out soon.

With the ovulation sticks does the line have to be dark for it to be ovulation?

Foxtrot7459 · 20/08/2014 20:11

Can I join too. Ttc #1 since dec 13, mc in June. My personal (and optimistic) aim is a bfp that I can safely tell people about by Christmas, but I will take a bfp before Xmas if offered it now!

beccaroo · 20/08/2014 21:01

I had my implant removed and then went straight on the pill as it wasn't the right time, and my cycles were quite random initially. The doc did tell me I could be ovulating without and periods but if you're worried (and it must be annoying not knowing what's going on) then go and see them. Or just DTD every other day like they tell you to! Wink

Bluebird89 · 20/08/2014 21:20

Idle I'm in pretty much the same boat. Had my implant removed 15/07 and no AF yet. It is so frustrating not knowing what's going on. Don't know about you but I didn't have any bleeding whilst my implant was in either so not a clue re my cycle length. I read on another thread it took someone 10 weeks to get their first AF. FX for both of us she arrives soon

idlefolly · 20/08/2014 21:53

Cream, Becca, Blueburd, thank you for taking the time to reply.

I need to relax about it all I know.
Cream, thanks for your thoughtful words.
Bluebird, it's so frustrating isn't it! Keep me posted on your situation! FX AF arrives soon for both of us so we can get ourselves organised and start making babies! Smile

idlefolly · 20/08/2014 22:33

Bluebird, I didn't bleed once for the duration of my first implant but had a week-long bleed not long after having the new one fitted, and then again earlier this year when it would have been in around 2 years. Both times it was only very light and not like a proper period. Before I had the implant (5 yrs) I was on the pill for 10 yrs so I have absolutely no idea how long my cycle is!! When I think about it like that I'm not surprised it's taking a while to get started again!

creamhearts · 21/08/2014 19:11

I am worried that I am not ovulating, I am trying to track my CM but I don't seem to have what the books say I should. Trying not to worry but it is hard. I am worried that I am too overweight to ovulate but I am trying to lose weight.

squiish · 21/08/2014 20:12

Creamhearts I feel the same about cm, haven't noticed the Ewcm that should have been prior to my temp increase, but is figured it could still have been there but I didn't notice/find it!? Here's hoping Grin
8dpo on CD 27/28 (not sure when last period actually started! Doh) so AF could arrive any day..... Hmm

creamhearts · 21/08/2014 20:26

Lots of luck to you squiish I hope that AF doesn't show. I am temping as well so hopefully that will show I am ovulating. It is so hard not to worry though!

StrawberryCheese · 21/08/2014 21:40

Well it looks like this cycle won't bring us any luck as DH has been told he needs to go away for work, just at the time when we need to DTD :( maybe I should just book time off work any follow him ;)

sabzh · 21/08/2014 21:57

Hi ladies mind of I join too? Congrats to those who got their BFP's! Im 31 and ttc#1 for 3years now . MC in January whilst on chlomid. Im 8dpiui and getting all signs for AF but this time I have been experiencing lower back pains for longer than usual. Im hoping it works first time round and like many I have been driving myself crazy symptom spotting. ..this 2 week wait is agonising! But glad to see im not the only one! Has anyone had any similar stories to mine or know of anyone who has been?
Now ive written this AF will probably arrive tomorrow. Isnt sods law a b*h! Good luck to you all xx

sabzh · 21/08/2014 22:00

StrawberryCheese - sounds like a very good plan!

Baffers100 · 22/08/2014 11:31

Hi Ladies,

I'm a newbie here! My DH and I decided we really wanted to TTC, so I came off the pill (Gederal) one week in to my next pack. We've strated cracking on (!) straight away, and I am so hoping I get pregnant quickly

I know when I ovulate as I can feel it (I get bad Mittelschmerz pains). Annoyingly now, (must be 4 DPO, and about a week after stopping the pill) I've started bleeding. I was hoping it's implantation bleeding but it's probably withdrawal due to coming off BC :(

Not sure when I should test if this is a withdrawal bleed. May just leave until October, but I really want baby news to share by Christmas!

beccaroo · 22/08/2014 11:58

Welcome baffers! I guess things can be a bit topsy turvy when you come off the pill but I'm sure you'll become regular soon.

My update is that I am cd30 now and still no AF - have had 4 cycles since off the pill all 28-29 days. I don't feel pregnant at all and am expecting awful morning sickness as my mum had it. Tested yesterday, BFN, so waiting a bit longer but it's driving me nuts! Only month 1 of ttc...how long can I do this?! Confused

Baffers100 · 22/08/2014 12:42

I know what you mean. I'm second guessing everything at the moment!

My SIL got pregnant while taking the pill, and to make it worse she doesn't even really want a baby (she went in to hiding and only told the family when 7 months preg!). Makes it all seem a bit unfair really!

SmileyScooby · 22/08/2014 13:48

Hi all, I too would like a BFP before Christmas, am 31 and ttc#1. Have got fingers crossed for September BFP as things have happened at the right time this month according to fertility friend app! Not doing ovulation packs etc just recording AF and when we DTD. I was on microgynon for 9 years and then doctors changed me to rigivedon (apparently same as microgynon just cheaper...) until I stopped in January, have had AF every month so far on a fairly regular cycle so have had 7 cycles not really trying and this is first cycle of trying with bit more thought (well on my part anyway hehe) also not telling anyone trying etc

sabzh · 22/08/2014 15:34

Some people make it seem so easy to concieve its unfair :(

MaGratgarlik1983 · 22/08/2014 15:42

Hi everyone, can I join in? I'm 31, ttc#1, and currently in cycle 2 (CD33) Last month was so hard when AF showed, I'd convinced myself I was pregnant on the first cycle trying and felt so gutted when she showed up! We're trying not to tell anyone either but it sort of slipped out in a conversation with my Mom! Have just started temping as well so I can be sure I ovulate and when! GL all - baby dust to everyone!!

FreckleBee · 22/08/2014 19:09

I'm currently fighting the urge to go on a pee stick buying spree...I've had a uti for the past few days and feeling nauseous...I'm convincing myself it means I'm pg but really I know it's the uti. Got a bfn when at the GP on Wednesday but I'm thinking "that was two days ago"...
Actually writing this has helped me see how silly I am being!
How soon can I test? The GP said 3 weeks but I know that's nonsense right?!
