Hi everyone, I know this is probably a bit early (since it isn't July yet) but I thought I would start a new thread for those who lost their tickets for previous busses and for those who are beginning their bus journey now. Please feel free to add your stats to the list and grab a good seat while you can. Best of luck to everyone TTC and I look forward to getting many BFP's posted on here.

kitty I had a lovely tan until the last day I didn't put enough cream on and now have peeling shoulders Grin

notoasthere the balance activ is a fertility friendly lube that makes the conditions right for the swimmers

Wineandchoccy · 22/06/2014 14:42

Sorry kitty I forgot to answer your other question 2nd AF is lighter one day then heavy the next and tmi but stringy with clots

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/06/2014 15:10

Feeling a bit better now. Ive just made nigellas raspberry chocolate pavlova! Yum yum yum! Hoping my tummy holds out to enjoy it...might skip the cream but I might have some anyway and pay the price later

FoscarC · 22/06/2014 15:17

cinnamon and Cpt I think you both sound like you are in a good position to have another child. You both sound like you have stable loving families and that is really the most important thing. One of my very good friends has 3 much elder siblings and she is the only one her age. Her siblings are all a good 15 - 20 yrs older than her and she loved it and they did too. They had a younger sister to teach things to and help out with and she had 3 older cooler siblings.

I am sorry to those who have had af visit. I am starting to get a bit nervous. Mine could come in the next couple of days. My cycle can be anything from 26-32 days so I don't really know. I've just dropped oh off at the airport as he has gone away again! Rubbish! We have just had a wonderful 3 weeks together for our wedding and honeymoon and it's back to reality with a bump. And work tomorrow. Truly rubbish. Think I'm more nervous as he is away and this is first time so not sure how I will feel if af comes. I've just eaten a lot of chocolate and I've cream to make up for it!

mrsextra I do hope you feel better soon. Sounds like you've had a bad time of it.

I do hope we start to get some BFP soon to cheer everyone up!! Yay!!

MissMrsMummy · 22/06/2014 15:35

notoast the balance activ is a TTC-friendly lube. There is also Preseed and Conceive Plus.

Balance Activ you can get from Boots and Superdrug, Preseed from Amazon and I'm not sure a about Conceive Plus.

Tip from personal experience - a little goes a long way! It's hard to actually maintain contact with your man if you apply too much!

TheGrandHighWitch · 22/06/2014 15:52

Thanks for the advice ladies. Rainbow555 my stats have been as follows:

CD12 Temp 36.36c, quite a lot of cm in the evening, negative opk, not fertile on microscope, high on monitor. DTD that night.

CD13 Temp 36.48c, not much cm, positive opk (as far as I can tell as all others have been clearly negative), partial ferning on microscope, high reading on monitor.

CD14 Temp 36.61c, watery cm, negative opk, ferning on microscope, peak on monitor. DTD in the morning.

CD15 (today) Temp 36.65c, no obvious cm, partial ferning on microscope, peak reading on monitor (but that is automatic as I put
cd13 stick back in to see what it would come up with). Not done an opk but will do soon. Expecting a negative again. Will DTD tonight just incase.

Sorry to bombard you with stats and for general grossness lol. Essentially my temp has been climbing for the last four days. Cm has been eratic and doesn't conform to usual cm signs around ovulation but could be down to the clomid. I think my lh surge was cd13 after the morning test, picked up by the afternoon test and cd 14 clearblue test caught the tail end so negative by that afternoons opk. I had a lot of twinges yesterday (cd14) and a heavy dragging feeling in that area so makes sense I ovulated yesterday so hopefully yesterday morning's dtd will have caught it. I have to say post ov last month I had symptoms galore but bfn and so far this time, nothing.

Wow, sorry for the mammoth post there. I will take your advice re dtd KittyVonCattsington just to be sure. I agree with FoscarC, cinnamongreyhound and Cpt1Sock you should go with your gut instinct on the size you want your family to be. It is natural to have doubts especially as babies can be very challenging but only you can tell if the positives outweigh the negatives. I only have one sibling who is 7 years older than me. Many times over the years I have felt sad about this as growing up, we were quite different. There have also been times when we haven't been in touch for a long while and that has been quite lonely in a way so I have wanted a larger family for a long while now because of it.

Temping sounds so complicated and like a lot of hard work! I have real respect for those of you that do it! I think I'll stick with OPKs instead! Although, after thinking O had ov'd on Wednesday last week I did another test on Thursday and Friday as I wasn't sure if the two lines had really been the same darkness on Wednesday and it was actually Friday when the lines matched so I think Friday was ovulation day. We DTD am and pm on Friday so I guess I am now in the TWW for the first time ever!

We got our mortgage offer through on Thursday which was what we had agreed to wait for before TTC so it was actually perfect timing. Now I will just have to chill out and stay completely calm and collected yeh right! until the 1st of July, which is when AF is due for her next visit!

lp2014 · 22/06/2014 16:43

Fingers crossed bluesky xx

FoscarC · 22/06/2014 16:54

Fingers crossed bluesky. I'm in my first 2ww now too and it's harder than I thought. I kept saying to my oh 'we won't try, we'll just stop trying not to get pregnant, be all casual and relaxed', but now we are actually trying I'm already getting a little obsessed. Keep thinking I'm getting period pains but nothing happening and not due yet anyway. Boobs sore but then they always are pre af. Going to be a nervous couple of weeks.

FoscarC · 22/06/2014 17:03

And I'm sorry if this sounds ridiculous to those of you who have been trying for months. Sorry if it does. But I think I'm just all a bit apprehensive and so on.

MrsI86 · 22/06/2014 17:04

Hi ladies, can I join you please?

MrsI86, 28, TTC #1, cycle #2, BFP due 11th July

lp2014 · 22/06/2014 17:09

Of course! Welcome! Xx

Blueskygirl30 · 22/06/2014 17:12

Thank you lp and FoscarC, I have my fingers crossed for everyone on this forum! Welcome *MrsI86!

I keep thinking how calm and none obsessed I'm being about this all, especially since it's cycle 1....but then I think about what I'm actually doing.....looking through my calendar for when AF is due so I can decide when to tell my DH about the BFP around him being away with work and then when I'll tell my family....I'm actually mental, and completely ridiculous!! I need to calm down now!

Is everyone else this mental or am I on my own with the level of mentalness???

BrixtonBunny · 22/06/2014 17:14

I'd like to join too - joining a bus seems like the best option as so many threads! This is first cycle so not holding my breath - hoping for lots of inspiration and positives in this thread to make the waiting go faster!

BrixtonBunny - 26, TTC#1, cycle1, BFP due on 6 July.

notoasthere · 22/06/2014 17:15

Thanks ladies...I should probably throw out the 2.5 year old conceive plus I have in my bedside drawer.

I'm currently 3/4dpo and woke up with terrible sciatica. ...it's all the way down from above my bum right down my leg - ouch!

notoasthere · 22/06/2014 17:16

And welcome to the new passengers!

BrixtonBunny · 22/06/2014 17:16

Bluesky - I totally know the feeling! I think it's quite natural, it's exciting and nerve wrecking and perfect day dream fodder, after all! Smile

lp2014 · 22/06/2014 17:18

Im the same bluesky!

Hi bunny!

Notoast- that sounds terrible! Bloody sore! Xx

MrsI86 · 22/06/2014 17:23

Bluesky, if you're mental then I am too. Last (first) cycle, I went from "if it happens, it happens, if not then we just keep on trying," to totally freaking out in case it actually did happen, to convincing myself that I was definitely expecting (after swearing not to symptom-spot), to crying when AF showed up... all within 2ww.

Blueskygirl30 · 22/06/2014 17:28

Thank goodness I'm not the only one! Hooray for all the craziness that comes with being a woman, and with TTC!!

BrixtonBunny · 22/06/2014 17:31

Yes, my partner does not seem nearly as jittery about the whole thing ("I just think it's all going to be fine") although he did ask me yesterday if I should POAS. Very sweet but had to explain that the process is not immediate!

FoscarC · 22/06/2014 17:33

mrsI86 - so reassuring to hear. I was so calm and laid back about it but the closer it gets to af time the more nervous I'm getting. And excited. And symptom spotting imagining

But it's all quite exciting isn't it!! I'll be doing my poas (if af doesn't turn up) on 6 July as my oh and I won't be seeing each other now until then (both work away etc), so around same time as you bunny. Fingers crossed for is all.

Now must go and do some unpacking and get myself in order before work tomorrow rather than browsing the Internet about baby related topics.

FoscarC · 22/06/2014 17:34

When I say I won't be seeing oh for a while and them say 'both work away' I am not saying I have 2 oh's!!! Just that he and I both work away. Just re read and sounded like I had a couple of husbands to entertain myself with!!

sparkle17 · 22/06/2014 17:35

So ladies, thinking about using opks this month. Where to buy and which kind are the best? Cheers

BrixtonBunny · 22/06/2014 17:44

Oh that's exciting foscar, we can keep each other company.

Sparkle, this month I used boots own brand ovulation tests but was not delighted by them - found it v hard to tell what was positive / negative (still not 100% convinced so have been DTD every other day). I think next month if I get a BFN I'll shell out on some digital sticks - maybe clearblue?
