stubbornstains · 15/08/2014 15:10

(you'll have to let us know how authentic the Scottish dialect is ginger and annie!)

AnnieHoo · 15/08/2014 18:25

Dialect is pretty much spot on Stubborn.
This: ". So the other night, I was like ‘Yang Guang, I could pure go a black pudding supper – gonnie nip out to the van? "

stubbornstains · 15/08/2014 19:29

Hehehehe Grin

Dontgotosleep · 15/08/2014 20:24

Sods law I am in my fertile period and not at all in the mood, some days I could shag all day and other days I don't care if I never have sex again. Anyone else like this you'd think nature would make you more horny when you're fertile. I guess if we want this baby though looks like I'm going to have to jump on D.P. He'll be here at 11pm.
I'm shattered though. I think I'll have a few hours sleep before he gets here.
How's everyone else. x

Inshock73 · 16/08/2014 10:32

Weekend is here yay!

Ginger beautiful puppy! :) I want a fur baby but DP insists it would be unfair as we're both out at work all day and have long commutes too.

Don't I often find that's the case. Either we're both working late or too tired and the pressure of having to do it seems such a chore.

Tranquility Kate Silverton (you know the tv presenter) only has one tube and was told her chanes of having a baby were virtually zero, she's just had her second days before her 44th birthday and conceived naturally.

I was talking to my bank manager this week, she's 45 and has a 14 month old, conceived naturally and unplanned!

I'm now 10 days late, still not testing :) never been this late before. DP is getting a little excited but after the mc last year we've both agreed to take a laid back see what happens approach. I don't want to test yet, I know it might seem crazy but I want to sit it out for a bit longer. I can accept if it's negative although something has definitely happened this month but I can't deal with a positive and be excited and then another mc.

How's everyone doing?

Tilly73 · 16/08/2014 10:51

Hi inshock I see we here you are coming from with the bfn, you are being more patient than I could be!!
I also know what you mean about the fear of miscarriage..if I ever do get a BFP again I won't believe its real until I have that 12 week scan Hmm
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend Grin

Dontgotosleep · 16/08/2014 11:28

Hi Inshock. We never dtd last night. I was too tired. We dtd earlier on this morning though.

stubbornstains · 16/08/2014 20:20

I must be nearing ovulation....caught myself ogling the shelf stacker in LIDL yesterday. Mmmm....nice tattoos...Grin

Inshock73 · 17/08/2014 06:51

Thanks Tilly

Don't You're still in time! In fact I was told morning sex is better, higher sperm count.

Stubborn I always find my taste for the more rugged type man aka Gerald Butler returns at ov :)

Inshock73 · 17/08/2014 06:53

Oops Gerard not Gerald Butler :)

stubbornstains · 17/08/2014 11:09

That figures, the (strangely all male) staff at my local LIDL are nothing if not, er, rugged...Grin

stubbornstains · 17/08/2014 11:10

I'm not saying anything BTW, inshock. La la la......

AnnieHoo · 17/08/2014 11:38

Im looking fwd to testing out that theory. Grin

Yeah inshock, hum hum humpety hum tra la la la laaaaaaaaa.....

Tilly73 · 17/08/2014 14:47

Wish I knew that earlier this morning inshock Wink
Dtd last night though and have 2 bars in my cbfm so you never know. At least I feel as though I'm doing something again!
Very productive day today...even made carrot cake Smile

Tranquilitybaby · 17/08/2014 16:00

inshock can appreciate not wanting to test, it must be a scary time being in limbo, trying not to get your hopes up etc. Fingers crossed for you. Xx

My cycles are 26-28 days, I'm on day 27, had some cramping like AF is on it's way but no sign yet. Apart from feeling quite warm despite just getting back from a v hot Florida, no other signs so don't think this will be my month.

Whether it's PMT or what, but I had a few tears in the plane watching a mum struggling to soothe her baby during the night. Not sure if it was fear that I'd struggle to go back to that stage with such a big age gap between children if we did fall pg again or what I don't know.

stubbornstains · 17/08/2014 16:24

Oh, it's the most horrible point of the cycle isn't it tranquility? You find yourself thinking "If only AF holds off for another 24 hours then I might be in with a chance....." and knicker-checking every half hour (or maybe that's just me Blush). Good luck in staying sane!

I should be on the verge of OVing- I've had pains for a week, lowered temps, all the symptoms- except for an almost complete lack of CM. Where the hell has it gone?! (sulks).

Tranquilitybaby · 18/08/2014 03:16

Hope CM arrives very soon and sends you slippery! stubborn ;)

Here I am wide awake at 3am - Jetlag officially sucks! I want tea and biscuits, but we came back to evidence of mice in the kitchen, so it'd be my luck I'd tread on a trap if I go down! Bored....

stubbornstains · 18/08/2014 09:54

So, the GP (the one who knows about "lady stuff"Hmm)has just called back....she's going to try and get me a referral to a fertility clinic. No idea about waiting times. The criteria seem pretty strict, but she thinks I fulfil them. Hey, if the worst comes to the worst, women over 37 seem to be eligible for an "urgent referral"- that's nice Hmm! She says she can't prescribe Clomid herself- I know some GPs do, guess it depends on the PCT? I suppose it would be better to be monitored by the experts anyway, if I was taking it......

AnnieHoo · 18/08/2014 13:36

Sounds like the wheels are in motion stubborn. My referral took about a month to appointment with ob/gyn. Different everywhere I suppose. Good to be getting expert support. I ran out of first appt clutching my clomid prescription with glee!Smile

Had my catheter test today at clinic and due to start ivf protocol as soon as next period starts. Smile. Not expecting ivf to work at my age but you never know I could be one of the 12%....

stubbornstains · 18/08/2014 14:12

Indeed you never know! How long from all the preparatory drugs to actual, erm, growing little embryos and popping them in?

I think I may still have to do a bit of pushing to get those wheels rolling round nicely!

(ps- I just found the Clomid thread and did a bit of a mega-lurk....looks like there's been a bit of good luck just recently Smile)

AnnieHoo · 18/08/2014 14:28

I think the embryos, if there are any, will be put back in around 3rd week in sept.

Yes there have been a couple of BFPs on clomid thread lately and new joiners. I still lurk there. It does work! Smile

Tranquilitybaby · 18/08/2014 17:31

Good luck to you both stubborn and anniehoo things are going in the right direction at least. Xx

stubbornstains · 18/08/2014 19:15

Gosh blimey, at least it's fast when it gets going.....So, about 1-2nd week in October, providing you've got embryos, you'll know. For this round, anyway. GOOD LUCK!!
