OMG so excited Mrs pixie! Keep us all posted xxxx

I am on my way to an appointment at kings to discuss previous heart condition and induction. I am hoping they will just say have an elective c section. Will keep posted.

Question for those who took or take heparin injections. I'm running out of room - did anyone love to their legs? I'm a little worried they may not be as effective there.

Hi everyone else!

tum - my midwife actually told me to stop doing my Clexane injections in my abdomen, which was swiftly echoed by the consultant. They told me I should be injecting in my thighs. Not that I listened, as IMHO that would REALLY hurt (me) ... but yes, certainly you can inject in the legs instead.

MrsPixieMoo · 01/08/2014 20:09

Tum hope all went well at kings and that you're booked for an elective CS.

Thanks Free and Village as well for your support.

I've been booked in, got my drugs for Sunday night and had bloods done so am at home now, counting sleeps and praying all goes smoothly on Monday. Will let you know as soon as there's news.

Waves to all and good wishes for a relaxing weekend xxx

Mel3062 · 02/08/2014 05:42

Aw pixie good luck exciting times ;)

MrsPixieMoo · 02/08/2014 07:45

Thank you. Am actually back in hospital. Stopped feeling the baby move and had a massive panic. Came in and am on monitor. All looks well but I can't feel my usually wriggly baby moving, which is scary. They think she has moved to an awkward position so I'm in on the monitor for a bit. DH was called in to work and the nature of his job means he has to go ( military) so I'm a tad scared and feel silly as the midwives are being very reassuring. They've said I can stay until I feel her move, so am hoping that's soon.

Mel3062 · 02/08/2014 07:52

Aw how scary for you but relieved all looks well hopefully shel give you a big kick soon xx

Tumtimes1 · 02/08/2014 09:10

You're in the best place there - and I can understand your panic. Everything will be absolutely fine. Every day when I wake up takes me a while to be at ease until I get a good kicking. Xx
So excited about your c section date.
Looks like I too will be going down the c section route. What drugs did they give u? Any prep tips? Xx

bakingtins · 02/08/2014 09:15

Sorry you've had a scare mrsP but good that all is well. Best of luck for Monday!

Tumtimes1 · 02/08/2014 09:26

MRS P, hope you're at home now with your feet up. Keep us updated. xx

So I went to my cardiologist appointment and the palpitations and weird flutter type arrhythmia sensations are normal (for me). My previous heart condition was WPW (Wolf Parkinson White Syndrome). I had an ECG yesterday and thankfully this hasn't returned.

The doc said that I could go down either route of induction or c section, but because of my history and the extra heart beats and anxiety etc (had 1.5 years of CBT on the back of the heart condition) he doesn't think it unreasonable to request a C Section.

I am hoping that my consultant agrees to this and understands the reasoning behind this. Believe me, I don't look at this lightly and understand it carries its own risks.

In an ideal world I would love a natural birth, but because of the high risk nature of the pregnancy that option was off the table a long time ago which I accept.

I am now hopng that my hospital and consultant agree to the c section. Fingers crossed. xx

Tumtimes1 · 02/08/2014 09:27

Hey Arianhod thanks for that advice. Did your consultant tell you why they prefer the legs? Is it because of running out of room or because its more effective?

You are right my thighs kill (instant bruising) when I inject there. :-)x

MrsPixieMoo · 02/08/2014 09:44

Tum good luck with getting that sorted.

Thanks for everyone's good wishes. I'm off the monitor and have had normal investigations and started feeling kicks again, so am going back home and coming back tomorrow for another time on the monitor.

Have been really well looked after so feeling a bit better.

Tum the drugs I have are ranitidine which I think is to stop stomach secretions.

Waves to all x

Hi everyone it's suemays, on holiday in Portugal and couldn't remember my login details so had to do a new one!

mrsp glad to hear all is ok now - the worry doesn't stop until the baby is safely in your arms and then there's the next lifetime of worrying over them!

scooter often wondered how you were doing. We went to st marys and I found them to be useless as they just put me on two doses of baby aspirin. They couldn't give me any answers either. I have tried dr n at zita west in addition to mr s as we were thinking of egg donation in Spain through them. I like the way they approach each client holistically and don't adopt the same treatment plan. I couldn't get on with being on steroids with mr s every month as it played havoc with my cycle. Dr n prescribes a lower dose from bfp and intrallipids before a bfp once every 3 months around ovulation. That worked for my last pregnancy in nov but I lost the baby at 6 weeks due to food poisoning. They also charge £165 for intrallipids so the cost is lower than most other fertility clinics. We couldn't afford to keep on with intrallipids elsewhere when they were charging £350 a go! Unfortunately money does play a part when you have been Ttc for so long.
I would do as duggs did and get the hidden infection testing done with dr gorgy. Put your DH on a high omega 3 diet with lots of Brazil nuts and pumpkin seeds plus Wellman tablets. My DH eats omega seeds from holland and Barrett on his cereal and he was congratulated by staff for his sperm on our failed ivf 2 years ago. I think it's down to his diet. His hair has also got thicker too! Bad sperm is easier to sort than crappy eggs.

Sms72 · 02/08/2014 12:17

Forgot to say my preg in nov was natural as we haven't gone down the donor route yet.

VillageMum · 02/08/2014 21:02

Mrs P, sorry you've had a scare... hope all goes well tomorrow!

dildoos · 02/08/2014 22:51

Mrs p how scary for you , hope the c section goes well Monday, so close for your cuddles now and you must be getting so very excited Smile

dildoos · 02/08/2014 22:56

Oh and I have a tip for after c section buy sea salt and add a tea spoon to your bath for added healing and I bout sanitary towels to wear next to he incision as stopped clothes and seat belts rubbing it! I stuck it to knickers and soft spongey next to area and don't get annoying bits stuck to it either ( went for huge padded pads) hope this helps Smile x

dildoos · 02/08/2014 22:57

bought not bout

MrsPixieMoo · 03/08/2014 12:55

Thanks ladies. Had a further time on the monitor this morning and just been discharged home. Baby was wriggling so much it was hard for them to get a good trace, but I'm feeling much better for that. Planning a relaxing afternoon now before coming back tomorrow. Looking forward to posting good news. Waves to all x

Igggi · 03/08/2014 14:45

All the best for tomorrow, keep posting if you're bored (I waited half an hour for first cs, and eight hours for the second - you just need to hang in there!)

MrsPixieMoo · 03/08/2014 14:48

Thanks Igggi. Eight hours sounds very long…

freelancegirl · 03/08/2014 16:57

Good luck for tomorrow MrsP! It won't be long now, although hopefully you won't have to wait 8 hours. Baby tomorrow! Ahh but that does mean we will probably lose you on the thread as you descend into feeding/sleeping madness.

BellyD · 03/08/2014 19:09

Good luck for tomorrow MrsP, wishing you the safe arrival of your little one.
