A group of lovely ladies who've seen it all

Joy how are you doing? Thinking of you.

joycep · 14/10/2014 17:23

Thank you all so much for reassurance. Decided I couldn't wait with this bleeding and cramping and Found a walk in epu which stupidly is part of my clinic and incredibly all is fine. I can't believe it and so so thankful. They couldn't find reason for bleeding. But it's twins again and this time they are measuring on target unlike previous pregnancy. Many mountains to climb but one day at a time.

berrygoround · 14/10/2014 18:04

Just a quick phone post but joy I am so pleased and relieved for you!

Cosmonaut1 · 14/10/2014 18:19

Oh Joy! Amazing amazing news. I have everything crossed. Oh that's made my day.

WittgensteinsBunny · 14/10/2014 18:22

Oh joy, that's such amazing news. I've been too scared to post, in case I said something inappropriate. I'm so effing chuffed for you. And twins too, double wow! Willing everything to be ok and smoother for the rest of the pregnancy.

Waves and love to everyone else

raydown · 14/10/2014 18:31

Joy :) :) I'm soooooo happy for you. I'd been thinking of you all day.

Waves to everyone. I'm still very much in the tent, feeling all doom and gloom. I will post again when I emerge from under the canvas.

MuddyWellyNelly · 14/10/2014 18:56

Oh Joy Grin. Actual proper true Joy here for you!!! That is amazing wonderful bloody brilliant news. I am so happy!

In more mundane news, AF is here. So off to email Penny. Eek.

pocopearl · 14/10/2014 19:19

Hi all! I have been tring for 13 months for number 2 :(

sarlat · 14/10/2014 19:23

Joy sweetheart, I am soooo thrilled. I know it's such early days but all sounds so positive. That double rainbow ay............?? Yes Critter was right about the sub chorionic haematoma - not that unusual and often the cause of bleeding at this stage. Hold on tight Joy - this is your time to walk in the sun.

Ray - I'm so sorry you are in the tent - utter rubbish and beyond yucky. Thinking of you, things will feel lighter and brighter very soon I promise. There really is so much hope for you two. Passing Jamaica Cake and custard under the tent flap.

Newbies -welcome and please do stay. This is a great thread and a fantastic bunch of ladies. I have been lucky and gave birth 9months a go. But prior to that had a mc and 3 years of ttc, tried everything and it was a surgical repair of fallopian tube adhesions which allowed me to conceive in the end. So for those waiting for surgery, take heart, this can be the answer for some of us.

foxinorangesocks · 14/10/2014 20:01

No time to catch up but joy SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

eurochick · 14/10/2014 21:48

Joy, that's amazing. :) I had lunch with my friend today. She, like you, miscarried after cycling at the Argy. She went elsewhere, took the least drugs of any of her rounds and is now 25 weeks. I am thrilled for her.

eurochick · 14/10/2014 21:58

(NB I do have more than one friend.)

FluffyNut · 14/10/2014 23:13

Really good news Joy, so excited for you. we are off for our first consultation and nurses appointment for the planning. I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. I had visions of it all being done with a bun in the oven for xmas, but reading the forums i think it's more likely the new year. ah well, i'll know more after tomorrow. now to try to get some sleep!

joycep · 15/10/2014 07:13

Than you all so much. Thanks it all feels very tentative and risky but just have to put faith in nature I guess and hope they are healthy.

Ray - I am sorry you are still in the tent. It's horrible feeling like that and I hope it soon passes. You can cycle again next month can't you?

Euro - lovely news about your friend. It's good to hear that people go on to be successful after leaving the Argy as I really believed if they couldn't help, no where else could. I've become a bit dubious about some of their practices. Although I have actually been on more drugs this time round.

Fluffy - let us know how your consultation goes. How many rounds do you get on the NHS?

Sar and bunny - Thanks lovely you pop back in and hope your pregnancy bunny is going smoothly.

Nelly - goodness , Athens here you come!

joy that is fantastic news Grin Grin Grin I bled alot through my first trimester, brown red etc, it fecking freaks you out as you have lost in the past so you just automatically think the worst, when will have another scan. To be honest I think the ARGC has a reputation it really doesn't deserve and I think alot of women also believe that if it doesn't work there it won't work anywhere, I too know women who have cycled there and had success else where

nelly ooooooooooooooooooooooooh very very exciting Grin get emailing

ray sorry you are in the tent still

hello poco :)

lucieloos · 15/10/2014 11:00

Hi everyone just wondering if I can join you please. We haven't quite been trying 10 months yet, we are currently on month 8 but dh has quite poor sperm motility so our chances of conceiving naturally are not great. We have been told to keep trying until the new year and then start considering ivf with icsi. Haven't had chance to read back yet but will do so later Smile

MuddyWellyNelly · 15/10/2014 12:39

Hi Luci and poco. Welcome to our thread Smile.

Joy I'm still made up for you!

Buzzy I have Wink Email back to say I will hear more once she's met with the donor. I hope that doesn't mean too long a delay, I just want to get going now.

Forgot to say hi to doll. We miss you. And always lovely to hear from Sar and all the grads.

eurochick · 15/10/2014 16:20

nelly I hope Penny has good news for you. I'm so excited that things are moving forward for you.

joy someone told me that bleeds are more common with IVF pregnancies - something to do with all the rummaging that has gone on down there! I hope it is just your embies (plural-squee) burrowing in nicely. How many weeks are you now?

Welcome to our newbies.

Buzzybee123 · 15/10/2014 18:14

nelly I imagine the meeting is to get the ball rolling, on my cycle, I took the jab to DR for 18 days then 15 days of progynova that took us up to EC day, not sure how Serum work but they don't muck about, get that deer stalker out ready Grin

joycep · 15/10/2014 18:20

Buzz - scan booked in for this time next week. My clinic want to scan me but to be honest the bleeding went to a new level this pm, it's like a period so I don't think i will hold for a week or a day for that matter if it continues. It is horrible and impossible not to think it is going wrong.

Welcome newbies.

Nelly- so how do they time everything now? Do you just stay downregged until the donor starts to stim?

Euro- I think I must be 7wks tomorrow. Feels like 17wks of course.

Welcome to newbies!

Buzzybee123 · 15/10/2014 18:54

joy I am sorry the bleeding is continuing, it totally fucks with your head, I had a number of scan through my first trimester, about every 7-10 days, it was the only way to cope, I needed to know regularly that all was ok, Barry commented on how the baby was the most photographed and hadn't actually arrived Hmm

hello lucie

MuddyWellyNelly · 15/10/2014 20:10

Joy I'm sorry you continue to have to go through this. Did they see anything that could be causing the bleeding? Why oh why can't it just be simple now? You poor thing.

I've no idea what happens with me next. We need to know where the donor is on her cycle I guess. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long but who knows. For me, I think the DR I've taken just does it's thing now. Buzz what is the progynova? I don't have that in my bag of tricks. I just really want to crack on now.

Fluffy how did the consultation go?

CritterPants · 15/10/2014 20:21

joy oh honey I am so sorry, how ridiculously stressful and worrying, I would do the scan if you can anyway, at least to let you know one way or the other. Can you go back to the EPU? I wish this were easy and plain sailing.

fluffy how was your consultation?

Welcome to the other newbies lucie and poco.

nelly this part is not fun, the worrying and waiting before you have a schedule set. But every day you are getting closer and as buzzy says, we are standing by with the deerstalker hat for you to eat, with your choice of condiment, when you have a mini nelly on the way.

CritterPants · 15/10/2014 20:22

Also wanted to give a special wave to ray - I know you're having a mega crappy time of it and I so wish you could get a cycle in before Christmas. I hope your upcoming travel at least helps take your mind off things a little.
