Anyone got pregnant with no.1 very quickly bit struggling with no.2?

Hello,

Was just wondering whether anybody has had a similar experience?

When trying for first child got pregnant the first month, however that ended in MC. Luckily I got pregnant again with DD after first month of trying again.

DD is now three, we would have started TTC sooner but I went back I Uni and I'm due to finish in November.

We have been trying for 5 months and no luck, worried that I've left it too late as I'm now 37.

Little- glad all went ok today. Get on ot and good luck for this month eapecially as your about to ov. X every thing crossed.
Bobsy- how many days in to your cycle areyou? Im wondering I you are on the brink of ov in nexy couple of days...

Thanks little it was only on Monday that the lines matched previous to that & since then the test lane has been fainter, but my CB was negative on Monday & tonight. I'm hoping to get him to DTD tonight & I'm still going to test tomorrow. X

Cd32 here and poas=bfn.no sign of AF but guessing on month no.6 now. My dd was conceived in month 6 ironically the same month(dec)

alien fx then, but it's not over til AF arrives. I got pregnant the same month with both as well - so this one, if all goes well, is due 2 weeks after DS's birthday.

That's funny Hazle, mine is also due the same month as DS, 3 days after his 3rd birthday in fact!
Bobsy I often get a temp dip the day before the spike (so day of ov I guess) so could be that. I would assume everything is still to play for until you see the raised temp though, opks can be misleading!
Little that all sounds like great news, but I can understand you feeling a bit flat. Like ginger I didn't see why cycle 14 should be any different to the previous 13 failed attempts but it was, sometimes there is just no rationalising ttc! Frustrating I know, but as you now know that all is well, you're about to ov and your tubes have had a clear out try to have confidence that this is the month!

Mister I forgot when you got your BFP, what's your due date?

Im with you mister stay possitive ladies. It might just be one of our months. I also fell pregnant in dec with ds1. Its a popular month. Must be shit telly and naff all else to do. Haha

So, by my reckoning, I'll be ovulating Sunday/Monday ish but we're staying with a friend from Friday through to Tuesday. Not sure how best to ttc on someone else's bed..... Not ideal, that's for sure! Maybe we'll have to wait until next month.

I'm on CD14 and still getting a high on my monitor but no peak so now I'm panicking that I'm not OV and yes I know that's not really rational.

little I'm with you we are going to stay with my dad this weekend so sod's law say's that is when I will Ov and we have been doing SMEP up till now as well....... shall we just go for it anyway I won't tell if you don't!

loves, I got my highs on days 18-19 before soy, and 16-17 with soy.

Hazle by LMP it's 3rd July but I think actually about the 10th due to late ovulation.

I would never let a little thing like staying with the in-laws / friends get in the way of ttc! As long as you're not sharing a room with them not a problem imo In fact on another thread I was on there were 3 bfps in a month all from ladies who had been staying with parents or in-laws at the time. I was most put out not to be knocked up after our holiday with MIL this summer

so your son's birthday is 30th of June? Mine is born on 29th :)
My due date would be about mid-July, but I think second ones tend to be earlier? DS was a week late.

Mister My temp dipped slightly yesterday morning but has today only risen to what it was before the dip. Anyway I'm going to test again shortly, but I do think ov was yesterday, I suppose I'll know tomorrow if my temp rises again. We did manage to DTD last night

thanks all :) I think I'm also pretty annoyed about the cycles not being regular. If it was 28-32 days each month I'll be over the moon with that! If this one is 35 then that's obviously my new cycle length and I'll just text if it goes pass 35. I managed to find my old threads on here from 3+ years go and my cycles were 28-32 days then.
My dd was conceived NYE haha drunkeness dancing around our tiny cottage living room & some more fun ;)= pregnancy . Literally to the day her dob is 28/9!!

Bobsy hmm, sorry you're still having ov issues. I don't know much about the temp ups and downs either but I would guess that you have ov'd already, and amazing news that you managed to get OH to dtd last night! What CD are you on now? What did the test say this morning?
Alien grr for you. Late AF and bfn is just horrid. Hope she shows her face soon so you can get on with cycle 6, or even better you get a bfp! Ooh that would be weird, three of you conceiving in the same month as with DC1....
As for me, we conceived DD in February, so completely different this time round. If I am indeed pregnant I couldn't bring myself to do a digi this morning, want to just wait and see now if AF is going to arrive today, and do it tomorrow or fri morning. I'm just struggling to believe I am actually pregnant and am convinced it's going to end in a chemical. Should never have tested before AF was due!!!!
loves when you do you normally ov? I would also say as long as you're not in a room with someone else, get shagging girls! Pretend you're teenagers again and have a good giggle over it

Ginger I'm now on CD17 which is the day I got my positive last cycle, but used 2 strip OPK's this morning (using same wee) and tests line were barely there so they've got fainter day by day. With temps they say you can dip on day of ov (which I did yesterday but not by much) the spike after ov but only went up to what it was before possible ovulation. I still had EWCM today as well & I keep prodding my boobs as I usually get first niggle of soreness at 1dpo. I'm tempted to test again using my final CB strip I have left. So I'm still a bit confused about it all! How are you feeling?

Ha! Loving your support on the "illicit" ttc. I seem to be more concerned about the... erm .... residue? I know I can take the sheets off and put in the wash for her when we leave, but won't it soak through to the sofabed matress?! Am I over thinking this?!

Over here, not much to report, worrying all the time as usual. Can't say I have any symptoms really, but didn't have much with DS either.

Im not due to test till 24th. If I can hold off thst long. Only sypmt I had with ds1 was cramping,which doc thought was implantation. X good luck with the towel.

Well I don't think I've ov'd this cycle, I think my body geared up to do it but didnt. My boobs have started to hurt which means AF is on her way, why would I think this cycle is any different than the other 20!!

What do you make of this?
