Hoping for a positive in October!

Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

i think i ovd around the 16th,had lots of ewcm,and we bd'd quite alot around then!(dh had been working away so i mad the most of the time he was at home!!

hey guys! got my bfp!! last night at like 5 in the morning i got a really faint line. bought a first responce and got a huge positive i nearly feel of the loo! i had convinced myself it was a false positive!

how is everyone else?

Does anyone on here know if your temps have to stay high in order to be pg- can they drop to your cover line approaching af and you still be pg?

ok i went for it this month big time!
bd everyother day (once while dp was asleep )
and i stuck me feet up in the air immeditaly afterwards and refused to move for 1/2 hour (to dp emmence amusment)
charted temps, used tcoyf software, (according to that tho im not pregnant this month )
oh and cough medicine, grapefruit juice, and lashings of babydust from you guys!
still in shock! took so long last time i cant believe it!

my temps have been rediculously high since ov and havent dipped once. dont know if this helps xxx

NattyandThomas - what have your temps been?

Andi - when did your temps dip and did they go back up again? I have looked through the 'Chart Gallery' in Fertilityfriend and I have seen people who were pregnant have dips in their temps, (I know - sad, sad, sad, sad ME). But I always take a dip near the end of my cycle as being a fairly sure sign that AF is coming in a day or two.

Buffy if you ovulated around the 16th then the hormone could be high enough now. However, if you are going to be so down about a negative (false or not) then obviously you need to try and hold off as long as possible to avoid that.

Buffy, that would make you 9dpo now so you might get an accurate reading but would be better to wait, and saved your tests, these stats could help:

Positive BFP Percentages according to dpo:

• 35% at 10dpo
• 51% at 11dpo
• 62% at 12dpo
• 68% at 13dpo
• 74% at 14dpo
• 80% at 15dpo
• 88% at 16dpo
• 92% at 17dpo

Hello Babymad - trying to be pos, convinced a very hungover DH to BD last night as showed him my software which showed yesterday as being our best day, but that changed this morning to a good day and today is now the best so he is groaning (and not in a good way) and has told me he'll leave some in the fridge for me!!

Hello Andi - it's not over yet, my money is still on you I don't know if your temps have to stay high only that high temps are a good sign. Have you had a look in the back of the book? there are some troubleshooting pages and I am sure there is an erratic pregnancy chart which has temps below the coverline on it. I'll check tonight for you (in the office today)

Thanks for the low down N&T - LOL at DP being asleep!!! resourceful woman you are! Every other day the whole cycle or just after the fertility signs were there? I actually find it really hard to stay put after BD! I read somewhere, years ago, that it is really good for you to go for a pee after sex as it helps prevent bladder infections, I guess it just became a habit after that and I do find it hard to stop doing that (though I am getting better!) Wow, those temps are high!! really, so very pleased for you and will miss you so please come back and chat to us and hopefully we'll all join you soon on the ante-natal threads! When do you think you'll be due? The software tells me that if we manage it this month, our baby (fictional at this point!) will be due on 19/6/07 or anytime between 9th and 29th!

Thought I'd let you know what led to my BFP:

Pregnacare - every day for the folic acid + other vits
Royal Jelly - only started begin Sept, so don't really know if it made a difference.
Evening Primrose Oil CD1 to CD10
1 glass Grapefruit juice CD10 - CD20
Guafanesin (only managed morning and night CD10-20
BD'd CD9, 11, 13, 15 and 16.
Raised backside in the air for 20mins afterwards.

Thanks JL2, we need that kind of info!! What day did you OV? I think I'll have to start the headstands, hip lifts and leg bicycles, Toni says no need but both you and N&T gave those swimmers gravity defying assistance!!

By the way, said on the other thread how much I have been missing you! very selfish given all you have going on but don't be a stranger we so want to celebrate your BFP with you (not with booze as it's Monday and you have no doubt taken up permanant residence in our wagon!! now I know why you were doing it up to look so nicely!). Really hope that this isn't another false start for you. x

i must say mrsmc that the legs in the air worked BOTH times i tried it.. i just forgot until this month so i thought id give it a go!!!
not leaving here till past 12 weeks as have m/c b4.
oh and we bd everyother day ALL month (hard work for me as dp responce is often "if you want it take it" TMI i know!!)

Sorry Andi, forgot you didn't have the book yet! I am no expert at this but from those temps, it is hard to see when you OVd but that said, you may be one of those "women whose temperatures do not reflect the heat-inducing progesterone produced following ovulation". On the Ovusoft website there is a cycle gallery and there are some examples of everything you can imagine, some of them are successful charts with no temp changes at all - I guess it just depends on all the other factors too and just goes to show that temps alone sometimes don't tell us very much! Will still check my book for you tonight!

andi0411 how long are your cycles?

andi0411 did you only get +opk on them days? I'm trying to work it out for you, I posted my chart is on "Saturday, 16 September, 2006 10:45:26 PM" on the "ttc jan thread whos not got there bfp" you know the one, take i look i OVed on the CD12 you'll be able to see the dip then a big rise!

Hi Ladies, I'm a bit late checking in today and its ALL been going on!!! My God... Massive congratulations ot NattyandThomas! Thats fantastic news - LOL about the bit about nearly falling off the loo . There's some good tips from you and juicylucy about how to do it. Congrtualtions Juciylucy too!!!

It seems like its a good month for babymad and MrsMcj too! Could be a bumper baby month . There's lots of postive vibes going round.

I doubt I'll be joining you on any antenatal threads as CD19 and still no OV sign on my tests, I'm going to buy another pack and keep going to see if anything does happen - it just may not be an OV month (didn't know that happened til I started looking at MN )
