The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Big love to you beaky I'm so sorry.

Will catch up properly later as just standing outside a baby shop whilst pg friend and another (most like pg but not saying yet) friend browse for ages.

Pipbin · 01/11/2014 16:35

Oh no Beaky that is dreadful. I would be utterly heart broken.

Gillster · 01/11/2014 17:23

Oh Beaky that's so sad, sending you hugs.

That doesn't sound ideal Tiger.

WildflowerMarmalade · 01/11/2014 17:31

So very sorry to hear your news beaky , poor little precious puppy. It's heartbreaking to say goodbye to our little furry friends. You just love them so much.

I was devastated when our little kitten was killed on the road a few years ago. Holding a little funeral ceremony in the garden did help though. Maybe find a way to mark her life and friendship. Lots of love and Thanks to you lovely beaky.

tigerdog · 01/11/2014 18:39

Just catching up properly on the chatter i have missed. Great news on the fertilisations pip and smidge Smile

Hope you're doing ok beaky Flowers a strongly worded letter of complaint sounds like a plan. I want to know why whoever is responsible for dishing out the babies is giving all my friends another one when I don't even have one yet! No fair.

I also might try the protein shake lumen so thanks for the recipe. Another berry craze started!

wild I'm also feeling ropey after excessive prosecco consumption last night then a drive down to London and a busy day shopping, eating and having a manicure! Great day but I'm feeling bad about drinking too much.

Oh yes, another vote for Worcester Bosch boilers from me - our gas bills are so low!

bushy I pay my card off in full by direct debit each month - solves the problem of when to pay entirely!

Despite a lovely day am feeling a little glum right now- too much talk of babies and a hangover to berate myself for. Need to pull myself together and stop comparing myself to others!

HampshireBlues · 02/11/2014 08:42

Beaky I'm so sorry to hear your news about your pup. It's devastating when we lose a fury friend who is so part of the family.

Jelliebabe2 · 02/11/2014 09:43

Beaky. I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Having a little cry here for you. Your pup was well loved and you've had some lovely cuddles recently with the fireworks going off. Hugs Sad

Here here to a letter of complaint. I think we should address it to the shit fairy. She's probably in charge of broken lady bits and broken boilers too. Beeeyatch!

Smidge - cmon embies! They sound great! Good luck for transfer!

lumen · 02/11/2014 10:02

Sorry to hear your news beaky, big hugs your way.

I think a letter if complaint is definitely on the cards, maybe to the stork who keeps missing out the berries?

Your shopping trip did not sound like fun tiger.

We have two couples coming for lunch today with their three boys between them who are all under three Hmm. Looking forward to seeing them all but feeling very swollen in the ovary region (good sign I know) and I could have done with a lie in rather than getting up early to boil a ham ready for roasting and roasting a chicken! Hoping for a relaxing afternoon/evening after they have gone in a lovely tidy house (which my dh is currently vac'ing and polishing) Wink

Happy Sunday berries x

Jelliebabe2 · 02/11/2014 10:02

Pip - I can't see back but did you get any update on your eggies?

In fact I can't see back to many of your posts as there has been masses and I'm posting on the tablet!

I had my follow up on Friday, we had a great consult. I think the Dr was surprised that he didn't have to persuade us to go for donor treatment but also that we'd already joined the list! We really just went through the finer details and went through the massive list of questions I had! He didn't recommend any further tests and even poo poohed the idea of a scratch. He says a recent study on just donor cycles came out with no difference between pregnancies with or without. We then saw the coordinator for a quick chat, she was being coy, but has something. in the pipeline for end of January! She should be able to confirm this week! So should have donor details soon! I hope its a good match, don't want to wait any longer.

So that's three months to drop lbs and continue to get fighting fit! Very excited still! I've been working out due dates this morning! I know I know stupid (but I can't help it!)

Dropped in to see my mum yesterday, told her all about it and the second ivf etc. She was fine with us not telling her. She also offered money. But then said well I'm saving up to buy your brother a boiler! His is very old you know. Slightly cross really but can't articulate it properly. Probably something along the lines of stop sponging off my mother you complete leech! He's 43 for god sake get a bloody job. Oh maybe I CAN put it into words after all. Angry. I'm bleeding myself dry here and both working hard full time just gets my goat.

Anyway. Did I mention how excited I am? I'm going to be bloody impossible by January! ??

Smidge001 · 02/11/2014 11:30

Oh beaky that is sad. I'm so sorry.

lumen your house sounds like the place to be today. Spic and span and an epic feast on the way. You sound very in control - clearly batting away any drug induced emotional side effects like a super human. In fact I am now imagining you all organised, glass of wine, a big farmhouse table and cartoon like sudden flights and judo moves batting away any sign of a side effect using an apron as a cape. Grin

Letter of complaint is fast collecting co-authors. At the end of my rant I shall let them know all will be forgiven if they just let this next one work... and maybe a sibling hmm and a sibling (ignore the crossing out!!)

Very exciting news jellie you must be thrilled to have this move so quickly all of a sudden! Can't wait for an update when they get back to you. Oh and thanks for cheering my embies on.. Transfer due in 11.5 hours (not that I'm counting) Smile

chloechloe · 02/11/2014 16:22

Hey ladies. Just wanted to say that I've been lurking and am rooting for all of you, especially those of you cycling at the mo. Good luck with ET tomorrow smidge and pipbin too. Fingers crossed EC goes well lumen, hope this is the one! Sorry about your puppy beaky, am gutted for you. Hi and good luck to everyone else, I'm thinking of you all.

Gillster · 02/11/2014 16:29

That sounds like really positive news Jellie about donor eggs. My friend in RL who is 42 used donor eggs and is due to give birth in the next couple of weeks! How many eggs did you get on your own and how did they progress?

Trillium73 · 02/11/2014 17:56

Hello berries, I've been lurking for ages but never had the courage to post. You all seem so lovely and supportive, can I join you? I'm 41, been ttc since March 2013, endo with one completely blocked tube and one kinked with adhesions. I had a mmc many moons ago with a different partner. We have just started a self funded round of IVF. Day four of stimms and so far so good! I'm trying to contain my excitement as I know the stats for my age group aren't great but I'm really hoping that it works.

HampshireBlues · 02/11/2014 18:32

Welcome Trillium you are definitely in the right place. Hope that the swimming is going well and you are not feeling too bloated. I can't believe that you have gotten this far without posting!

Smidge am keeping everything crossed for you for ET tomorrow will be thinking sticky thoughts (we, that sounds so wrong)

Jellie good news ont he donor eggs! I hope that they find a good match

Just collected my ARBONNE goodies from the courtiers; a friend recommended them so thuought I'd give them a go. I have been doing shakes for a few weeks but using dairy alternatives so looking forward to adding the shakes and greens that I have bought.

Pipbin · 02/11/2014 18:36

Hi Trillium. If you have any IVF questions then please feel free to ask, either here or PM. The whole process can be very daunting.

Pipbin · 02/11/2014 18:38

I'm 39 and on round three BTW

Gillster · 02/11/2014 18:41

Hi Trillium, welcome to the Berries. I am especially delighted that you've joined as I am no longer the oldest (40)! Grin

Which protocol are you doing? Have you had any scans yet? It is all go in Berry HQ now.

Had to laugh at HB's post - I imagine she meant "stimming" and not "swimming". Hope the side effects have been fairly minimal so far.

Pipbin · 02/11/2014 18:53

I've got gestone injections this time. 2 inch needles in your bum!!

Trillium73 · 02/11/2014 19:08

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I'm so glad I posted! Yay!

gillster I laughed at swimming too! I think I'm long protocol, prostap on day 21, scan and bloods 2 weeks later which showed everything was nice and 'quiet' so started pergoveris 300/150 iu the next day. Go back on Friday for scan and bloods. EC will be the 10th at the earliest. No real side effects, a bit headachy but OK.

pipbin wow! Three rounds! How are your embies today?

HB do Arbonne do make up and skin care as well? I think I've heard of them but not sure.

Trillium73 · 02/11/2014 19:09

And I don't mind being the oldest!Grin

HampshireBlues · 02/11/2014 19:42

Damn auto correct! Stim not swim!

Yes Arbonne do makeup and skincare, it's meant to be all organic, vegan and good for you. Luckily DH hasn't asked how much I spent....

Pip holey moley I'll take the bum bullets any day .(although I can live without the bloating, constipation and wind!

Pipbin · 02/11/2014 19:59

The injections really don't hurt that much Hampshire

Trill No news on the embryos today as the clinic is closed on a Sunday. Is it odd that I don't like the thought of them being there all alone?

My top tip Trill is to drink plenty of fluid every day to stave off hyper stimulation. I had that on round one and it was bloody horrid.

Trillium73 · 02/11/2014 20:37

Don't think it's strange Pip! My clinic has just started a 7 day service which I'm very happy about!

My consultant said that it would be very unlikely that I would be over stimulated but I do find that drinking more helps with the headaches. Did you feel really tired while stimming? I napped for two hours yesterday and was still able to sleep last night. Not like me at all!

lumen · 02/11/2014 21:14

Woah busy in here today.

Welcome trill and best of luck with your IVF. I am on my second round so as pip said feel free to ask questions. The hydration is key I have found to feeling better whilst cycling.

Best of luck tomorrow with your transfer smidge, will get the Pom poms out for the implantation dance!

Grrr, my mind has gone blank on who else has posted and what I wanted to say (on phone as usual) so hi to all. Meal with mates went fine, one couple have no idea about the IVF and made no comments about our lack of kids for a change and the other couple know all the details so it ended up being a lovely day. Hoping for proper size follies in the morning so I can trigger tomorrow night, just hopefully not too late as staying up for 9pm jabbing what was I thinking doing stimms that late has been a struggle tonight.

Night night all.

Trillium73 · 02/11/2014 21:40

Thanks lumen. Glad you had a good day. Sleep well and good luck for your scan tomorrow!

I haven't met you yet smidge but I hope your transfer goes well tomorrow.

Nite note all Smile
