Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

wil you said it perfectly! The upduffed are our rays of sunshine, and I do love an update from everyone, be it scans, or crepes!

Snow\michonne, sort of not really kinda briefly for a month with diff lengths cycle buddies it is!

ZingWatermelon · 04/05/2014 23:13

ness, wil

it wasn't nice in the beginning because of all the MCs, that's true
but it's settled after 1st trimester and now we are chatting.

I dropped out of JSing grads as I didn't want to have to double post - I prefer the bus as we are all due in the same month it feels moe "comrades" -like somehow.
and there's a mix of "me me me" and real conversation, which is good.
people tend to reply/respond to each other which is great.

I love being little ray of sunshine, it make me feel useful!Smile

ZingWatermelon · 04/05/2014 23:16

and Ness

I don't post when they talk about buying baby gear - we have everything so it doesn't interest me. unless they are asking for advice.

Babblehag · 04/05/2014 23:36

oh yes upduffed ladies, please do stay and natter, I also have a mahoosive Grin every time I see bfp (and let out a little squeak )

Off to bed now viroids my stats as of today

babblehag 31 ttc#3 cycle #2 cd1 kids already 2 bio, 1 step, 4 step-step.

I think that's how it goes?

Babblehag · 04/05/2014 23:38

oh and been DTD without protection since July 13.

Minion · 05/05/2014 05:30

Morning, agree with everyone above. You guys are my mates, make me laugh and I want the very best for you (a shower of BFPs and lottery wins), why would I leave! But again, happy to do one if it gets too hard, I may sulk for a bit but I'll get over it...

Here's my story: TTC since jan 1st 2013, decided that we'd give it a year until we got a bit of help. Doctor thought longhaul was messing up my system, turns out he was probably spot on as 2nd month of no longhaul and checking on OPKs I got upduffed. Current living in a state of perpetual nervosa and yesterday actually saw the area above my pubic bone begin to swell and stick out. I'm only just under 8 weeks. I've a feeling I'm going to be mega large.

I'm gonna pop my head in the grads thread, haven't been over in a while.

But I'll be back... (Read that in an arnie voice for full theatric dramaticity)

cookielove · 05/05/2014 08:12

Hello I don't want to leave either, I guess you worked it out through my long time lurking!

I love seeing everyone get their bfps!

Aubergine congratulations :)

My story is: Sept 2012 stopped using protection, Jan 2013 started ttc, may2013 started using opks June 2013 tried Smep boom bfp!

cookielove · 05/05/2014 08:19

Sorry posted to soon.

My story continued:

12 week scan, confirmed mmc baby died at 8+6 :(
Had Erpc the following week and the baby was genetically tested. Stopped jsing till we got results.

Baby died due to a chromosome 1 deletion, and husband and I tested to see if we were carriers. Dh came back fine, I came back carrier free but diagnosed with triple x syndrome.

Booked in for genetic counselling in April, Jan 2014 dh and I have epic argument regarding him not wanting children anymore, I moved out for a day, 2 days later I find out I am pregnant!

Currently 19+6 dh seems settled and baby has a 3-5% of inheriting my disorder.

wilhelminand · 05/05/2014 08:29

Cookie what's SMEP?

Min I want to stroke the mini-bump for luck.

I wish you could know straight after icing if you were upduffed. Even if you still had to wait two weeks before trying again. Because then you could have two weeks of fun instead of two weeks of crazyness.

Babble can you explain step-step children? Are they siblings to the step-child?

I have the things where my ears block up and I feel sick this morning. Which during TWOT totally fools me into thinking it's morning sickness, even though I know better. Someone hooya me please.

wilhelminand · 05/05/2014 08:51

Sorry Cookie I x-posted, wasn't just ignoring your second post. Hope Mr Cookie's reaction was just down to all the stress of the mc and genetic testing. I'm off to google triple x syndrome because I don't know anything about it. Ttc is such a tough journey for some people Thanks.

lil1ady · 05/05/2014 09:00

sorry...I feel like I made ppl feel unwelcome. I don't want anyone to leave either! and I love it when you guys get bfps. I have to confess min and dulcet I have come to feel close to you guys as we've been in this thread together for so long and trying for similar amounts of time, so you 2 getting bfps in quick succession is huge inspiration to help me stay positive. stick around and wait for me to join grads with you? Smile

I like the idea of the updates on bfps. its easy to mix up how long ttc with how long pol have been on thread.

best go carry on holidaying!

cookielove · 05/05/2014 09:00

wilh its the sperm meets egg plan, basically you dtd every other day from day 6 ish in your cycle, then when you get a positive opk or you know you are ovulating you dtd for 3 consecutive days, miss a day the dtd again.

Dtd:do the deed.

wilhelminand · 05/05/2014 09:33

Thanks cookie. Mr Wil is not a fan of organised sex but I am going to try to implement that one on the sly next cycle. If magical smear test hasn't worked of course. Did you manage to rub statue knob Lil?

RPopz · 05/05/2014 09:39

Wow you lot have been busy! I had to go to bed at half 9 last night cos i was so bloody tired... missed all the action clearly!

Well this morning is cd36 - first official missed period day. Did a clearblue cos I'm crazy stick pee-er and its epic positive! My line is darker than the control! Grin Bit of a weight off my mind... for now haha!

Re: the summing up. My journey doesn't seem very dramatic at all to write down (especially compared to some others) but its certainly felt it at times. TTC number 1 since September 2013. Started losing the plot slightly around January 2014 and began seeing the GP about anxiety which resulted in me being on fluoxetine. Had some bloods done, which thankfully came back normal. Got majorly hacked off when AF arrived in March and so became a virtual parody of someone ttc! Used the clearblue fertility monitor ultimate contraband, used PreSeed when JSing around icing time, drank grapefruit juice for first two weeks, ate pineapple for second two weeks, did SMEP (although we didn't manage to JS on ovulation day due to work, and we missed the very last day because we... had a row instead haha). Totally unexpected BFP at 12dpo. Fingers crossed it will stick Grin

I'd like to stay too! If you'll have me ;-) Can't remember who said it but I was also worried about "rubbing it in" I've certainly felt that way when I've been on the monthly buses in darker times... every BFP seems like a personal slight. Can't remember who said this either but... agree that the antenatal boards are a bit like people just posting their own updates - not much conversation going on. To be honest I found a lot of the TTC threads were like that too which is one of the many reasons why JSers are the best Grin.

I was wondering about making a JSers grad Fred last night... but I felt sure that one must already exist! So will have to go and hunt it down...

Hope you all have a wonderful BONK holiday ;-) Good luck to everyone TWOTing... xx

RPopz · 05/05/2014 09:40

Wil, Mr Rpopz didn't know we were doing smep.... Wink lol x

SnowCoveredHills · 05/05/2014 09:42

Hah yes Lil that's the important update we all want - did you rub the statue's knob, and did your DH do it as well for good measure??????????

SnowCoveredHills · 05/05/2014 09:44

Rpopz good to hear your line is getting darker!

Did Mr Rpopz know you were using Preseed, or did you just sneak it in there before dtd??

RPopz · 05/05/2014 09:48

Haha no, he knew about the Preseed. He quite liked it... Hmm

DulcetMoans · 05/05/2014 09:51

Oh lil, I understand! But we won't go anywhere and hopefully you'll be with us in no time. Same thing happened to me when I was on the Fred in 2012. The lovely ladies I talked to most (MrsBri and peardrop) got their BFPs and left so felt a bit lost. MrsBri pregnant with second now. Crazy! But I'm here while you are, don't worry!

And in terms if my story, I kind of outlined it a bit when I announced but in summary; started TTC March 2012, got engaged July 2012 so took a break to make sure wouldn't drop over wedding. Break was tough but we still weren't very careful. Went to GP in Sept 2013 who ran a bloods and SA before referring us to clinic. Appointment with them in Jan, DH all fine but my blood work indicated no ovulation. My theory was short LP which I did try to tell them... Was due back 15th May for follow up where I suspected a round of clomid. Before this one, I've not had a sniff of a BFP in this journey so was a worry that I couldn't do it. At least I can get one BFP! Full active TTC journey was 20 cycles and most months was EOD so it been tiring!!

lil1ady · 05/05/2014 10:08

no haven't made it there. dh not bothered about going as he's read not good reviews. but we will probably be back again as we are stating in apartment owned by family so cheap hol....if we still don't have a bfp then, I will demand that we rub the statues knob!

thanks dulcet. I really am so pleased you've got your bfp. you deserve it after so long Thanks

Lala5 · 05/05/2014 10:17

No signal where I am. Honestly really not that much - just once a day! But that's enough...

Lala5 · 05/05/2014 10:19

Congratulations aubergine!!

Will need to read rest when back home

Babblehag · 05/05/2014 10:24

Wil yes they are half siblings to dss, all grown up, so ds goes to stay with them in holidays, we visit them often, and one of them visits us often due to them having transport. We are the only parentage they have, me and dp got together 8 months after their mum died.
