Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Hey ladies sorry I have been awol and best wishes to all Its hard to know what to take and what not.. there is conflicting advice out there.

The job hunting has taken up all my time, I have an interview in the city tomorrow. Its difficult to be on the career path and hoping to be on the family path at the same time. So we'll see which wins the lottery first, if either!

Jess I sympathise with a difficult experience. Not getting AF after taking the pill is difficult. I have been off the pill and temping for 2 months and its hard to work out what's going on. Not even sure if I have ovulated properly yet.

Hey Mrs Mc you tell your FIL to get stuffed! It is nobody's business. I got married 2 months ago and already there are bets between our friends as to when we will have kids. I hate that kind of nosiness.

I am 30 and hoping for a first. It is hard to explain that I have wanted BFP for 3 years before even being in a position to try until now.

My good friend with 3 sons is pregnant again and fed up with the sex of the child questions. Yes a girl would be nice but everyone has different difficult experiences. Right now I am just hoping for one.

Hey endless hows it going early cycle days...no fun waiting is it. I am CD10 (last month 32) anyone else going to be hanging on to end of Oct thread?

One big positive for us is that the pre-seed stuff is fun, DH is lovely and small negative for me is that I hate grapefruit juice!

Anyone got any advice on how I can tell AF is really AF. OV really happened and why after really EWCM signs OV happened approx 4 days later?

xxx and baby dust to all xxx angel

Natty1806 · 06/10/2006 07:17

Sorry about AF Rubles. x

jess1996 · 06/10/2006 07:47

Help! Now I'm even more confused. Last night I thought AF had started (TMI warning - couple of spots of very pale pink on toilet roll), but then nothing at all overnight. Now a couple of more pale pink spots again this morning. This is nothing like normal AF for me! At the moment all I want is BFP, or if not then normal AF. What is my body doing? I was going to buy another pregnancy test today, now I don't know what to do.

cityangel - I stopped taking the pill in February. My 1st cycle was 35 days then I settled down into either 28 or 30 day cycles (never 29!). I noticed that each month AF was getting a bit heavier and more painful and I was getting acne again, so I assumed it did take a few months for the effects of the pill to totally wear off. When we started TTC in August I thought I was back to normal now I don't know what is going on!

Natty1806 · 06/10/2006 08:08

Jess - i would do another tests today or tomorrow with first morning wee. If neg then i would leave it 3 days and if no AF test again if again after another 3 days no AF i would visit gp just to see what he thinks.

Janus, you're not the oldest - I'm 39, soon 40 . So you are a mere youngster

Rubles - sorry af has arrived.

RachelRose · 06/10/2006 08:40

Sorry about AF Rubles and hope you either get your AF soon Jess, or preferably it stays away for 9 months

Flossam and Female - I definately agree with the other ladies who've said there is nothing wrong with a little bit of selective information for DH's. I dont think they fully appreciate the huge amount of information and tests and advise thats out there which can make it all a bit scary. I'd buy the tests you want Female and 'slightly mislead' you DP about the cost

Flossam, I don't tell my DP about the things I'm doing or reading because his philosophy is 'what will be will be' and may not think it's right to try too hard.

Welcome LynneClynne - Sorry about your MC, good luck with the ttc!

MrsMcJnr · 06/10/2006 10:42

It's over for me ladies! Temp dropped .5C and AF arrived with a passion. I will keep looking to see how you all get on and hope you only have to visit Positive November and never move there like me. Babydust to all of you xx

Now I'll catch up and come back....

MrsMcJnr · 06/10/2006 10:48

Babymad - how are you today? everything ok chick?

Rubles - know how you are feeling.

Hello to all the newbies and to all mu chums!

coggy · 06/10/2006 10:59

Sorry to hear that AF came for you MrsMc.

Babymad4num3 · 06/10/2006 11:02

Morning Ladies!
CD3 for me today, I feel so ashamed, here's me wanting another baby so badly and complaining that it hasn't happened when there are ladies that have been trying for their first baby, so sorry, I am so blessed I have two out of this world son's and I complain about the fact it taking so long for us to conceive our third so sorry! I am setting the wheels in motion into becoming a Childminder next week. TTC thing will not be my full focus anymore my full focus will be my family that I have and trying to do something positive with my spare time (Childminding), I will always be on here MN and daily thing and all that but taking a less stressful approach. I have two wonderful children already and I am thankful for that! DH and I decided that after Christmas we will be taking 3-4 months break, I time out period, and then try again but like I said not my full focus anymore!

Last night I was very heavy but then just stopped for a few hours, now back again at a normal flow, thanks ladies for your concern I am fine now even pain has gone, just chilling today! How is everyone today!?

3 more Cycle's till new year we'll see

sideways · 06/10/2006 11:08

MrsMc - sorry af has arrived

MrsMcJnr · 06/10/2006 11:25

Thank you for your support ladies, it is nice to know that you care, DH thinks I am making a fuss about nothing! His want is not as great as mine - yet!

Babymad - no need to feel ashamed, it certainly seems that we all feel the same about wanting a baby no matter how many we may have already. Having some already does not calm the ache!! Good to count your blessings though. I think the childminding would be great for you, you have so much to give and are such a warm person, you'd make any child feel relaxed and happy. Plus it'll be good for you to have another focus. Good luck with it.

desperate2bmum · 06/10/2006 11:46

mrs mc jnr - so so sorry i thought this was your month everything sounded so positive..bloody a/f what a bitch

babymad - glad to hear you are feeling better today and bleeding has eased you are sounding really positive good luck with the childminding!

city angel - we are cycle buddies i am cd11 today.

hello to everyone else!

RachelRose · 06/10/2006 12:40

So sorry MrsMcJ - its so dis-heartening when AF arrives isn't it. On the plus side, didn't you say that you had a slightly longer LP this month? And you've said to a few of us, there are still 2 more chances to go before the end of the year is out, and even then you'll still be within the average length of time it takes to conceive. I know that wont help you much today though.

babymad - you're child-minding sounds fab! . I bet you'll be really good at it, and the slight break from focussing on ttc will probably do you the power of good. So glad you are feeling better.

As for me, there is nothing to report. No AF, no symptoms and now, thankfully, no spot up my nose. Just an fun packed weekend ahead which I'm looking forward to.

By the way, went to see Children of Men last night at the movies. I wont spoil it but its set in the future and all females in the world are now infertile and a baby hasn't been born for 18 years. I did think whether the script was written by a ttc MN'er whose has just got AF again and is being really pessimistic . Its a good film though...

MrsMcJnr · 06/10/2006 12:58

Thanks Desperate and RachelRose

Can't bring myself to see that film!!!

Juicylucythe2nd · 06/10/2006 13:05

Hi Girls,

How you all doing?

MrsMJ - Thought I'd pull my wagon alongside for a while We haven't chatted in ages. Sorry about AF arriving. Know that feeling only too well. How's the work thing?

Sideways - always thought I was the oldest on here. Turned 39 in June. If this pg goes ok I'll could still be 39 when it arrives, but if it's late I'll be 40 (week between due date and birthday).

If I managed to conceive twice this year, there's hope for you all

MrsMcJnr · 06/10/2006 14:41

Ah hello there JL, how are YOU doing? feeling ok? I've been missing you! Thank you for coming to chat to me. Feeling pretty low but bought a gorgeous, expensive dress at lunctime for my friend's wedding and justified it on the basis that if I do fall this cycle, I'll still fit into it for my next friend's wedding in Feb! . Job is ok at the mo, very, very busy though! x

cityangel · 06/10/2006 14:51

Oh MrsMC how frustrating - Big hugs. I will be on Nov either way to catch up

Hello desperate2b my first cycle buddy :0) I expect you understand yours better than mine! Last month OV was around day 18, month before day 16 how about you?

I agree with mrsmc Babymad just because you have kids doesn't take away the very natural want for another.
Having another focus is a good thing. Job hunting is taking over my life at the moment. Its a difficult choice to take a break maybe it will be less stressful and you might conceive anyway.

My interview went ok but I don't think I got it . The where do you see yourself in 5 years time was an interesting question as clearly with kids in the park was an answer I decided to avoid.

Jess I think my experience is v similar. AF is v light but getting stronger and hopefully my cycles will get shorter. My skin isn't great either which is really irritating.

I hope everyone has a fun relaxing weekend. Angel

feedmenow · 06/10/2006 15:02

Hello everyone.
Rachelrose - whats with the spot up nose thing? I must have missed something somewhere along the line....
MrsMcJnr - so sorry about AF. But what the hell, you obviously deserve to buy a brand new dress! Did you get matching shoes, bag, underwear, jewellery and lippie while you were at it???
I had a consultation this morning for laser eye surgery. You can't have it if pg, but luckily they can squeeze me in next Tuesday when I'll be CD10 or 11 so I'm really pleased. That means that when I give birth I won'r have to faff around with my contact lenses and glasses (one of those things that really niggled me when in labour.....) Has anyone out there had it done?

Natty1806 · 06/10/2006 15:11

I was interested in having it done but my eyes seem to get worse every 6 months so not sure they can help me.

MrsMcJnr · 06/10/2006 15:18

Hello Cityangel - That 5 year question is a crap one isn't it? I agree with you though, I'm planning to be in the park too!

Thanks Feedmenow, hope the op goes well. I had never thought about my poor eyesight & labour! Funny you should say that about bag, shoes and underwear .. I have nothing that goes with the new dress!

rubyroo · 06/10/2006 16:21

hi just popping in to say sorry about af mrsmc and i didn't like to say before but yes i did bicycle this time after bd !! so maybe it does work or complete urban myth!! and whislt i'm here yes feedmenow i've had laser eye surgery about 3yrs ago and its great !! ask me anything about it! babydust to all who are still waiting to test

rubles · 06/10/2006 17:05

Cityangel - LOL at the 5 years thing..

Babymad - I think that focussing on the childminding is an excellent idea. It will be really good for you to take your mind off ttc, for one thing.
I reckon that the trouble with ttc is that it is too easy to put your life on hold because you keep thinking 'oh there's no point in starting xxx because I'll be pregnant soon' and then you don't get pregnant and you don't do anything you want to with your life, which makes it all more difficult.

MrsMc - what was your luteal phase this month? Is it the longest you have ever had?

Rachelrose - I have just had a squiz down the thread and I see you are due AF today. How's it going??? Very sorry to hear about your m/c by the way, it must have been devastating.

Anyone else due/testing around now?

jess1996 · 06/10/2006 18:56

After a 40 day cycle AF seems to be here . Although extremely light and pain-free. I know I'm not pregnant as got BFN today as well. I'm assuming that stress has made me either OV late or not at all. Does anyone know if a cycle without OV leads to lighter AF? Anyway, I'm glad to move on to next month and hopefully things will be back to normal. We've only been TTC for 2 months so I know it's silly to get in a stress about it.

Good luck to everyone else who's still waiting.

RachelRose · 06/10/2006 19:29

Hi everyone!

Thanks rubles, yup am due AF today but so far nothing. I've got it in my head that I didn't OV this month (the negative OPK's made me think that) so I'm not sure if I should expect it on time at 28 days or not? It was bang on 28 days last time.

feedmenow - the spot up my nose in not exciting at all. I was on the look out for PG signs and having that spot was the only unusual thing!!! Obviously not a common PG sign at all . I dont feel different so I guess AF is just hovering round the corner peering at me with her evil glare...

I've lost track about who is left to test?
