It's funny as the months I had tons of EWCM I found I didn't fall pregnant, so don't get too caught up on EWCM if you don't produce lots of it and are knocking on a bit, I don't think that's a great predictor of fertility on it's own.

Probably one of the best things you can do to enhance fertility is quit smoking and maintain a healthy weight.

Oh yes, TCOYF is just a tad obsessed about EWCM...

I only mention it as the months I had LOADS I was think YAY!!! only to get BFNs. The month I fell pregnant (January) I had hardly any at all, sadly ended in mc. Then when I fell pregnant again in April I had bloody EWCM just before my period, then found out I was pregnant (not viable) after my period. So my relationship with EWCM is a tense one lol

Now of course when I want to see the stuff it is absent, and instead I have copious white creamy cm. I think my hormones are just screwed up still, every time I wipe I scrutinise the toilet paper and my pants to an inch of their lives. Not the way I want to live!!!

Thank you gingerbread sorry I've not posted sooner but been a busy week.

I was only trying for three months, second month ended in CP and then thought I'd be out when I didn't ov until cd 40 and me and ex bf split up. I got pregnant from the last time we had sex six/seven days prior to ov! My soap opera life!

I'm now 5w+2 so still early but got 3+ weeks on a digital so CP paranoia now abated. I'm now on blighted ovum paranoia train!

I'm 41 and single, told family and they are fine. Found out loads about my ex so have made a decision to not tell him about the pregnancy I know some of you will hate me for that but I've already had one control freak, violent man in my life and I don't want another.

Hope my story gives you all a bit of hope on ttc!

Had a look at your chart Stubborn it is eerily like mine before Clomid. It looks like your body tried to ovulate around day 16/17 and then again around day 27/28. Long cycles are so cruel, it's difficult to know when to DTD because you've already had a positive OPK so you assume it's over. Would be worth showing this to your GP and asking them what they think.

I'm using Softcups this month to try and get a BFP. I'm on CD14, 5th High day waiting for Peak day.

Anyone else trying Softcups? Ginger are you going to? The more I read about it the more convinced I am it works.

Hi everyone. annie I've used them after dtd last couple of months, no joy, but they're easy to use so whatever helps. How's your ivf stuff progressing? I'm researching. Gcrm open days fully booked for next 2 months but seriously considering abroad. I called gri, my apt next month is just to get me on waiting list, 12-14 months. Sod that!

Hi everyone hope you are all ok. Nothing much happening with me we've DTD a lot and I have no idea where I am on my cycle yet, so just trying to relax a bit

We're still booked for Spire Edinburgh clinic at beginning of July. It has to be Edinburgh as have family there to stay with. I looked at GCRM too. Can't believe how long the waiting lists are there. Have you checked out forums on fertilityfriends.co.uk but they're a bit depressing.... IVF is not the magic solution... That's why I'm totally going for it this month. God this is so hard!

But you are younger that me so have a MUCH better chance. It's only 15% -17% for over 40's.

Have you looked into serum in Athens, they specialise in older ladies. Feedback is amazing, it's on my short list annie. They're are waiting lists for gcrm too???? How long pls?

Annie I'm using softcups. I keep my hips up and pop it in straight after sex then stay with my hips elevated for 15 mins. I've been getting EWCM for a few days now and showed a high on the CBFM today. If I do ovulate this month (I haven't been charting my temps so I won't know for certain) it should happen in the next few days. Hoping I get a peak tomorrow.

I've also heard its good to pop in some conceive plus/pre seed into it before had however I've not done this yet (had 1 good to go but they're was a failure to launch incident). (Or 2).

I'm always so careful not to interrupt proceedings which is ridiculous and totally indicative of TTC sex. Whereas normally if it's a bit uncomfy is say, 'oi, stop, I need to change positions' now I accept it as otherwise the end result could be no baby juice.

Please God can I just get properly duffer so I can go back to having a fun sex life again. Thank you.

Ginger sorry I got confused there won't be a waiting list at GCRM, just long until open day. I have heard great things about Serum in Athens and saw a programme about it last month on the telly, the couple on it had quads - 2 sets of identical twins! www.facebook.com/ivfserum

If it was just me I'd be there like a shot. I haven't mentioned it to DH but I just get the feeling that he would say 'enough is enough' if i tried to drag him to Athens. But maybe I should look at it again...

I don't think I'm tipping my hips enough (1 pillow underneath) as when he withdraws he kind of kneels a bit on the mattress and it all runs out and I'm like 'oh no! quick pass me my soft cup!' and he's like 'your wot?'. Haha! Then I shove it up and try and scoop up what's left. I give myself the big O and nod off. I haven't been able to co-ordinate myself enough to do the mixing pre-seed around the rim with my finger thing yet.

TMI alert When i took it out this morning I had a look and there was about 2 x 50p size of what looked like EWCM/Semen mixed up in the cup so must have been left up there and good to know that was pressing against my cervix from midnight-8am... probably make bog all difference!

I don't fancy the thought of these cups but did get pregnant the last time after raising my hips up for 15 mins after, so don't know whether it made a difference
