TTC #1 hoping for BFP before xmas.

I am new to mumsnet and just wanted to start a new thread for those who have maybe just started ttc or have been for a while and their goal is to get a bfp before xmas this year.

I have just started ttc and not long off microgynon so waiting to see what happens. Not telling anyone as me and DP want to keep it to ourselves until bfp to avoid any pressure so just looking for some internet friends to chat to!

has anyone tested on night and got bfn then tested in morning and got a faint bfp ?

My AF is due 25th August, is that when I should be testing? Or should I be waiting until the week after? x

amy1492 I have seen on other threads people who have got bfn and next day have a bfp so definitely can happen. Would try again tomorrow and see if line gets darker.

teeniedeenie I think around 14 day after ovulation should give an accurate enough result. I am still trying to get to grips with all this ttc myself.

Teenie, babybelle, strawberrycheese - I also stopped takng the pill in July (loestrin 30) and I've been in much the same position! Early pregnancy symptoms- I felt so unwell two weeks ago I went to my doctor, who told me it could possibly be early pregnancy but to wait 10 days to test! So it's firmly in my mind I 'could' be pregnant, but i know im probably not. My AF is due today, I've been having lightly pink discharge and one small spot of blood yesterday morning and nothing since- today is the day my doctor told me to test. I'll wait it out for today and see if it appears, and maybe test tomorrow. I've had BFN already but it would have been too early to tell, and my doctor told me not to so I did anyway ;-) I'd love to be pregnant by Christmas. Good luck to everyone!

I've been TTC since April, and a BFP by Christmas would be amazing (one by Oct would be even better, so that I don't have to come up with convoluted reasons for why I'm not drinking over Christmas!).

So to add to my already large list of symptoms, I had loose bowels last night after a week of being constipated and this morning my nipples are sore. Trying hard not to symptom spot all the time but it's very difficult when I don't feel right in myself!

I'm 31, TTC#1 and very much want to before Christmas! I'm on cycle 2, had a very late AF last cycle and the hope this created made me realise how much I want this!

Hi I'm really sorry to hijack this thread as I'm already pregnant and actually due at xmas but I just wanted to say good luck as I remember ttc and joining posts like this, symptom checking and generally being completely obsessed for a while! Also had a chemical pregnancy back in Feb so remember the highs and lows of all this.

How is everyone getting on? Any testing over the weekend? How did you get on chickadee87, did you test yesterday?

My boobs, especially my nipples have gotten very sensitive and sore over the past 3 days, I've also had lots of watery cm yesterday and today. All of these symptoms point to either AF or bfp. AF due 24/25th I think so may try a frer next Sunday morning.

Hi, may I join? TTC dc2 since May. So now on cycle # 4. Expecting ovulation any day, using an app and just got some ovulation sticks this month, which I don't know if I will stick with, I'm wondering if its making it all more complicated than it should be! But was so disappointed last month when AF came, so purchased some tools to help in the journey to BFP! Would love a BFP before Christmas! Good luck everyone

Welcome mussushb I haven't tried ovulation sticks, I am trying to just keep it fun and simple just now but let me know how you get on with them as is something I would definitely consider if it becomes a struggle.

No BFP for me yet! I beleive I have just had an extremely light period, which is a good thing as that hopefully means my cycles have restored quickly with a 27 day cycle! So onto cycle #2. Ov due around 27th August if my body behaves!

We're TTC #1 and would love it to happen before Christmas. 5 weeks post implant removal and no AF as yet. Will be glad when she comes so I can work out my cycles.

TTC #1, just turned 30 DP is 29... I've been ready to become a mum for sooo long and he has just recently caught up with me and suggested we get on it! Very excited and hopeful!

Still no AF for me but I've had two BFNs now and I definitely feel she's on her way. I think I've made myself late with the power of my mind! Yet another good reason not to obsessively symptom spot

Ah sorry to hear that chickadee, you said AF was very light, is there no chance it could be implantation?

I have to say I'm not getting my hopes up too much, am more than aware that most of my symptoms are also extremely similar to cycle#1 AF after coming off bcp so I will just have to wait it out and see what happens. But you just never know... Plan to test on Sunday if still no AF then take it from there.

Hi all, just thought I'd update to say that I got a BFP over the weekend.

I'm absolutely worried sick after my MC in June and am just praying that this is a sticky bean. Hopefully I'll be able to relax a bit soon enough? Feeling so very lucky to have caught again so soon after MC but I am quite frankly, terrified.
