Morning ladies!! I was hunting around for a recent thread for anyone TTC with a CBFM but couldn't find any - please let me know if one is ongoing that I didn't find!! But otherwise I wanted a place to share experiences with other ladies using this rather interesting gadget. It makes big claims for success!!

About me - I'm TTC baby #1, cycle #3, expecting AF or BFP on 2-12 June.

I'm still having slightly long cycles after stopping the pill - this is my first cycle using the monitor properly, because my last cycle went on for 40 days, and the machine got bored and stopped asking for sticks after 25 days!!

I'm currently on CD09 and had my first day of a high reading today, although I know the machine gives out high readings like they're going out of fashion so not reading much into that! Will be kicking off the SMEP (sperm meets egg plan!) from today though anyway just to be sure.

Would love to hear from you!! Smile

Hello! I'm having my 9th day of high fertility (flashing face) but the basic tests said I hit peak 5days ago and my body signs agreed. Wondering why clearblue test didn't detect a peak phase

I've been using the CBFM for 3months now and for the past 2months it has only picked up "HIGH" and waiting for a LH serge.

I'm really confused as the CBDS picked up that I was ovulating with a smiley face. (Day 15)

My cycles are a mixture of 34, 32 and 30 days in length.

I feel like I should give up with the CBFM and stick with the CMDS for testing as the faint lines on my tests say differently to what the monitor is. (Purple & white sticks shown are CMFM purple and purple sticks are CMDS)

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please I feel like I'm going fertility crazy.

Hi, I started using this immediately after coming off the pill as i had read so many stories/ spoken to friends about taking ages to conceive. I was lucky in that my period went back to very regular within 4 weeks of stopping contraceptives so this made it simpler. I spent 2/3 months using it to learn when my fertile days were and missing the BD opportunity for one reason or another and then got BFP in month 4 when i finally put it into practice!

One thing i would say that is really important is to pay attention to the instructions about how long you pee on the stick, for the first 2 months i did this for too long a time and so just got high fertility days for about 6-8 days without getting the peak. Sooo frustrating when it dropped back down to low. i actually read that advice on a thread similar to this and that is what stopped me from throwing the thing away! So thought i should pass this on. Now im happily 12 weeks pregnant and waiting finger cross for a positive outcome this week when we go for first scan. (anyone else find it weird that up until them we have had no professional confirmation only diy kits)??

Good luck to you all

Catnip

I have the monitor like the one in the photo, purchased either 2009 or a couple years after.

Does anyone know where I can get the test sticks from please? Only the advanced monitor ones seem to appear when I search....
