Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

Natty1806 · 28/09/2006 09:17

Thanks, so would you say you oved on CD15?

MrsMcJnr · 28/09/2006 09:29

Morning ladies! I am feeling chuffed this morning because my software finally gave me red temps which means that it has recognised my OV and thermal shift!

Oh yes, and I have one very sore boob! the other is a bit tender but the left is sore. Odd. I did do my breast self exam a couple of weeks ago and felt nothing so I do think it is hormonal.

Here we go!

Hello to everyone! Hello RR try not to worry, my advice would be to stop testing with the OPKs and just record temp and CM because the OPKs are making you feel anxious

Hello Desperate - thank you for asking about me! DH and I are fine though both tired over the whole sad at selling house thing. I have a make or break board meeting on Monday so I am a bit worried about that too. It is not a great time to get a new job is it? tell me more about mat pay etc. I thought that as long as you were in the job 6 months before the birth, you are entitled, is that wrong? thanks!

rubles · 28/09/2006 09:29

Yes, that's what I thought. It coincided with other things like +opk, sore boobs and drying up of CM.

MrsMcJnr · 28/09/2006 09:30

grrr what am I doing wrong!?

my chart

Babymad4num3 · 28/09/2006 10:03

Morning ladies! CD21 today, 9dop, temp still high been 36.8 for 3 days now! Had a bath last night then fell to sleep for a hour and when I woke up felt so very sick! Didn't get that much sleep last night! OMG I am so embarrassed this morning I tuck DS's to school and DS#2 4yrs turned round and said when a PG woman walked past "mum you know that brown girl she having two babies one in her tummy and one in her bum!" I went so red! OMG!

NattyandThomas how are you and bump doing today, and how is little man?
MrsMcJnr sounding good for you, good luck chick!
Desperate2bmum so sorry to here that AF came, hope you feel better soon!
RachelRose, what tests did you have for PCOS!
rubles I very much believe you Oved on CD15!
cityangel so sorry you had a bad day, chin up chick!

How is everyone!?

MrsMcJnr · 28/09/2006 10:12

Oh Babymad PMSL at your DS - that is SO funny!!!!!

I am shattered with no good reason. Last night I fell asleep on the couch (and missed the 1st half of Wire in the Blood ) and though I went to bed as soon as it finished, I can hardly keep my eyes open today. I am only 3dpo so am not even going to kid myself that it is anything to do with TTC probably just life taking its toll on me at the mo.

Sorry to hear you were feeling sick - was it the flapjacks? (sorry that was really mean and I was only joking )

RachelRose · 28/09/2006 10:41

Hi all, there's a few potential morning sickness ladies out there who are feeling tired... Mmmmm, could be heading for good news

So sorry about your job cityangel, but at least you have a good ttc plan for this month. Are you confident of finding something else or can you manage without working for a wee while?

Rubles - You could be right, I'll wait and maybe test again using OV tests for one more day then I'll leave it there that month (You're right MrsMcj, I thik they've been stressing me out a bit the last few days). The previous times I became pregnant I didn't do anything except BD regularly. I'll maybe go back to basics next month

Natty - I've only been trying for 4 months, which I know is not long, but I lost my last pregnancy at 21 weeks last December and I know I have a high chance of it happening again, so I guess I'm just keen to get over that first hurdle again soon.

Babymad, I know it sounds awful, but I can't remember what specific test they did but I know I was scanned and there wasn't a problem. I was also tested to see if it was a brain tumour which I found a bit scary but that was all fine as well. In the end the doctor said it was just one of those things and may have been stress related. Either way AF came back about a month later. Its really good to hear your temps are still high!!!! Looking good

BTW, Babymad, love the story of you DS. Mine is only 2.6yrs so have all this embarrassment to come!

Have a happy day all

RachelRose · 28/09/2006 10:53

Eeek, just looked in mirror at work for the first time today and I forgot to put make up on before I left the house!! What a numpty...

Babymad4num3 · 28/09/2006 11:00

one time DS#1 4yrs at the time, told my mother I had carrots for my tea and now I can see in the dark.................................................. when you put the light on! bless

MrsMcJnr · 28/09/2006 11:28

RR - LOL at no make up, suspect you don't need it anyway! I came to work on the train last week with bright yellow pollen from lillies all over one side of my face and noone said anything!

cityangel · 28/09/2006 12:59

Hello ladies. I should be fine I have five weeks to find a contracting or permie role. Hoping for something near Canary Wharf. Something to distract me from waiting for BFP anyway. Does anyone know if having wine can make your temperature higher the next morning? Also any tips on how to persuade shagged out dh to bd?
Good luck everyone.

MrsMcJnr · 28/09/2006 14:24

Hello Cityangel, good luck with the job hunt, as you say, you have time to find something . Alcohol does apparently raise your temp the next morning, but as I have wine most nights that state is probably my norm! As for strategies to make our men perform, it's a tricky one - have you tried some naughty videos!!

desperate2bmum · 28/09/2006 14:46

city angel - i am cd3 aswell how long are your cycles? mine are at the moment 26 days long but should be 28 days. what a bummer about your job hope you find something soon!

mrsmcjnr - you are entitles to maternity pay if you have been working for your employer 15 weeks by the time you are 26 weeks pregnant. so i have worked it out that it is the first 11 weeks when you are with new employer that you cant get pregnant. this is where my problem comes in because i am absolutely hating my job at the moment and want to go elsewhere but i dont want to stop ttc for 11 weeks and not only that dp went mental when i suggested it which is a good thing because it shows he is commited to bringing a baby into the world.

rubles - thanks for the sympathy, i am ok this month have got all the essentials so ready to rock and roll and bd of course this is my 4th month now of ttc and i know its not long at all but it is a little frustrating!

hello to everyone else i havnt mentioned nothing to report from me today pains have eased off slightly. i have a tonne of house work to do and shopping...and pick up my pre-seed
please can some1 tell me which days to use it?! cant wait to put it to the test! if i do get my bfp this month i shant know what did it for me as i am taking soo many extras!! (b6,folic acid, grapefruit juice, cough mixture, pre-seed) and my target is to bd EVERYDAY sometimes twice(or is that classed as cruelty to dps?) from days 8-3 days past ov.

rubles · 28/09/2006 14:48

Cityangel - you must be around my area then if you want to work in Canary Wharf.
Re: the temps and wine - like MrsMcJnr I drink a glass or two on most nights so that is my norm, but when I go out and drink more than that, my temperature is clearly higher.
My advice about trying to get your man to perform would be to hang back and pretend you're not interested to take the pressure off him...although there is obvious scope for that plan backfiring.

Natty1806 · 28/09/2006 15:05

sorry for your loss RachelRose. Hope eveything works out well for you in the future.

Yeah alchol makes temps go up and is more obvious if you only drink once a week.

I am in the two week wait now so avoiding booze and more than 1 cup of coffee a day, still going to the gym but have just read on another thread good and bad point to this.

rubles · 28/09/2006 15:07

Oh my d2bm, I'm exhausted just reading your plan for this month.

As to when you used pre-seed, well I used it one month when I knew I was within 5 days of ovulation because it is quite expensive. I didn't tell dp I was using it so I had to be very quick and crafty about it, but he did noticeably enjoy the sensation and thought it was all me, so it has other benefits too. Use it as often as you can afford, I guess.

MrsMcJnr · 28/09/2006 15:08

Thanks Desperate - I have decided though that what will happen, happens if I have to move and am outwith that, I'll have to find a way, just not prepared to give up TTC! I am on my 4th month of trying too.

Just use the pre-seed whenever you BD or only on fertile days if you like. Your plan sounds very tiring . I had planned on BD everyday for a week around OV but as it happens, there were 3 BDs, one every other day. Some books say that is better because of the concentration of SF but who knows!!

I am still exhausted - I could fall asleep right here!

swift1 · 28/09/2006 15:39

Hi everyone, i am thinking of getting some preseed, and have a question.

Can anyone use it, or do you have to suffer from dryness. As thats what it advertised on the box. And I am really moist , so dont think i need it cos of that, but definately need a habd getting p.g. And can someone tell me what bd is.

Sorry for sounding srupid. TIA

Babymad4num3 · 28/09/2006 15:49

omg I felt so sick when i woke up this afternoon one min i was watch TV next a sleep, an hour later woke up felt so sick, same thing happened last night and TMI coming up, I've had clumpy, creamy CM whats that all about!?

Babymad4num3 · 28/09/2006 15:52

swift1 anyone can use "Per seed" it help's the sperm travel/swim alot better.

cityangel · 28/09/2006 15:53

Hi All,

Have applied for lots of jobs so we'll see! I live and work in Canary Wharf so hi to Rubles and any other locals.

My last 2 cylces were 28 and 32 days. Thanks for the video tips. I may go into HMV in a long coat and dark glasses! Its difficult enough trying to buy pg kits without bumping into friends and colleagues!

I am trying to find the courage to buy the organic grapefruit juice. I hate the taste of the stuff! I also find the ovulating sticks v confusing are they supposed to work 2 days before OV?

PS: Swift bd (baby dancing sex)in the acronym list link at the top right.

rubyroo · 28/09/2006 18:48

hi to all got my progesterone test back today it was 31 which means i ovulated but not very high i think? does anyone know what it means? have finally cracked and bought a first response kit i am 10dpo today so plan to do it tommorrow am i mad? feel very upset really bout whole thing

desperate2bmum · 28/09/2006 19:37

i lurve graefruit juice!

mrsmcjnr - its sounding very good for you this month. when i was pregnant i didnt test until 7 days past a/f but in the week af was due my symptoms were EXTREMELY sore boobies, constantly hungry and fell asleep ANYWHERE! ANYTIME!

pre-seed is here so is cough syrup so is epo so are ov sticks so is grapefruit so is pg tests so is temps..anything ive not covered?! oh boy is dp in for it this month hehe

rubles · 29/09/2006 09:13

Rubyroo - don't feel down about that, that is GOOD. You passed the cut off of 30 which means you ovulated and you have a healthy amount of progesterone. Please don't worry yourself unnecessarily about it. Did the doctor talk you through your results? Did he/she not try to make you feel more at ease? As you will have seen on the other thread, other doctors have said anything above 15 means ovulation has occurred, so with that cut off point and a level of 31 you have very comfortably got enough progesterone to prove ovulation. Please don't be down about it, it doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about. Mine was 22, btw, and I still think I ovulated last month.

rubles · 29/09/2006 09:14

Babymad4num3 - when are you going to test? Aren't you about 9dpo now?
