Hi

I am new to mumsnet and just wanted to start a new thread for those who have maybe just started ttc or have been for a while and their goal is to get a bfp before xmas this year.

I have just started ttc and not long off microgynon so waiting to see what happens. Not telling anyone as me and DP want to keep it to ourselves until bfp to avoid any pressure so just looking for some internet friends to chat to!

Hi ladies. I'm new to this too and hoping for Christmas conception! Been ttc since may, but dh wasn't really up for it then. Now he's as desperate as I am for our first and we've been actively trying since June/July. I've now really got a sense of my cycle since coming off the rod in march. I have a period tracker app which I use to help me pinpoint ovulation etc. Everyone I know tell me their men just had to look at them and they fell pregnant - including my mother! Now I'm getting myself upset because I'm worried I've ruined my chances of good fertility by being on the pill and the jag and the rod since I was 16 (I'm now 28). Every month I find myself symptom spotting and getting let down by evil af. This month I thought we had it because we were bd every night for 4 nights up to o day and after.... Now we're taking supplements to try and help. I'm just wondering, is it too early to go to doc? I'm now on cd 1 today :'(

I'll join in if I may...was on depo injection for a few years, then had the implant which I had taken out in August. One initial very heavy AF, then very light for the last two months, seemingly regular. First month ttc, due on in a few days. Hoping for a bfp before xmas!

idle - such good news! You must be so relieved that there were no PCOS signs, hopefully now you've had AF you'll settle back into a rhythm.

Still no AF for me. Hmm its been just over 3 months now. Got the results of my blood tests on Friday - everything was "normal" so I guess that's it and I just have to keep waiting...Confused So bored of looking in my knickers every time I go to the loo hahaha!

Hello to all the newbies and good luck to everyone! Smile

How is everyone doing? anyone have any news? xxx

idlefolly · 20/11/2014 15:19

Hi PP! No significant news from me. I had a second blood test and my LH levels were almost half what they were the first time, so it looks like I was ovulating at that time. I think I ovulated on Monday, which would have been CD37 so although my cycle seems to be really long, something is happening. I'm so relieved I don't have PCOS and do think now that my body is just taking a while to adjust.
Any developments with you?

idlefolly · 20/11/2014 15:22

I meant to ask PP, are you charting your temp? You might still be ovulating even without AF (my friend hadn't had AF for months due to stress and she got a BFP) and charting would help you find out. I think I've had a thermal shift the last two days which would fit in with ovulating on Monday. xxx

Hi babybelle1 :)

i've been off Microgynon since March, TTC #2 for 9 months now, still no luck :( although, i am over-due my AF by a day so fingers crossed my AF decides not to suprise me a week or 2 late this time (i think i'm irregular, one month i'm normal for a few months, then it's all gone pete tong again)

Baby dust! Let's all stick together & hope to get BFP's for Christmas! Best present i can think of.. x

idlefolly · 29/11/2014 18:34

Hi ladies, I have news! I got my BFP this morning! I'm tentatively excited and can't quite believe it. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that all will be ok. Good luck to you all, I can't wait to hear your good news. x Grin

Thank you Bluebird and penguin! I still can't quite believe it given all the stress I had with my cycle. I did stop obsessing though so maybe I was more relaxed. I definitely recommend Taking Charge or Your Fertility if you haven't read it as it enabled me to identify when I ovulated (CD36 or 37 time) without doing any OPKs. We also used pre-seed that time but don't know if that had anything to do with it. I'm so nervous about getting excited as it's v early days still.
I do recommend temping though penguin, it will give you a better insight into your body and cycle. Maybe you should ask for an ultrasound scan to rule out PCOS? At least you'd then know what you're dealing with? Try taking Maca powder, flaxseed etc... Too. I've got my fingers crossed for you all. xxx
