A thread for anyone TTC with a ClearBlue Fertility Monitor!

Morning ladies!! I was hunting around for a recent thread for anyone TTC with a CBFM but couldn't find any - please let me know if one is ongoing that I didn't find!! But otherwise I wanted a place to share experiences with other ladies using this rather interesting gadget. It makes big claims for success!!

About me - I'm TTC baby #1, cycle #3, expecting AF or BFP on 2-12 June.

I'm still having slightly long cycles after stopping the pill - this is my first cycle using the monitor properly, because my last cycle went on for 40 days, and the machine got bored and stopped asking for sticks after 25 days!!

I'm currently on CD09 and had my first day of a high reading today, although I know the machine gives out high readings like they're going out of fashion so not reading much into that! Will be kicking off the SMEP (sperm meets egg plan!) from today though anyway just to be sure.

Hiya EagerBeaver101. My peak sticks second line was definitely darker than the first line but they were both darker than the lines in your pic so not sure how if we can compare tbh. I would say if you are still on high readings then you have either ov'd and the monitor has missed it or it's picking up highs for another reason. It is possible you are due to ov late in your cycle but if you don't usually have long cycles then this is less likely iyswim.

Help I missed a test today!!! I had my pee and totally forgot to collect it by the time I'd got home from work I'd missed my window. Will this affect it? This is first month of using the CBFM

ineedabfp i did that yesterday nothing bad happened today i had to use my 2nd pee because i forgot to use my fmu and still got a high

dildoos I would discount this month monitor wise and start afresh with EMU next month so you can gain a better idea of your pattern.

Another friend borrowed my monitor (it has done the rounds) and discovered she wasn't ovulating. She had her fallopian tubes cleared and went on to fall pregnant pretty quickly at 43.

Thank you super worm, it has given me highs before just last 2 months, so wondering if not ovulating anymore? Will try again as you suggest next month with EMU as to make sure no highs x

It's quite common to have the occasional annovulatory cycle so I wouldn't worry too much if it just happens sporadically. This month is probably too inaccurate to say you've not ovulated as it's not been monitored properly.

I guess you have seen the GP if you've had 21 day bloods. Did they say to go back?

Hello all, back again... Now well and truly into the tww so trying to keep busy and avoid google. Sorry to learn of your news chandlers, its good though that you have a firm diagnosis and that your medical team seem to have an action plan. Good luck and best wishes with your treatment.

Also, in know that some of us are using the original monitor and others using the advanced. The advanced one can also test for pregnancy and there are preg tests in the box that the monitor tests come with. Does anyone know when you can start testing for pregnancy with the monitor. Does it tell you? I am on cd23 now, AF due next Thursday/Friday. I was going to try holding off with testing till then but now I've got a little tight creeping into my mind that I could use the monitor earlier than that. Ohh it's a slippery slope...

Yes it does tell you guinea pig, mine did 3 days before af when it will also count down to your af too x

Im on my 8th day of highs how long did it take everyone else to get a peak ? I know it can give alot of highs first month but getting anxious on CD22 and monitor cuts off on the 10th

Hi EagerBeaver101. I had one low (cd7) then 9 highs following that, then 2 peaks then 1 high then one low. I stopped testing after that.

Its only my first month using it next month should be clearer once it hets used to me , just feel like there is something wrong with my body

I hope so EagerBeaver101 (that it gets used to you I mean not that there is something wrong).

What treatments are available for endomiatris (wrong spelt i know) and block fallopian tubes ? Has anyone been treated for these ? I know i don't have PCOS because I'm fairly regular in my cycles

Hi everyone. Looks like I am out for this month. I guess I need to buy another lot of sticks for the monitor now.

Me too grandhighwitch day 2 today monitors asking me to test day 8, think it was day 7 last month. Here's to cycle 2 :(
