Hi

I am new to mumsnet and just wanted to start a new thread for those who have maybe just started ttc or have been for a while and their goal is to get a bfp before xmas this year.

I have just started ttc and not long off microgynon so waiting to see what happens. Not telling anyone as me and DP want to keep it to ourselves until bfp to avoid any pressure so just looking for some internet friends to chat to!

Hi ladies! hoping to join you all and put my name down for BFP before xmas.

It will happen ... must think positive!

TTCno1 since January. Long-ish regular cycles until most recent cycle of 69 days just to irritate matters.

Today CD1, fresh start! BFP due 15th October. Good luck everyone!

creamhearts · 09/09/2014 16:13

FX for everyone testing, baffers I would test now tbh but I do like to test!!

CD1 for me :( Onwards and upwards, my cycle was only 33 days this month. Temping really helped me this month, my temp went right down today and I just knew I was due on, I am sad of course but hopeful for next month.

scienceteachergeek · 09/09/2014 22:18

Hi guys.

Firstly let me wish you all luck for BFPs before Christmas. I'm in my 2nd month TTC. I came off BC July2013 and waited 12months before even trying. Just wondered how many are using ovulation tests? Just wondering if there's a point in making the effort as last month it had no effect. All thoughts welcome :)

Freedom40 · 09/09/2014 23:34

sciencegeek i decided to take the plunge and spend money on opk just because im not disciplined enough to temp. And because i am hoping to increase my odds. A dew mumsneter are using preseed or per conception lube but think I'll wait 1 more month till i go there.

scienceteachergeek · 10/09/2014 17:28

Thanks freedom40 I had never heard of this preseed...I'll have a look into it. I thought I was trying everything...clearly not :)

Baffers100 · 11/09/2014 09:15

Ah, did a test and got a BFN, so a bit onfused as to why I was having really bad cramps. Ho hum, suppose I've got to sit it out and wait for AF to show up!

I did manage to get 2 early detection pregnancy tests for £1 in Poundland though! Certainly cheaper than all the ones in Boots!

Thepurplegiraffe · 11/09/2014 09:21

Hi all
Just wanted to say thanks for all the congrats. No sign of any symptoms yet so I'm hoping all is well.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that you all get bfps soon!

Thepurplegiraffe · 11/09/2014 09:22

Baffers my first test was bfn and that was after my af was due.

TheDalek · 11/09/2014 19:16

So AF came early by two days, normally I have a regular as clockwork cycle. Brew

scienceteachergeek · 11/09/2014 20:11

Anyone else found this? I've always had CM that has gone through all its various stages of thickness but ever since ttc it has vanished! Nothing! No CM at all, at any point during the month! Any ideas folks? x

StrawberryCheese · 12/09/2014 21:16

I am three days late so far. I poas four days ago with the superdrug early test but it came back negative. I think I will just have to wait a bit longer for AF to appear. I thought it was on its way because my usual symptoms were there (spotty and IBS flares up) but then nothing!

Bluebird89 · 15/09/2014 06:28

Sorry science, not sure. I'm just trying to get my head round what it's supposed to look like at the different stages.

Have you poas again strawberry?

Idle AF arrived yet? Really hope she has

idlefolly · 15/09/2014 09:12

Still no sign Bluebird. 10 weeks tomorrow. HmmConfusedHmm

PrincessPenguin · 15/09/2014 10:38

Me neither, Idle - still no AF for me and I had my implant out about 6 weeks ago now, so am a few weeks behind you but know how you feel! Hmm

StrawberryCheese · 15/09/2014 12:33

I think AF has arrived, sort of! It's very light, it tends to be light anyway but even more so this time. I hear people talk about implantation bleeding but I'm not sure if I could tell the difference. If AF doesn't amount to much more over the next day or two then I'm going to buy another test.

idle and princess I hope your bodies wake up soon!

idlefolly · 15/09/2014 14:24

Thanks Strawberry. I hope so too, I have been waiting long enough!

FX for your bfp.

Thepurplegiraffe · 15/09/2014 15:53

Hi all
I might join you all again if that's ok. After alot of bleeding over the weekend I have had it confirmed today that I have had a miscarriage. All being well it seems to be a pretty straightforward one so I will be straight back on it. I really want a successful bfp before Xmas!

Hope everyone is doing ok?

PrincessPenguin · 15/09/2014 16:11

So sorry to hear that, Purple Flowers. FX for another BFP for you before too long.

Thanks, Strawberry - me too!

Baffers100 · 16/09/2014 12:00

Oh purple sorry to hear that. Hope you're ok xx

pinkie1982 · 16/09/2014 12:38

I'd like to join :)
I am 31 and TTC#1. Came off of the pill on September 6th, had withdrawal AF which finished yesterday.
I have been on the pill for 16 years so no idea what my cycle was like beforehand. I went on the pill as my perioids made me really unwell so a little worried about what is to come.
So here we go. Good luck to ALL!

Thepurplegiraffe · 16/09/2014 19:01

Thanks all. I'm ok. Much better physically just trying to get my head round it. And really keen to get going again!

Bluebird89 · 16/09/2014 19:42

How frustrating for you both Idle and Princess, hope your bodies get on board soon.

I'm so sorry Purple, glad you are feeling ok though and looking forward to trying again.

Welcome Pinkie, fingers crossed for your bfp

Bit frustrated over here as now that my body is getting itself sorted out DP has decided maybe we should hold off TTC. We've been discussing TTC for well over a year so not really sure where this has come from but doesn't look like I'll be getting that BFP before Christmas after all.

pinkie1982 · 16/09/2014 20:20

Awww bluebird sorry to hear he has made that decision. It must have got too much for him. I hope he discussed his reasons with you xx

Thepurplegiraffe · 16/09/2014 20:43

Sorry to hear that Bluebird, any chance of talking him round?

StrawberryCheese · 16/09/2014 22:57

Thanks for you purple
What are your DP's reasons bluebell?

Well AF is definitely here with a vengeance now, I think it was just teasing me! So no luck for me here yet.
