My lovely DD was delivered safely this afternoon. 8lb 3 oz and 58 cm long. My blood pressure dropped a few times during and after the CS so am posting later than planned, but otherwise all is well.

Her big sister has visited and approves, whew.

No name yet, but will update you.

Thank you all so much for your support during this pregnancy.

BellyD · 04/08/2014 22:08

Congratulations mrsp! How lovely!

I've only posted here occasionally, and you dropped off my list Blush

I'm currently 9 weeks and being treated by Prof Brosens in Coventry with 20mg prednisolone, clexane and progesterone. My uNK cells were normal, but the results came back after I got a BFP, so I was put on the full regime just in case.

I've been having fortnightly scans, and all is looking good. I'm feeling like shit, which is also good.

I will start weaning myself off the pred next week, and will be off all meds by 12 weeks.

The meds have all made me feel a bit worse, so I'm as hungry as a horse, and eating like a pig. I've put on weight quite rapidly, and am really hoping that this will drop a bit once I'm off the pred.

I shouldn't complain. I'm completely in awe of having got his far, tbh.

Anyway, big wave to everyone!

Arianrhod · 05/08/2014 14:41

Congratulations MrsP!!

MrsPixieMoo · 05/08/2014 19:47

Thank you all so much for your kind words and enthusiasm. I'm really enjoying newborn snuggles and wish this for each and all of you.

bakingtins · 05/08/2014 21:30

Congratulations Mrs P lovely news!

freelancegirl · 06/08/2014 15:34

Not quite a birth announcement but I just had another good scan with Mr S and my last intralipids so officially I am a normal person now. I've been looking back over my diary entries since finding the treatment and I'm pretty sure that without it I wouldn't have had DS and hopefully be on the way to having a second child. My nk cells levels are amongst the highest they see in the clinic. Hope that gives hope to some of you!

dildoos · 06/08/2014 18:55

Such a lovely positive post freelance, I love to hear other propels experiences and certainly love to hear a baby came out of treatment plan Smile
May I ask as have not got appt until 27/10/14 do you complete treatment and then try for baby again or is the treatment something you do alongside TTC? X

freelancegirl · 06/08/2014 19:22

With mr S you usually start taking steroids from ovulation and then increase them (if being treated for very highl levels) on a bfp or stop taking them if not pregnant. He will probably also want you to be on vitamins and low dose aspirin before ttc too.

Mel3062 · 06/08/2014 21:23

Aw congrats mrs p! And congrats on the scan news free x

bakingtins · 06/08/2014 21:46

Congrats on being 'normal' free hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.

sparklingharbour · 07/08/2014 18:22

Hi, I don't normally post here but I just want to add a positive story and say I am nearly 37 weeks pregnant now with DD2.

I tested positive for NK cells with Shehata at Epsom Hospital (was referred to him on the NHS), and after prednislone and progesterone I stayed pregnant after 3 previous miscarriages. i didn't take the aspirin for the unscientific and irrational reason that bakingtins consultant (I read her advice on another thread)told her not to, so I just copied as it made sense to me.!

Good luck to everyone - it's a hard road, but fab advice on here.

dildoos · 07/08/2014 22:14

That is lovely sparkling it truly is another world with the medications and different conflicting consultants but is nice to hear what others have done/not done for their successful pregnancies. Congrats on your news I bet you are very much looking forward to meeting your new pink one :-) xx

tannyLoo · 08/08/2014 06:00

Sparkling how lovely! I remember you from my early days on the RM thread, under your other name.

I've started to wean off pred. Prof B wanted me to cut from 20mg down to 10 for a week and then down to 5 before finishing. This seemed a bit drastic to me, as I felt rough when I had a delay of a couple of hours last week. So, I've reduced down to 15mg and see how that goes, and then down to 10 next week, and so on.

I've had bad insomnia and restlessness since reducing, along with some stomach knots. My mood is shockingly low, and I have spots (again).

So do these sound normal to you? Any tips or things I should look out for?

At least I am recognising them as symptoms, to begin with I just thought I was going a bit loopy Hmm

I'm 9+3 today, further than I've got since my ds, so quietly hopeful, but term seems a very very long way away!

sparklingharbour · 08/08/2014 11:15

Tanny yes I was loopy, had insomnia and frequent crying on the prednislone. However even after I stopped I was too - turned out the progesterone really affected me too. I had meltdown in the days after ceasing progesterone - crying at kids party, crying at midwives. Midwife said affect of coming off it could be like what your body feels after giving birth!

It is good to know it is not you but the meds.
I stayed off work for the entire pregnancy in the end (lucky to get sick pay). Even after the meds I just felt rough (but that was unrelated I am sure - no reason why you cannot be back to normal once meds out of system.

sparklingharbour · 08/08/2014 11:16

Yes to spots too, and bloated face. All gone now, am gorgeous Grin

tannyLoo · 08/08/2014 11:52

Yes! I've also come off the progesterone! Thank you so much, sparkling so good to know it's not just me Grin

And am looking forward to getting back to my gorgeous self!

freelancegirl · 08/08/2014 16:28

Hi Sparkling lovely to hear from you and great news you are almost about to give birth! I hated progesterone and was so pleased to come off it a couple of weeks ago (I am now almost 19 weeks). I was spotty, nauseous and all sorts. I came off Pred a couple of weeks before that (down from 40 - dropping 5 mg every three days) was relieved about that too. Although neither are fun - thank goodness are not on them for that long.

willitbe · 08/08/2014 20:35

freelance - you can't possibly be 19 weeks already,,,, was it really that long ago I saw you. Wow, I am so happy for you.

freelancegirl · 08/08/2014 20:56

It was! I will have t
